I think you’re in great hands when you speak to someone like Cynthia (customer service) in the phone. Huge thanks to her for compassionate kindness when we were in a state of nervousness about our pets. If you can, ask for Dr Mani or Dr Nanda. I feel they are very warm and caring for all animals.

Was very happy with the treatment I could get for my cat when I was able to bring him in, but getting an appointment here is damn near impossible within a reasonable amount of time making the clinic near useless for time sensitive issues. Even though I was a returning customer, I couldn’t get my other cat who’s suffering from an ear infection scheduled to be seen in less than 3 1/2 weeks because he was a “new client”… this system completely destroys the purpose of going if your pet is feeling sick, and are forced to go to the emergency services.

Don’t join Care Club for your puppy. It doesn’t worth the money AT ALL! First, a lot of insurances also cover spay fee. Second, insurances cover 70% or 90% of the entire expenses, while Care Club only cover visiting fee which doesn’t help a lot since medicine and testing fee are much higher than visiting fee. Thirdly, care club doesn’t provide any priority for your pet’s emergency situation. My dog had a serious problem recently but was not as serious as car accident. And I was not able to book an appointment within 3 days. They asked me to go visit emergency group. Then why I need care club? Didn’t see any value in this club at all.

Great veterinarian care, but still very strict covid policy, clients still have to wait outside / in their car and talk to the staff on the phone. We cannot come in to be present for the exam /pay with the machine. Have to give credit cart number on the phone, which is not optimal when you are on the sidewalk in front of the other customers.

For some absurd reason, this vet office is still doing COVID-19 curbside service, which is absolutely unacceptable for a vet considering most dogs are anxious at the vet with their owner, let alone without. Well low and behold, I was told my dog was too wriggly and they couldnt get a blood draw. Not entirely sure how its acceptable to have internal policies that prevent you from doing your actual job, but this vet figured it out. Have no idea what actually occurred in the office, all I know is that my dog was in there for an hour and came out without ever getting a blood test. Do yourself a favor and go to a vet that follows the science and doesnt leave you in the dark

New country, new vet - when I read that I wouldn’t be able to come with my kitties inside (which is probably the case for any or at least most pet hospitals at the moment), I wasn’t too excited about the visit at VCA Brookline Animal Hospital. Of course I know we are still in the middle of a pandemic. But still to give my girls to strangers?? The friendly young man who picked up my girls Lola and Fini gave me a good feeling and at the latest when I was able to speak to Dr. Feldman in person, all my doubts were gone. By the way, of course my kitties didn’t care too much, they were absolutely relaxed when I got them back and also later at home.Thank you Dr. Feldman for this pleasant experience and the professional treatment of my cats. Not to forget to mention the friendly contact over the phone to get an appointment which was possible relatively short notice.

We went to this place and just got scammed. We scheduled an appointment and clearly only asked for one $59 vaccine to be done on our first visit for a healthy young kitten. This facility decided to up-sell things you do not need. I’m a physician myself and understand the concept of things that need to be done and things that could be done for a “best possible benefit” and clearly are optional, they took advantage of my teenage daughter who brought her small cat for the first time to the vets office to be pushed into idea that she need another 4 things to be done otherwise kitten would get sick. Before deciding on this place read all reviews and sort the one with 1-2 stars and make your own decision.

We had a horrible experience at this facility today. We were instructed to drop off our cat at 7:15 for a procedure. We were also told to pull into the parking lot for drop off. The front desk staff (all visible through the front windows) were beyond rude as we tried to contact them to get someone to check in the cat. She finally entered the building at 8:15. By that time, the car was totally blocked in. We again waited on hold for 20 minutes. No one ever answered the phone. We were forced to leave the car in the lot in order to make it to another appointment. Throughout the day, no one ever called to say the cat was ready for pick up. When I contacted them, they said she had been ready for hours. When I arrived, I waited another 30 minutes until I could get my car out of the lot I was told to park in at 7:15. One of the vets yelled at me for parking there. When my cat finally arrived home at 4:30 pm, she acted like she hadnt had anything to eat or drink all day. I never spoke to anyone who cared for her - she was dropped in the parking lot in her cat carrier by one of the techs - so its impossible to say. We will never, ever utilize this facility again

I told them 3 times I need to go back to work, can I drop him here if it will take long. They said no u can’t . U should wait till doctor calls your name. Well I couldn’t wait any more, as I was late to my work already. They told me if I don’t wanna wait they can reschedule the date and contact me. But unfortunately they didn’t reschedule and contact me again. To day I called them to order food. The lady on the phone told me total will be 98$ . But when I looked to my account I notice they charged me 148$. I called them to ask the reason they told me it is for missing appointment. I said you guys are unprofessional. First of all I didn’t missed my appointment i was there at that time and waited for 47 minutes, but Charly wasn’t seen and they told me they will reschedule it. Second if you trying to get money out of my card, you should let me know before you making any transaction. I trust them with my card numbers, but they betrayed my trust , by charging me for the appointment never happened and they didn’t even let me know about it till I notice it on my account. What they told me my bill is total 98$ but they charged me 148$. And they refuse to refund me.1- when u trying to charge to customer you should give them notice about it.2- you can’t say your total is 98$ but charge 148$ . This is stilling money from customer!3- I was buying minimum 98$ food every single month from this place for last 3 years . It is minimum 1200$ per year. You guys lost me as a customer forever, I will never go back to this facility again!4- people who works at this place they are extremely rood they don’t even know basic manners how to talk with customers .

Accommodating and friendly, except for the doc himself (Groper). Was charged an extra $30 because?? He thought my cats claws were too long? Why was he checking for that? My cat is very docile and passive, I doubt he scratched the doc (I was not allowed in the facility due to current restrictions) and if he did I feel like I would’ve/should’ve been informed of that. Seems like a way to just add unnecessary surcharges when I went in for an eye exam on my cat.Regardless, because I was unable to be present in the exam room, I can’t say much about anything else. The vets are all amazing here. So personable, proactive, and caring. The front desk staff is not. I continue to go here for the quality of care my dog receives but Ive re-though it several times because of poor experiences with the receptionists and techs. Several of them need a lesson in basic customer service. I was once accused of trying to get heartworm medication for free when I had paid in advance and it was noted in my account. Ive also observed a reception screaming at someone on the phone. Sometimes I leave there feeling grateful and something I leave never wanting to return. An unfortunate mixed bag.

VCA Brookline is a business that is greedy, operates in bad faith, and does not take responsibility for its actions. As evidence, the following is my experience with them that caused me to leave their services and go to another vet (its long but I think its worth including all of these details):I was looking to buy medication for my dog, and I decided to see if there were any online pharmacies that would offer said medication for a cheaper price than VCA was offering. I asked VCA for a prescription and VCA did not give me one. Instead, they offered to price match the medication I saw on the online pharmacy I had chosen. Seeing an opportunity to support my local veterinarian, I accepted and sent over the link with the price I wished VCA to match. After waiting a couple of days, I asked VCA for the price matched medication, but to my surprise, VCA had not looked at the link I had sent to them, and by the time they got back to me, the price on the medication had increased 10%. They offered to price match at the current price instead of the price I had originally sent them. This was clearly business done in bad faith, so I resolved to pick up a prescription from VCA and purchase my medication somewhere where I would not be encouraging this kind of behavior. Unfortunately, I work full time in a different part of town, and so I sent my father in to pick up my prescription for me. I had explained the situation to him and he resolved to just pick up the prescription and leave. However, when my father tried to pick up the prescription, the staff at VCA declined to give him the prescription and instead tried to convince him to buy medication from them at their price. Frustrated, he kept insisting on just receiving the prescription and then leaving. As the VCA staffers continued to push their own medication on my father and my father got more frustrated, the VCA staff ended up threatning to call the police after some back and forth. My father (an older, out of shape, 5 foot 8 man), fully aware that he was acting in a manner not warranting such action, called the VCA staffs bluff and told them he was fine with them calling the police. In response, the VCA staff pretended to offer to resolve the situation with my father outside the front of the building, but when he stepped outside to talk to them, they locked the door behind him.Certainly there are different accounts of this story, but these are the main points that are fairly indisputable:1. The VCA staff practiced business in bad faith by refusing to provide a prescription upon request and then subsequently pushing me to buy medication from them.2. The VCA staff acted unprofessionally by threatening to call the police on my father. Normally, this would be a subjective point, but the fact that they did not ever act on this threat is proof in itself that the VCA staff did not feel ever feel threatened by my father. Instead, they simply did not want to deal with the situation any longer.3. VCA management did not offer an apology to my father for the incident involving the threat to call the police or their shady attempts at selling us their medication (instead of giving us the prescription that we had asked for time and time again). Instead, they merely said it was a misunderstanding that was meant to protect my pets health. It is worth nothing that VCA did not mention my pets health at any point throughout this whole process until after I spoke with the manager.Youll notice that on a few other negative reviews for VCA Brookline, the business has responded and asked the reviewer to email the manager. I actually did speak with the manager on the phone but after sending a follow up voice message and email (which Ive tried to attach), I never heard back. Given VCAs disgraceful behavior, this was not surprising.

They charged me $56.00 for a wellness exam that my dog had 4 weeks earlier and the exam consisted of recording my dogs weight and checking her heart beat! $56.00!!! The doctor (will remain nameless) offered to drain some fluid from my dogs ear explaining it would lesson the discomfort. She said it would be quick... 2 minutes, its just a simple needle. She made it sound as if it was no big deal and she was doing it for the benefit of my dog. She at no time made me aware of what the cost was or that she was going to charge me. Well that simple little needle cost me another $42.00!! Needless to say, Im looking elsewhere for a new vet.

Unfortunately, the vet we met with our first time, Dr. Feldman wasnt available (which makes sense, because I totally messed up), but the front desk staff was able to find an available vet (Jillian I-Forget-Her-Last-Name, sorry!) who was able to see us within fifteen minutes!Everyone was so helpful and made sure that my pup got the proper care, made sure that all of my questions were answered, and were able to accommodate our needs! Thank you so, so much!!

Great centralized enough place for most routine and specialist pet care. Efficient practice with enough staff available to help streamline your visit. Really appreciated Dr. Feldmans advice and care of my pets. She is knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful and overall wonderful with owners and their extended pet family. Make a list, bring it in and discuss your pets issue no matter how innane you may consider it in that moment. You are your pets voice. Its nice having a practice that listens. Parking is at very limited adjacent building parking site or few metered spots in front of or across street on Brookline Avenue.

The doctor keeps promoting the cat food to us (a commercial cat food). She trashed all the other brands which makes us very uncomfortable. We already transferred our kitten to another animal hospital.

I dont like this business. They only try to rip you off, you have to be very careful. However, I go there because I trust Dr. Lori Feldman, and I think she is a good vet.

Id give them zero stars if I could. they claim to know how to handle animal international transportation - but truth is they dont. now my cat will have to be quarantined. so disappointed.Update: in the end, the vet tried everything she could to help, including offering to drive up to Albany to get the documents on time. Our flight was delayed so we got them on time.So they did try to fix the mistake. I hope it wont happen again.

Once we moved into the area we needed a new vet. Based on a recommendation we tried the VCA Brookline office. We were paired with Dr. Feldman. She has been wonderful! Our dog has had some possible liver issues and she has been extremely proactive in helping to make sure he has had the tests needed to see what what was going on and how to deal with it in the future. She always listens to our concerns and addresses them. Our dog my never be happy to be here but we are since we know he is in good hands. We have also used the boarding service a few times. Being located on the 2nd floor of the vets office we know that in the rare case if something were to happen there is someone around who can take care of him. We have seen some of the other vets in the office for emergency visits and have had the same great experiences with them as we have with Dr. Feldman. We have been recommending VCA Brookline since we’ve been here and will continue to do so.

I have been here three times. I cant remember the names of the vets but the first two times were fine. I just took my dog there today, a last minute appointment for a cough she had and i told them over the phone she had an accident in my house that was a little runny so i was concerned. When i got there the front desk lady assumed i was there for diarrhea. Althought the doctor suggested i buy her a bland food from their office to help with this i politely declined and thought id see how the antibiotics for the cough do for her and go from there. The lady at the front desk rudely threatened to tell the doctor i didnt want the food i said ok knowing i didnt need to buy it. I feel as though its hard to trust someone with your pets health especially a business. The lady who cashed me out was very abrupt and rude and i felt judged for not giving her their food. She also informed me that she may not have enough change when i paid cash but she ended up having the change. I didnt like my last experience there and i probably wont go back based on that experience alone. I try to do the best for my dog and i research a lot and i do love to be informed and learn knowledge from vets but i do not like to be made uncomfortable for not listening to suggestions by them.
