This was my first time getting my nails done professionally on my own- I was really excited because they were able to take me in later that day and I was excited to get pampered. When I arrived there wasnt anyone at the desk that I could talk to about what I wanted, and another lady already doing nails took my information and I couldnt explain what I wanted. Later, when I got called for my service, the lady completing my nails had an airport in her ear and was on the phone the entire time; then switched when the one she had in her ear died, and i thought she was talking to me at times but wasnt. Then as she was competing my manicure she pulled out her phone and she was video chatting with a man and had the camera on our hands!!! It was incredibly weird and unprofessional, I was incredibly uncomfortable. The lady also didnt offer me a menu for my pedicure, only asked me if i wanted a basic, when the woman next to me received a menu..I probably would have spent more. I also mentioned that it was my wedding on Friday and I still didnt get offered any other services..I wanted to feel pampered my first time getting my nails done by myself and this really ruined my experience. Im glad they were able to take me in that day, but it was awkward and as someone who has never been to a nail salon I had no idea what to do. It doesnt reall matter, but I wont be coming back unfortunately.

Didnt have an appointment, but took me in for a fill!! Very nicely staffed, unlike the one in Bath shopping center. They were very nice 👍

We were only in town for a wedding and my moms nail broke. They squeezed her in the day of the wedding and the owner fixed her nail, an ombre french powder dip, (not a simple fix especially when you have to match someone elses work.) they truly saved the day...thank you SO much!!

The nail technician did not even cut my toenails, he did however nip my cuticle badly. The polish application was sloppy and didn’t he even polish the entire nails. I was so disappointed with the pedicure I cancelled the gel manicure I was supposed to get.

I get the best pedicure from Hom (sp)who I have been going to for years!! Shes knows just how my crazy nails grow.

The only complaint I have is that I was told I was going to be serviced in two minutes and ended up waiting a total of forty. Well I guess I have one other complaint, the girl who did my nails did them pretty well I wish she would have took more time shaping the nails. She did something weird which was painted my nails (which the gel polish is chipping from my thumb nail right now and it hasnt been a week yet) and I had asked her to file the sides of the nails better (before she painted them) as I got the ballerina/coffin shape and she started doing this after the nails were painted and it was obviously removing the paint from the edges and I asked her not to continue doing so and to please correct the paint as I wanted it wrapped around the whole nail, and she seemed to get pretty aggravated with me. But I will continue going there as they seem to be the best nail salon around. I will just have to try a different technician.

Sam did a great job on my pedicure. She was professional, thorough, and quiet and unlike on my previous visit with another staff member, she completed my treatment in a timely manner.

I stopped going to nail world years ago bc I left in tears. Someone wasnt paying attention and put a legitimate hole in my nail. I came back to give them a chance mostly bc all my friends go there. Today I went bc I needed them to take off some acrylic nails and just do polish. The man that did my nails made me feel horrible, kept telling me to go home, big sighs like I was Inconveniencing him. When I pulled away several times bc he hurt me, he laughed. I will NEVER go back there. When I went to pay I was really hoping to speak to the manager/owner but she was getting her nails done. So Im leaving, hands bleeding and in tears feeling humiliated, hurt and not heard. Last $35 theyll ever get from me.

I had a manicure with regular polish because I love the color. It was done quickly and neatly. I had to wait for the polish to dry but that was my choice. I have had gels for my hands and they are nice but just wanted something a little different. Thanks.

Such a wonderful place. The staff is so kind and friendly. Their work isnt completely perfect, but they are so nice and worth going to.

What I love about Nail World is, the manicurists listen to what you are asking for. I have a broken finger with serious nerve damage. Lily, the owner is the young lady that treats my hands with such care. She has never caused me any pain! Lily is a delightful and cheerful conversationalist, whom always creates the most beautiful outcome in nail care. I will never go anywhere else for nail care!

The ladies and gentlemen here were very nice, even though we showed up just prior to them closing. They took their time and treated my daughters and I right. We always use this location for my oldest daughter to wax her eyebrows, this was our first nail experience. Great job. 👍

Visiting this salon, for the first time, was a disappointing experience. The nail station and tools that were used were visibly dirty. The salon tech used nail files and tools that had been used on other customers. I could see remnants of multiple Polish colors on the nail file. I asked the nail tech three different times to reshape one nail because it looked terrible. I keep my nails shaped so, she didnt have to do very much. Her response was, Its your nail. She was clearly upset by my request. I was cut and bled. I could see and feel caked on buildup inside the machine while my nails were drying. To end the incredibly unsatisfying experience the tech unscrewed the lotion container, slathered the stem of the pump on one arm, then hit my other arm repeatedly to get more lotion to come out. This salon is the most unsanitary place I have ever been to. I will not return.

The salon is just like every other nail salon which is run by Asian or Vietnamese families. It does not matter what state or what type of neighborhood you are in these are always the same. That stated, I by no means am suggesting the work is poor or overpriced, because it is not. If you are not looking for high end pampering, a little privacy and looking to converse or strike up a conversation, this is your place. The prices are somewhat reasonable if you settle for the classic level for everything, but Ill tell you thats tough. I decided on the classic pedicure for $21. That is a great price, no fancy extras, just what I wanted a pedicure and polish. However, my idea of whats included with a regular pedicure and there idea is quite different. Ive never had a pedicure that did not include use of a pumice stone or callous tool, except for here. You can get it done, but it will cost you an ADDITIONAL $15. The inexpensive pedicure is not so inexpensive anymore. On the positive side staff is quick an efficient.. We were out in record time, so Im not sure the experience was a relaxing one, but the end result was the same.

Worst nails Ive ever had. Went in to get tips put on with dip. All my nails are uneven, the dip is bumpy. My fiance actually asked me if a 5 year old painted my nails. One of the nails has already broke and its only been 3 days. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because Ive gotten a pedicure there before and was happy with that.

The place was really well set up, well lit and attractively decorated. The service was nice - there wasnt a long wait time, everyone was super friendly, and it was easy to add tip to the total. I wish I could give it a better review, really, because the people really were very sweet. However, for a $31 gel manicure, the job is pretty poorly done. The guy didnt cut my nails, but sanded them shorter aggressively and with very little care. My nails are uneven and different lengths, the edges are coarse, some corners are pointy and some are rounded, and my fingers /hurt/. The process was done very quickly and very, very roughly, to the point of painful. Even the lotion bit - which I could happily do without, because it always feels awkward - was brusque, less massage and more aggressive kneading. I gave a $3 although I probably shouldve given less, and any tip at all was based strictly on how nice and friendly the guy was. I definitely wont be going back.Also, the teenage son of one of the manicurists flirted endlessly with a girl waiting for her mother. He even went out and bought her ice cream after she said she didnt drink things from Starbucks (which was his original offer). It was hilarious. Mothers (and fathers), beware thy teenage daughters. Hah.

Ive been enjoying excellent service at Lily and Andrews shop -- first in downtown Brunswick, and then at Cooks Corner -- for sixteen years. The employees are friendly, their shop is clean and pleasant, and all of the nail technicians do great work. The only problem is that their shop has become so popular that it can be difficult to get an appointment on some days!

I have been going to Nail World for 14 or 15 years. I have always been happy. I get pedicures regularly and also have acrylic nails. I have been to a number of other salons, both locally and around the country, and have never been as happy as I am with Nail World. Also, the Nail World techs are skilled at artistically creative designs, and I have received many compliments on my nails.

Dont waste your money. My daughter and I both went to get manicures today and were very disappointed with our Nail World experience! They do a quick turn around but that isnt exactly a good thing when they take no care on doing a good job. Negatives: No base coat; 2 layers of hastily and sloppily applied polish; 1 top coat; no polish clean up around the nail bed, the skin on my hands is much drier than it was before the manicure; and the polish wasnt brought to the end of 3 of my nails and on 1 of my daughters. We were rushed right through and were both done, nails dried, and back in the car in about 20 minutes. Definitely not the experience we were wanting and we dont be going back.

I have been to Nail World a few times before over the years and used to love Phoebe and never had a problem there. I went for the first time in about 8 months to find she is no longer there (this was right around Easter, 2014). I went for the standard pedicure and the lady who did my pedicure was nice enough, but she was SO ROUGH.About a month later (a couple weeks ago) I noticed my nail polish bubbled up a little on my big toe. I picked off the polish where it was lifting to notice that my TOENAIL was coming off with my polish!Update* here it is, 7 years later and my dermatologist as well as a podiatrist have looked at my foot. My toenail has never grown back the same since this pedicure and I have been told by multiple doctors it was due to trauma to the nail bed from aggressively pushing back my cuticle. Now I have a deformed toenail thanks to this pedicure.Please be careful getting pedicures because I never knew this could happen. :(

Extremely expensive for poor quality. I went for a no chip manicure and a regular pedicure and it was $55. (They wanted an additional $20 for no chip on the pedicure) 2 days later my first fingernail chipped, I went in and got it fixed. Later that day two more chipped. Less than a week later all the nails were peeling off. Not worth the money at all.

I don’t usually write reviews, but everyone should be aware of this place. My sister got tips on her fingernails and the ones they put on were way too narrow so she had her real fingernail sticking out on either side of the fake tip. We brought this to their attention and instead of fixing them, they took their nail clippers and clipped off her real nail from the root to the end, causing extreme pain. So instead of making the fake nails match the width of her real nails, they made her real nails the width of the fake nails. This was after my step mom got a toe fungus from this place. Do not recommend.

U went in at 5:00 pm this was my first time getting acrylic nails the guy I had clearly was rushing even though they didn’t close till 6:00 or 7:00 pm.Im a young girl and saved my birthday money to get nails only to be disappointed I had to go back the next day to get them fixed then the next day 1 broke off I went back and I asked what the refund policy was because I’ve had issues. I was told “our refund policy is that we fix your nail with a smile and they were just straight up rude”. Not to mention while shaving the gel off I could feel the girl that was fixing my nail going on my real nail not the gel or acrylic it hurt and she said that hurts like no I’m pulling away cause it feels great! DONT GO THERE IM VERY UPSET

Not happy at all 47.00 for gel polish no manicure didn’t cut my cuticles said I didn’t need them done but I do. It was$37 last month n then asked for a tip? Polish wasn’t dry nails are clumpy rough n didn’t clean under my nails. Colors bled into each other not impressed going back tomorrow n they going to fix the mistakes. No they going to redo them I have a wedding on Sunday embarrassing to go as they are now. Kyle does an excel job been to him before but VERY disappointed this time around.

I do not usually write reviews but I want to be honest about the experiences we have had at Nail World. They basically churn and burn (and cut your skin at times too). They rush through the manicure and pedicure treatments and the polish is not applied well. This last visit (and it is going to be our last) the woman doing my daughters nails cut her three separate times while trimming her nails. She was rushing and the polish was not put on cleanly or evenly. When I advised the manager she only offered to have us do this gel manicure all over again and would not give a credit. When we went back an hour later after deciding to redo them they said we had to wait at least 30 mins! Poor customer service and unprofessional results. There are much better places to get your nails done.

I went in with a couple of family members for an event we were having. It was ones first time having a pedicure so she didnt know how anything worked and the worker put someone elses shoes on her, and the other customer got mad at my family member. I got a french manicure which was applied well but then there were a bunch of small bubbles on every nail by the time I was readyto leave. Maybe I just had a bad experience but I dont suggest going here.

Not many options in Cooks Corner. Chose this salon even with bad reviews bc I had never been.The secretary had NO PERSONALITY. Young and on her cellphone.I asked for gels, she said its an extra $20.00!!I said $20.00 extra with your bad reviews???She said it lasts a couple of weeks - in return I said Yeah its SUPPOSED tooDidnt even know she said anything when showing me to my chair. Didnt look at me when talking. Guess youre suppose to be a mind readerWas told it was $27.00. Then asked for tip, said add $5.00. Was charged $35.00???Never will go back. Will never recommend.

If I could give this a zero star I would. I have been the three times and two out of three has been terrible. First time I went for my very first pedicure I got a male who never spoke to me made me more nervous then he did a hot towel wrap on my legs then started to beat my legswith his fist next morning I had a huge bruse on my leg. This last time I went I had another male who seemed nice at first but he became rude did a terrible job on my nails he couldnt paint a simple heart and now two weeks later two of my nails have cracked all the way to my skin and are bleeding. The pain is unreal. I have been getting my nails done for years and never had this happen before..

I wanted a new acrylic set and was told oh it only needs a fill ... so i did as they said just the fill .. the polish didnt even cover my whole nail and I was not imoressed by the bumpiness of my nails not filled down enough and smoothed out ... I went back to have it fixxed. With a new acrylic set again is what I asked for and was told no u dont need that they just need to b fixxed. So I let them fix them and I am a lil happier but wont ever go back again. When a customer tells u what THEY WANt .. DONT TELL THEM THEY DONT !!!!! GLAD IT WAS JUST A manicure AND NOT A WAX OR PEDICURE ... never again !!!!!!

The place is dirty, I cannot stand it when the techs are loud with each other in their own language and they dont talk to you at all. My girl hardly cleaned my cuticles and when she took off her rubber gloves to paint my nails she had at least two badly infected fingers/nails it was disgusting...I wanted to walk out. She painted very poorly and polish chipped in two days. Bad experience

I made an app that I got there and they took 3 people ahead of me, I waited 30 mins to get my nails filled, so dont bother to make apps here, they dont honor them..smh
