Took my 5 month old puppy to get groomed for the 1st time - I was very nervous so I called ahead twice, asking a lot of annoying questions. The receptionist was patient and nice! When I met Hailey (the groomer), I was very nervous and long-winded about what I did/didn’t want, and all of my concerns. She was so friendly, flexible, accommodating... made me feel so much more comfortable. She even called me half way through just to check in and tell me he was doing great, because she knew I was worried about him being stressed/unhappy during the process. He came out clean, neatly groomed, and brushed- everything you could want from a grooming session. His nails are nicely filed, and I’m so impressed at how neatly and precisely she shaped the fur on his paws and face, as he doesn’t really stay still. And even better than how he looked, he came out so happy and comfortable in her arms! He was licking her and jumping up on her as we were saying bye. He clearly had a fun experience. And for all of that, the price for a puppy groom was so cheap!!! I would definitely recommend Beantown Bed and Biscuit, and Hailey. I’ll definitely be going back.

We love taking our dog to beantown! His back legs are very bad and he has a hard time on stairs. They offered to take him down on their elevator, which was much appreciated! Their prices are good compared to the other places in the area.

Just a shout out to how much I love Beantown, Bed & Biscuit. My dog absolutely loves going there for daycare. I have found all the staff to be super supportive and wonderful dog loving people. They go above and beyond. Recently my dog had surgery and was wearing a cone, so couldnt come into daycare on his regular day. Beantown sent someone over to walk him for a few days until he was cleared for daycare again. I have been going to Beantown pretty much since they opened. Another time, they bailed me out at the last minute, when I had to be overnight at the ER with a sick child (hubby was traveling) and they were very helpful with a last minute walking request. I wish people who write negative reviews would first talk with Beantown before writing a review and give this great business a chance to make it right. And often times, much better that just alright. They are really first rate. Happy to always give 5 stars..

What I appreciate most about the staff at Beantown is that they care enough to had proactively called me one day when our dog wasnt behaving like herself at daycare. It was above and beyond taking good care of her and the other dogs or keeping them entertained. They watched out for her well-being and proactively called on several occasions. It was above and beyond.Beantown is filled with dog people, and my favorite part of dropping our pup off is seeing her run in, tail wagging, to spend the day with them. She only gets that excited about seeing people when its Beantown staff or her family. Its a wonderful thing. If theres ever the infrequent incident, the staff is wonderful about making sure the dogs are taken care of and safe by separating them responsibly if they need. Ive found their care to be responsible and kind.I see there are a handful of negative reviews. All I can say is that I havent experienced anything like this and couldnt imagine this with the staff Ive met. Im sure theyre upset by a bad experience and voicing the concerns, but our experience has been all we can ask for.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. My dog had been going for years, since he was a puppy. He has always been excited to go but when I go pick him up he’s dehydrated and anxious. When I went to pick him up today I discovered why....they have been putting him in a crate in a room on his own for hours at a time because the other dogs hump him and my pup gets “anxious”. They made it clear this was regular practice for them and have NEVER mentioned it to me, called me, asked my permission, etc. My dog Henry has separation anxiety and diabetes and has spent zero time in a crate anywhere else in his life. I am appalled that they would do this and when I confronted them they hardly batted an eye. They made no effort to right their wrong. Do not trust them. They take your money and lie to you. They say my dog has been at puppy playtime when in actuality he has been locked up for hours because of no fault of his own. If I could sue them for all the hundreds of dollars they’ve stolen from me I would. YOUR DOG DESERVES BETTER THAN ADAM AND HIS TEAM AT BED AND BISCUIT. Stay away.

I have taken my dog to daycare and overnight boarding here a few times, most recently a part of my dog’s ear was bitten off. The owner did nothing to rectify the situation, in fact, the aggressive dog is still a client. I hope this information helps you keep your dog safe.

Been coming here for 2.5 years with our little pug Molly Moo. This place is awesome and very likely among the best doggie daycare places in the city. They take great care of the pups and all of the employees truly LOVE working with animals. The employees are always in a great mood, have super attitudes and do their very best to make sure the pups are exceptionally well cared for. Of particular note is the fact that they always keep the daycare play area at a very comfortable 70 degrees during the hot summer months, when dogs have a difficult time sweating, or perspiring, due to their fury coats. Whereas humans perspire through the pores in their skin, our furry friends perspire, or sweat through their mouths by panting heavily. Tiana is the manager and she is always willing to help, and to answer any questions that you may have regarding boarding, daycare operations, grooming appointments, walking schedules and COVID-19 concerns. Tiana is always cheerful, friendly and works hard to ensure that your pups experience at Beantown Bed and Biscuit is the best it can possibly be. Michael, Ashley, Ryan and Sophia all do a fabulous job caring for your pup at all times and they are extra careful and attentive in all aspects of their job functions. Nicole is about the best dog groomer in town and she always makes sure our little pug, Molly Moo looks AKC Competition Ready, smelling squeaky fresh and clean after each appointment. Keep up the fantastic work Beantown Bed and Biscuit! You guys rock! Oh, P.S. Tiana: Thank you soooooooo much for removing that ridiculous 10 dollar walking fee that Adam used to charge for afternoon walks for the pups that were in daycare. Much appreciated!

I write this review because I don’t want anyone to have the same experience I had today. My husband called to see if they could Board our dog this weekend. They said he’d have to come in today by 4 to be evaluated. I called three times before I loaded our enormous dog into the car to ensure I had everything needed for the evaluation. They never answered nor did they return the phone call. It got so late I loaded him up and drove through traffic to get him there in time. I waited over 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. It was like no one worked there. They said that because I hadn’t called ahead they weren’t sure they could still do it. I informed them I had called multiple times and no one answered. Of course their excuse was that they were so busy. Then they told me my dogs vaccinations had expired in June. I took him to the vet in July to ensure he was caught up and I was assured he was. Also, he was boarded in Annapolis, MD in August (after his vaccinations had supposedly expired) at a very nice boarding facility and they checked his records and said he was fine. Nonetheless after the 1.5 hour ordeal, I was told there was no possible way for him to be boarded. The staff were rude and condescending. I view this as place as an extremely poorly managed and subpar facility. We won’t be back, even after I take my dog to another vet to double check his vaccination records next week.

They say that they dont discriminate against any breeds. My dog is extremely playful and sweet, but because he is a Pitbull they denied providing him with daycare services. Misleading advertisement policy in place.

I’ve been bringing my dog here for a year. I also tried 2 other places and felt like the grooming here was better quality, even though it was the highest price. I really enjoy their work. The issue lies within their technology and responsiveness. Their website is always faulting and missing appointments. More than a few times have I booked an appointment through their website, and last minute they would cancel the appointment or do not see it in their system. In about 2 instances, I had to call the day of to confirm the appointment because I didn’t receive a confirmation the day before and they say they never booked him on the slot, but online on my end the booking is shown. They offer no remorse or no flexibility and try to rebook you for two or 3 weeks out. Disappointing that I will have to find a more reliable service when they’re groomers for such a good job.

We take our dog here for daycare every so often and just recently boarded her overnight. Our dog seemed very comfortable there and the staff is so friendly! While we were boarding her there I had scheduled an appointment for her to be micro-chipped. Dr. Amy called me to make sure the procedure was necessary (it wasn’t) since she thought our dog might be traumatized by it (she’s a little skittish) and essentially talked me out of it, putting our dog first over her business, which I really appreciated!

My dogs had been to there from eight month and two and half years old. We have used grooming for twice, daycare at least once a week, and boarding for four times. Every time my dog would drag me into there, happily rushed in the door, and left with a happy face. Even though we have moved out of the area, we still miss the service here.Every staff at this place knows my dog’s name. They will call him as soon as he appeared at the front desk. My dog absolutely enjoy staying there.

This place is hit or miss. I brought my dog there, I want him to get trim but instead they shaved him without calling or nothing. I even called them 3hrs advance before my dog’s apt and say I want him to be trim. When I got home, I saw my dog is all shaved which was very disappointed and I was so sure he did not have any matted hair.

I needed to find a vet for my newly adopted dog and went online to see reviews of different area vets. Bed and Biscuit Beantown veterinary clinic had the best reviews and for good reason! I am beyond happy that I chose to come here and have Dr. Amy Straut care for my sweet Emma. She was so caring and compassionate and you can tell and feel her love for animals. She made me feel so comfortable with any questions I had and made Emma comfortable, too. The Vet Tech, Andrea, was just as sweet and caring. Overall, it was a great atmosphere, great staff and is affordable. I will be happy when Emma needs to return to see them! You wont be sorry you chose Bed and Biscuit at Beantown :)

Disappointed. My husband use to take our dogs to this place for more than 5 years since he moved to Boston. He didnt trust in another vet or place to leave our dogs. Unfortunately one of our dogs had a fight with another dog out of bed and biscuit and we called them asking them to send the folders with the vaccines to the vet of the other dog. Today we called to bed and biscuit to board our dogs and they said that they wont board our dogs anymore because of the fight. We felt betrayed and disappointed because they are supposed to know our dogs. They didnt even tell us anything when we called asking for the folders. They waited until we needed them again. It is so sad to realize that weve been trusting our dogs to a place where they actually didnt love and care about them as we thought.

When I pay the high fees and jump through the hoops of the behavior evaluation so that my dog can be in a safe environment, I expect them to uphold their end of the commitment. There is an aggressive dog that is a return customer that they refuse to deny entrance for.

It was my first time taking my dog here to get her groomed. I called before for pricing before making an appt. I was told it would be about $65 and included teeth brushing and trimming of the nails. The place was hard to find and when I walked in to the place it smelt horrible. I filled in paper work they needed and a groomer came out and ask me how I wanted my dog to be cut and she asked me if I wanted this and that but never told me that it would be extra when I thought it was all included. It was my first time there and she just bombarded me with questions and didnt advise me of the extra pricing. Why wouldnt they just clip her nail for free instead of grinding it and charging me an extra $15 for it.When I picked her up she didnt smell like she was just out of the groomers. Im dissatisfied with the service they provided and when checking out, I paid almost $90 to get her groomed. It is the worst experience ever and will not be going back. I read some of the reviews and said it was affordable, definitely not affordable at all. I go to another groomer in Brookline and they only charge $65 for grooming and includes bath, teething brushing, and clipping of the nails. Why would I go somewhere else that almost cost me double. Not a great place to go!!!! Its the worst!!! If I didnt have to pick a star I wouldnt even give them one star.

I made an appointment on March 24th for an April 7th grooming. The person on the phone who set up my appointment made an online profile for my dog and said we were good to go. He gave me multiple times for appointments on Sunday and I picked 2pm. I don’t live in Brookline and had to Uber to the appointment which I was fine doing since it’s hard to find a groomer open on a Sunday. I got to Beantown Bed & Biscuit for my appointment and was told “that’s weird we don’t have grooming on Sunday.” They had no recollection of my appointment or my dog on file. They took down my contact information and sent me on my way. It’s extremely unprofessional for something like this to happen. You should advertise on your website that you don’t groom Sunday. And you should follow-up with customers so this doesn’t happen again. I’m extremely angry and upset by this. This was a complete waste of time and I will never use their services again.

My dog has gone here since she was exactly six months old. The drop-in daycare is a godsend for my dog to get all her wiggles out. Dr. Straut is also my dogs vet and she and her staff have provided consistent, loving care to my dog. Even though I dont live in Brookline anymore, I still come back to Dr. Straut (and drop my dog off if I am doing a longer shop at Trader Joes.) The staff and owner are loving and caring and I know my dog will be in good hands. I trust them implicitly. Its a little gem!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Amy Straut, she is an incredible vet, and a wonderful person. Our dog had severe (and really icky) gastrointestinal issues, Dr. Straut diagnosed and put her on a special diet which has completely addressed the situation. Our dog was slowly declining, but thanks to Dr. Straut she is herself again. Frankly, I wish Dr. Straut had become a doctor for humans, she is so thorough, communicative, has a sense of humor and is highly skilled and knowledgable. The staff at Beantown are fully supportive and very reliable. I recommend Dr. Straut and her team without reservation.
