To whom it may concern. I am a patient at the Brookline location. I am writing this letter on behalf of the staff there. Johanna, Hanna, Yasmine, Ally and my Dr. Loconte. all of them are such beautiful people and have helped me so much with what I have been going through. Along with such caring hearts. !They deserve a thank you from their manager and from me I am grateful to know each of these individuals and may God Bless them always !!!!! Thank you πŸ™

I have been a patient here for over 7 yrs, have had three or more different doctors on my case, and have been very pleased with the level of service, and the positive changes in my life that are due to their work. If I had known how easy the onboarding process was, I would have started far sooner. I was actually referred to New Horizons by an ex boyfriend who is still out there, sadly. But if YOU are ready for your life to become more stable, if you are no longer interested in the lifestyle that comes along with a daily need for opiates, then trust me, take that first step, call them, and then do whatever they ask of you. It may be a long wait for the first visit. This isnt done to upset you, or to make you leave, it is to make certain you are serious. Addicts are known to be impatient, except of course when waiting for their dealer. Ask yourself how far you would go to get your pills, dope, etc, and take it to the same level for getting yourself some help. The office staff has changed a few times over the years, and from what I can see, it seems like they promote from within, which makes me happy, and tells me I can count on their commitment to their customers (patients). The Covid crisis has been handled professionally and with the least amount of stress possible. My hats off to them for this. Ive worked in small businesses all of my life so when I see a place like this grow, I tend to take notice to see if there is something that I might learn from them.I hope I wont need New Horizons forever, but its comforting to know that they are there for me if I do. I am now able to do the things that I kept TRYING and FAILING to do while I was struggling with my addiction, like work a full time job, be a mother, a girlfriend, a daughter or a friend who shows up for life, a woman who can be proud of herself again, who people can rely on to be where they say when they say. My dad calls me the phoenix of the family. From the ashes indeed.

I have been a patient now at New Horizons for over five years. All I can say is that the frontdesk staff has always been so friendly and accommodating, though they do seem to cycle through people pretty regularly up front. Ever since they moved from Beacon Street to the new location on Harvard Avenue, the office workers have been the same people for over a year now, and the best that theyve ever had. The doctors definitely seem to know their stuff, providing answers to all of the questions & concerns Ive had over the years. I now joke with my wife that, at first it seemed like a big mistake to let a stranger into my life who I met just because I worked at a convenience store and he smoked cigarettes. I usually felt that I could hide it well, but he seemed to be able to tell immediately that we were cut from the same cloth. He told me that he had been on Suboxone for the past five years, and if I had MassHealth, which in fact I do, that I should look into this New Horizons place if I want to make a positive change in my life. Im not really one for following the rules, so I actually got kicked out within a year of my first round being a patient there, just not following their rules. After a year though, I got serious and have been back with them since around Halloween of 2015. That friend was literally in my life for less than two months, but we now agree that everything happens for a reason, and this is a great example of that. It takes all kinds to make the world go round, and I see examples of that more and more every day. The first doctor I saw was very very friendly and knowledgeable, and the relationship that we established made it so that I was embarrassed, and felt like I had let him down, and it upset me. Once I was back on the street it definitely made me realize what I had had going on, and that I messed up a great opportunity. Fast forward to now and Ive been sober from opiates since 12/31/15 and my life has definitely changed for the better. I would recommend this service to anyone who finds themself in dire straits and looking to start fresh and once again be a productive member of society. I myself felt hopeless and figured I would never get back to the happy person I once was, but these guys showed me that it is possible and I am forever grateful.

First off... there are not enough words that I could possibly type out to explain the level of excellence this office provides. Most people dread going into their doctors appointments but I truly look forward to my weekly visit with the staff at this location. I’ve been utilizing this office for almost 5 years now (on and off, but most recently 3 years straight) and I really can’t imagine myself going anywhere else for my medical needs. The staff is amazing and they’re always laughing with me. If they’re having a bad day you certainly could and would never know. The staff knows my routine of needing gloves and lysol wipes... I mean hey...after all it is the running joke that I’m the weekly cleaning lady... I told you, always laughing. I’ve been on a weight loss journey at the same time and with all the encouragement of the staff, they’ve helped push me when I thought I would never get past the plateau that I had hit. The office manager is also going to be letting me showcase my art in their office permanently as an artist, which is a dream come true. I have always wanted to be able to publicly display my art to the civilian eye to tell a positive inspirational story that this new way of life is absolutely the MOST amazing gift you can and will give to yourself. I’ve bounced around to a couple different doctors in the office however I personally grew really fond of Dr. Laconti. This doctor truly is the most personable doctor I have ever spoken to. His β€œolder” style of endearment is what caught me. I’m an old soul stuck in a β€˜young’ body so when I ever first met with this doctor I knew I would be remaining my days as a patient here as his patient. I will do whatever it takes to always adjust my schedule to make sure Dr. Laconti is my doctor.I know I have said alot, but I really cannot emphasis how incredibly compassionate, caring, kind hearted, welcoming, and encouraging the entire office staff is.When I lived in Springfield Ma I skipped the framingham office to attend the Brookline office (1.5 hour drive). Now I live on the South Shore and skip over the Quincy office for the Brookline office. No matter what, I will always attend my services in the Brookline office. I will eventually no longer need the Doctors services but I absolutely will never end my therapy sessions with Michael. Connecting with therapists as always been a struggle for me and I always turned away male therapists do to my own reasons but I was at a point in my life with working EMS during the COVID outbreak, I was in desperate need and gave it a shot. I actually really enjoy having Michael now as part of my support system. His way of understanding is truly connecting. He isn’t a therapist just to be a therapist for the paycheck, he genuinely wants to help and make a positive impact on this clients lives. I look forever to growing even more great that what I have grown to be with Michaels support.Like I said... there just simply...is not.....enough.....words!!!! I’ve built my own little family within this amazing doctors office!

This place is terrible! Had an appointment for the first time mine you, had a 345 appointment wasn’t told I had to be here an hour early, so They wouldn’t let me see a doctor, rescheduled to a Saturday because I have a very good job that I can just leave early from, appointment was for 1145 I got here at 1030 because they were so stern on getting here early it is now 12:30 and I’m still sitting here waiting to be seen, not a very good first impression if you ask me, if I’m late they cancel my appointment without any problems at all but when they are late they could careless and will have you waiting and waiting until THEY are ready, already hate this place and would never recommend it to anyone

Going on 3 weeks now without medication. Their only psychiatrist is a nurse pnmhnp dnd? and works only on fridays. Call me crazy(lol) but Im very certain that leaving client without medication for weeks is frowned upon by the medical establishment.
