I am so grateful I found Brookline Dental Specialist, especially Dr. Katrina Torres and Maria! I had to find a new dentist after moving away from my dentist of 27 years. Both Dr. Torres and Maria made me feel so comfortable as they did a cleaning, took x-rays, and filled cavities. Dr. Torres took the time to explain everything as she did it and made sure everything came out looking and feeling perfect. I highly recommend you see Dr. Torres!

I brought my daughter to her first dentist appointment, and I have to say the staff was absolutely amazing. She was very shy at first but the dentist continued speaking to her, Showing her all the tools he would be using and asking her questions and she became comfortable. I was very happy with the services provided, my expectations we’re definitely exceeded. I would highly recommend this location!

Our family loves this practice! Ive been going to them for the past 5 years and I cant recommend them enough. My two kids really love going to the dentist and even my youngest, who has a hard time going to the doctor, loves his dentist! They have caring professionals that really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, respected and part of the family.

Today I visited to re-establish a dental office for regular cleaning/checks. Jocelyn was so kind and mindful in her care and cleaning. Dr. Fattahi, even though I only met him briefly, seems equally so. Im looking forward to continuing my care with them.

I had orthodontic work done at Brookline Dental Specialists. Dr. Ghavamian and her team are really nice and friendly. They were able to get my teeth straightened out and give me a great smile in a very short period of time. The clinic offers periodontic/teeth cleaning work during weekends and so as a working professional, it was very convenient for me. Overall, it is a great place to get your dental work done.

Really really wish I could leave positive review. One of the assistants was exceptionally kind to me. However, thats where the positive review ends unfortunately.I went to them 2 years ago when an old filling on my front tooth fell out, leaving it chipped. The dentist urged me to get crowns instead of fillings. Me, not knowing exactly what that meant, decided to go with the experts advice on the matter since he scared me into believing a crown was the only way to go that would last. He said that chipped tooth would definitely be covered by insurance, and that we would need to add a crown to the other one to match. He said that one would also likely be covered but no promises.Well when I came in to pay I learned NEITHER had been covered, leaving me with an unexpected bill in the thousands.Well okay, I thought, at least I did the RIGHT thing. Welp I was wrong about that too. Its been ~2 years since I got the crowns and I havent been able to smile in a single picture.Other dentists Ive seen have even mentioned the poor work that was done and how it should have been done using fillings. Now the two front teeth cave inward and are too narrow, causing the upper jaw to collapse and my smile to look wonky and misaligned.Seriously wish I could go back in time and chosen a different dentist. I honestly hate writing anything negative about anyone and this is my first and hopefully only negative review Ill have to write but I figured it was important to warn people. Please see someone else, someone who cares more about you than your money.Btw he also tried to convince me to get implants instead of crowns/fillings on other teeth. And again all other opinions from dentists say thats insane, as my teeth are perfectly healthy and Im in my early 20s still (and these dentists are in LA btw, who tend to care more about $$ than pretty much anywhere else).

They said that I couldn’t enter the appointment with my son and I waited 3 months for this appointment. They said their policy is that only 5 year olds and below can have their parents with them. A 6 year old has to go alone with a doctor that can do whatever they want with them. Go to Tufts university of dental medicine if you really want good and professional care at a cheap cost.

Brookline Dental Specialists has been my dental office for about 3 years now. The admin, dental assistants, and dentists are professional, kind, and do fantastic work. I recently had fillings on my front teeth to prevent wear and improve aesthetics. Dr. Kyle Vining did this work and the finished product looks and feels fantastic. I greatly appreciate the skilled work of Dr. Vining and the team at Brookline Dental Specialists!

I found Brookline Dental Specialists recently and booked a cleaning with Dr. Katrina Torres. She was very friendly and seems highly knowledgeable about dentistry. The hygienist was unavailable that morning so Dr. Torres performed the exam and cleaning herself. She was very gentle and thorough. The office was clean and surprisingly large! If you have kids, some of the rooms I walked past were set up specifically for them with kid friendly colors and chairs. Really cute. Would highly recommend.

I can’t thank Dr G. and the rest of the Brookline Dental staff for the work that they’ve done. I was always hesitant to go through ortho because of the complexity of the work that I needed done and the nightmare stories I’ve heard about how long it takes for results. I realized now that those stories were simply told because those people hadn’t gone to Dr G.If you’re looking for an honest, professional, straight to the point and quite honestly a miracle worker, Dr G and her team is who you want to see. From the first time I visited the office I never felt like I was misinformed or worried about whatever needed to be done. And there was a lot to be done! I always knew I needed a lot of work and a lot of movement and shifting needed to take place, but after looking at the before and after pictures I realized just how much of a miracle worker Dr G actually is. From explaining pricing, to setting realistic expectations, I always felt i was in good hands.My follow ups did not feel like follow ups instead it felt like catch ups with friends. So thankful to Dr G., Nancy, Monica and the entire front desk staff. I had somewhat of a dental emergency on a holiday weekend and was unable to reach my normal dentist. I contacted Brookline dental specialists and they were able to see me same day on very short notice and resolve my issue. I had a great experience with the office staff and dentist Kyle Vining!

4 wisdom teeth extracted, all the staff were amazingly kind and considerate. It was a long complex surgery, but I felt like I was well taken care of. Dr Justin Cifuni was fantastic, he even called 2hrs later to check up on me and how I was doing. Above and beyond what I would have expected.Thank you

I am so thankful for Brookline Dental Specialist. I had a front tooth filling done at a different dentist’s office. They had done a very bad job and failed to fix it correctly. At that point I decided to call Brookline Dental Specialist. They gave me an appointment the next day and they did such a great job that it literally brought me to tears. The doctor was so professional and friendly. He fixed my tooth in a matter of minutes and it looks awesome. I am so thankful to him and his staff. They did such a great job that I have decided to change insurances just to be in network and make them my new dentist office. I definitely recommend them!

I saw Dr. Katrina Torres twice this week (!) for a cleaning and for fillings. She was smart, professional and thorough and answered all of my questions. Scheduling is a breeze and the front desk staff are excellent. Had two different quite excellent dental hygienists. Easy parking and clean and up to date facilities. Truly a well run office and am looking forward to having Dr. Torres as my new dentist!

I have been going to Brookline Dental Specialists for several years. They are a great group and I recommend them highly. They seem very up to date with modern equipment. They explain in a clear way what your dental problem is and give options for treatment. They are also very nice and personable.

The dental assistants and doctors did a great job with my cleaning and filling. There were some complications with billing, mainly due to miscommunication, but the team was able to keep in contact and make sure that everything was solved. Overall: great quality service, kind staff, and honest work.

First visit to Brookline Dental, I was impressed by how fast and efficient the staff is here. The office is very welcoming and clean, they give honest advice to get the most out of your dental visit. Sarah in particular went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable during my visit and to ensure my teeth were deep cleaned leaving no sign of plaque left on my teeth. I will definitely be returning and requesting Sarah as my hygienist!

Great service! This was my first time at the clinic, and I just called in. I was met with great service, both over the phone and in person. The paperwork went fast, and both the dentist and the people at the clinic were nice and welcoming. I can definitely recommend! Sad to say very disappointing. My initial and last visit at this dental office. I had an appointment for cleaning with Sara. I went early to fill out forms. My appointment was at 10:30 am. I waited patiently until 10:55 am, when I finally inquired about the delay. The receptionist was gone for some time to inquire, before someone came to the door, said nothing, and then the receptionist told me Sara was ready for me. I was told that (Sara) the hygienist was finishing up with her client. No one came out of the office to let me know of the delay until I inquired. Nor did any client that supposedly Sara was working on.This experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. If this is the way to greet new clients at their first visit, I wonder whats to come? Needless to say, I left without having my teeth cleaned.

Good dental practice. Cleanings are done well and any issues are dealt with adequately. In general, personnel is very kind and attentive. I would recommend. Im thankful for their membership club, which allows me to have proper cleanings every 3 months, which otherwise I wouldnt have been able to afford.Plus is that they have their own parking

My daughters and I have been going to Brookline Dental Specialists for 5 years or so. The dentists are all excellent, and so are the hygienists and other staff. They are conveniently located near the Coolidge Corner T stop. The Saturday appointments are very helpful to my family. I would highly recommend for a family dentist.

I had the most awesome experience at the dentist. Sarah the purple haired hygienist made my Tuesday morning hangover go away with an unfiltered personality that had me giggling the whole time. Can’t wait to go back. I only waited two minutes during a busy week and was seated quickly. Sima and other front desk staff were helpful in booking a future appointment. Dr. G, the owner is super professional. I had no cavities, so that was a win.

I am new to the area and was due for a cleaning, so I chose to go to Brookline Dental Specialists and Im so glad I did! They were professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable. I also have some dentist-related anxiety, and they were so accommodating and understanding; my hygienist (Joanne) walked me through everything she was doing and repeatedly checked in with me. I have my next appointment already booked with them.

Everyone here is friendly, efficient & very thorough. The dentist never pressures you into unnecessary interventions & involves you in the care plan and health of you teeth. The office & clinical space is so clean, modern and up to date with current technology and dental products. The hygienists are all very good, knowledgeable and you can tell care about oral health and the service they are providing. I would highly recommend this practice.

The hygienists are super friendly and knowledgeable, full of good advice. I have been going for a year now and Im happy with all of the work they have done. They may be a little eager to drill but they have done a great job. The reception team is diligent; following up regarding insurance coverage and confirming appointments. Clean/Comfortable facilities and equipment, and parking is such a bonus. Overall, I would highly recommend!

Dr. Mariam Ghavamian is wonderful and knew immediately how to help me. She is professional, friendly, prompt & very knowledgeable. I was overdue for a dental exam and just received an ad in the mail about Brookline Dental Specialists. They were able to schedule an appointment for me for the next day. Everyone I spoke with on the phone and in person during my visit was friendly. Joanne did an awesome, thorough job cleaning my teeth (and retainer!) and making the experience as comfortable as going to the dentist can be. Im happy to have finally found a dentist that cares.

Ive always had a positive experience at Brookline Dental. They are great about scheduling appointments, and even proactively let me know about cancellations in case I want to come in earlier. The hygienists are all very friendly and professional, and my dentist always comes in and sees me right away at the end of my visit. It is also nice to find an office in the city with parking in a good neighborhood.

Today I brought my nephew, Markel (8), in for his 6mo cleaning. Katrina was our hygienist. She was amazing. She is very patient and caring. She taught not only Markel, but also me about proper brushing with an electric toothbrush AND how to floss properly (including the importance of using multiple cleaning picks Dr. Z. Was very kind and friendly as well. She was attentive and made sure everything was perfect before leaving us with a final goodbye! .They were really great and look forward to seeing them again.

I discovered Brookline Dental Specialists after moving to Boston and being several years without a dentist. Turned out I needed a fair amount of work. Dr. Kyle Vining was terrific. I especially appreciated the fact that he took his time during the appointment to make sure I understood what was happening at every stage and why he was making the recommendations he did. The detail chairs at Brookline Dental have a monitor and they show you what theyre seeing on the x-rays, explain how problems develop, what areas to look out for, and what the options are for treatment. Ive now been in for multiple visits including cleanings with Joanne, and a crown - installed by Dr. Vining. I found both of the to be gentle, patient, and informative. The front office staff was also helpful in letting me know in advance about copays and explaining what insurance did and didnt cover. Highly recommend Brookline Dental Specialists.

Great atmosphere with professional staff!

Poor patient service. Routine dental appointments are very difficult to schedule (and this did not even involve scheduling for my individual dentist... I did not even realize and was not notfied but the original dentist I joined the practice for to was no longer practicing there). The receptionists were extremely rude, I have been very flexible in re-scheduling appointments that I have to wait months for and there doesnt seem to be any patient service on the other end for routine service you expect from a dental office. There are many great dentists in the area, so I would recommend looking to other offices for great care.

Everyone is very kind and capable at this practice, and the facilities are lovely. Highly recommend.

Great Service and Amazing Work....I would recommend BDS to all my friends/family

These guys do a fantastic job for cleaning teeth but their administrative team is really really bad, borderline crooks!!At three occasions, I asked them to check for insurance coverage prior to making a procedure, three times, they told me it would be covered and the three times I ended up having to pay for the service. Whatever they tell you on the chair is just BS, youll pay for everything after.The last time I went there, and Im never going back, my insurance had expired. I gave them the new insurance card and they failed to get reimbursed for the care. They never made any effort to get things working nor did they do anything but sending me bills by the mail. Happens that they did not write the good number for my insurance but they were not intelligent enough to call the insurance company and get the right one. They kept on sending bills; they actually never called me!!!!!Yet again, I ended up paying for everything although I was covered.Never going back there, which is pretty sad because their dentists and hygienist were good!

Upside:This is a decent dental space. The waiting room and bathrooms are clean. The decor is good and the ambient noise is bearable.The dental hygenist are the backbone of this place. They are friendly and engaged. They also are collaborative and bilingual.The specialists are open to discuss at varying levels. I saw three. Two of whom I really liked and wanted to ask more specific questions to which they were receptive. One even did a little online research with me about a cleaning product to help prevent caries.Downside:It is challenging for some people to humble themselves as these two specialists did. The third specialist I saw was pompous and self proclaimed expert on all matters dental. First, his approach was impersonal and overbearing. He wore his dental mask and lenses while he introduced himself to me.He then provided some supremely casual or plebian advice about cavity prevention nutrition. He made one claim that milk was basic and to drink after meals. Not only is milk not basic, but depending on the type could actually FORM cavities.He also seemed dismissive about my health regime touting that vegetable smoothies are acidic (regardless of duration and content) and that my tooth situation was beyond repair -- supremely morbid delivery. He kept pushing for procedural remediation which is common but off puttingDoctors sometime prescribe or recommend with no understanding of how much things cost. I feel they can barely care since they make more than the people they serve or assume if you come for a visit you can pay absorbent prices for meds & procs that are negotiated between practices and payors. This process occurs with little regard for the patients ability to pay -- despite the severity of any said condition.Perhaps more costs should be offset administratively to the payor so that the costs to patients for common procedures such as root canals are not prohibitive. This could improve rentention.Tip:Stop presenting a mountain of papers to patients for treatment plan as loose paper. Put the paper in binders and present them neatly with patient records and price breakdowns. If your company has done its due deligence, patients will stay if pricing is competitive.For transient patients, provided they can prove they are not in-state residents, you should offer pricing using capitation rather than fee-for-service -- that way services can be provided at premium pricing for a block of patients who are not locals or do not have in-state medical records or insurance coverage.
