David at the Brookline center is a fabulous therapist; as good or better than the best massage therapists anywhere on the planet. Ive been to world-class European spas, spas at various Ritz Carltons in CA and FL, the Boston Mandarin Oriental and David is better than these. Hes got a gift. After just two visits, I was living pain free in my neck and shoulders after years of misery. Hes the only one who after decades of massages figured out how to release the knots. God bless him!

Today was my first visit to a massage envy location in Boston. Im used to going to places on Newbury Street and today I realized I was wasting my money. Natasha in the Brookline location was outstanding. She was so sweet and professional. I felt like a new person after my experience. Lovely people and worth your time and money.

I usually don’t write negative reviews, I like to boost businesses when I can, but when businesses treat their customers the way I was treated at massage envy I feel like we need to hold them accountable.First the good. His name is Kenneth, good quality professional masseuse, and the people at the front desk are usually very friendly when welcoming you to the store.The bad: I’ve had masseuses not named Kenneth ignore muscle groups that I specifically requested attention for, canceling is a nightmare if you move because if you don’t submit a form saying you won’t sue and complete a survey 10 days before your next billing they continue to charge you. I spoke with the manager about the form and she was unfriendly and unprofessional when answering questions and refused to cancel for me unless I complied with the procedure. She said “you signed to start the service so you have to sign to end it.” Instead of explaining what it was, basically telling me to shut up and sign it when I just wanted to ask what the purpose of a second signed agreement was. Overall a very bad experience with management, and pathetic that a manager who’s paid to interact with clients would behave this way. Will recommend friends not to use this location if asked.

I had an appointment for my husband for Valentine’s Day we canceled and they was supposed to refund us and we never received our refund and now it’s may I have been calling but the “manager is never there” I would never go there again poor business ethics.

I went in because my neck and shoulders hurt. She massaged my shoulders fine but my neck is still in as much pain as when I walked in. Feeling like I wasted my money honestly and am very hesitant about signing up for the year membership that I had been very excited for initially.

Went here for my first massage and ended up walking out with a membership 😂. I could be easy but $65 per month with an hour credit included is a great deal especially after the massage I got. Plus you can transfer the credit twice a year to a friend or family member.It hurt so good at some points but I had a lot of tension and knots to work through. The process of undressing and positioning on the table was as awkward as one could expect but the massage therapist was very reassuring and made me feel less weird. Am excited to destress and give my muscles some much needed attention once a month!

Zero stars. Don’t waste your time or money on this company. I booked an appointment over a month in advance. They cancelled on me the day of my couples massage and told me that I was booked in a time slot that they don’t ever book. This was a gift to my best friend who was moving across the country the next day, so it was really unfortunate that they cancelled at the last minute with zero remorse for the situation.

Today I had my first massage experience at Massage Envy and I loved it. We (my SO and I) were welcomed with hot tea and neck warmers. The front staff was professional and everyone seemed serene.I had the pleasure of working with Laura who explained in detail the massage procedures and was super friendly and caring throughout the whole experience. I highly recommend her!

I booked a massage about two weeks ago because I have a day off. Their policy was that I gave them a credit card, and I would be charged half price if I had to cancel within 24 hours. My massage is tomorrow, and I got a voicemail today saying that the massage therapist will not be in tomorrow morning for my massage. They are cancelling on me in that time frame.1.) They should be following their own policy and offering a discount rate for this last minute cancellation. 2.) I am not going to be able to rebook any time soon because this was my day off. I booked it a few weeks ago because this was my one chance. 3.) Why are they just finding out now that no one is in tomorrow (according to my message) and I cant be rebooked with anyone else? I get if someone is sick, but this seems sudden and ill prepared. I will definitely be pass and never reschedule now.

Dont be fooled by negative nancys, this location is worth the time. No frills, convenient, and free parking. The staff offer water and tea and this particular location has a ton really good therapists. The front desk staff is super helpful and will help you find someone if you are particular.

Got a massage gifted to me, and the front desk staff here are SOOOOOO friendly and helpful. My massage therapist really put some muscle into my deep tissue massage and earned a well-deserved generous tip. I hope the corporate model doesnt leave staff working at low wages - they deserve to be paid well for their exceptional efforts.

I had a very disappointing mediocre experience here recently. The place itself and decor looks nice and relaxing. The front desk staff were friendly but the masseuse I had was sub par and not very friendly. The massage I got wasn’t very comfortable nor effective compared to other deep tissue massages that I’ve gotten elsewhere. At certain parts of the massage, the masseuse’s nails were sharp and started scratching my neck. After I brought it up she didn’t say anything and barely adjusted her technique. Their price plan of paying $65 a month for a massage and only $45 for any following massages in that month is a pretty affordable/good deal though!

This specific location has disappointed me on multiple occasions. The first time I came in for my massage I arrived five minutes early and didn’t expect to be seen until my appointment time but I actually ended up sitting in the waiting area for over 40 minutes with absolutely no communication from the front desk. Each time I checked in with the receptionist they told me they would see me soon, and then I would wait another long chunk of time with no explanation. Finally I had a massage but it was rushed. The waiting happened again on my second visit but for a shorter amount of time (~20 mins).After my second visit I was offered a coupon that upgraded any 60 minute massage to a 90 minute one for free. I called to book it and let them know I was planning to use the coupon they gave me. After I came in for the scheduled 90 minute massage, they told me that the coupon does not work and can not be used. It was frustrating because I would not have scheduled this massage to be 90 mins if I knew they wouldn’t accept the coupon. The front desk person offered to speak to the manager about it and give me a call the next day but I never received any contact afterwards.It is unfortunate because I was hoping to get a membership, but the consistent messiness there keeps me from doing so. It would be better if I at least felt that people working there cared about these problems arising, but they do not seem to. The only reason I give two stars is because the message therapists are wonderful and great at what they do. Everyone else does not seem to care and it is upsetting to witness.

I really enjoyed my 2 experiences here. I must say that the experience was relaxing from the moment I set foot into the place, the receptionist and manager were very helpful and friendly. And to the massages themselves: Sophie and Desiree gave me amazing massages; I certainly felt reinvigorated after them. I would highly recommend this place to others.

This location has parking and several very good therapists. The front desk staff are consistently friendly and always professional, and there is a full service salon just off the back. Massage Envy in general is one of the best deals out there for regular massage, and this location combines comfort and class with the great value provided at ME locations across the country.

This location is only worth a visit with the new therapist that i see. Shes from another location and so glad i found her. I have had them all but she is the only professional and her work is beyond expectations! Hands of gold there isnt better, highly recommend. Front desk is unprofessional and the attitudes I wont even comment. I was moved from my therapist and i had said i only wanted her. My husband was told by front desk associate that therapists no longer receive gratuities just front desk. He was confused because the therapist he saw left an envelope by his belongings. Something is not right. My 5 star review is based on the therapists performance.

Awful place. Massage started 15 minutes late with no excuse. I paid for 50 minutes of hands on massage but the massage finally started at 4:20pm and finished at 5:03pm, I got ripped off. They had a clock in the room so I could see myself. I mentioned this to the front desk but by then it was too late. Massage itself was terrible quality and Daphne kept sighing loudly the entire time. Dont bother coming here.

I wish I had discovered this massage envy before. I used to use the one in East Greenwich, RI and then moved to Boston area but after some very disappointing visits at the Dedham and other locations lost hope and accrued a lot of unused massages. Gave the Brookline Massage Envy a try and was very happy. Everyone here is friendly and good. They are thorough and I always end up leaving so relaxed and fresh. They have some excellent therapists. Highly recommend them

I am very happy about my experience at Massage Envy Brookline. When I came in the front desk staff where very professional and really nice, especially Claudia, she was very helpful and patience. I came in for a dual service I got a massage with Sheray and omg that was one of the best massage I ever had and then I got a facial with Helen, she was so adorable and very nice, I had that glow on my face when I was done. Thank you to the whole team, I will be back !

I wish I could give zero stars. Thats how horrible Massage Envy is as a company. Google, Massage Envy lawsuit and see. I signed up for a membership, was told I could put it on hold whenever I wanted, no problem. So when I gave birth, I put it on hold. Then months later I was informed that I needed to pay for the months when my account was on hold (which they dont tell you when you sign up). So I paid and then was locked in to the contract for an additional six months. They assured me I could transfer massages, but they only let you transfer one a month and its also a SCAM because every time the people I transferred to tried to use their massages it didnt work. Then I was told I had a few months after I closed the account to finish using my massages. NOPE. I called one day and was assured I still had four massages, called three days later and was told I didnt. I was also told the GM would call me, that also didnt happen. I cant believe a business is run like this. There are other massage places in the area that often have deals. Go there. Do NOT go here.

The worst part is the front desk didnt care that they didnt book my appointment or try to reschedule. ...

My mother went there on Mothers Day. Daphney was not friendly when she greeted my mother. She looked upset. Then she gave my mother a massage with one hand while texting using the other hand. Im beyond upset she treated my mother this way. My mother is from Bangladesh so her English is limited. My mother was very dissapointed. My mother suffers from arthritis and fibromyalgia so she was really looking forward to this massage on Mothers Day. Im so upset by the way my mother was treated.
