Today I was discharged from the center. I cant say enough of the quality of my care. From nursing to therapy to food service everything was top notch. And yes the biscuits were good.

Entered care there from recommendation from nurse at Hospital. Was there for 8 hours in room with no contact for any care. They use a “runner” to answer the buzzer and never ask what you need. All I wanted was 3 pillows for my broken are and leg. Worker in hallway did not know after 30 days on job where they were!! Amazing!! No food offered no follow up of intake….I decided I had entered the Zombie Zone!!Walked on broken leg to the Zombies at the Front desk and checked myself out after 8 hours of NOCARE!!!! Went back to the Hospital and thenTo PAM Rehab and received great care..Remember you are in charge of your Health Care Choices… you can leave anytime.Do not use this Rehab Center… Understaffed,Untrained, ….Beware!!!Dr Judye Rasmussen

My Mom is out of there now. So now an honest review. This facility is three years old, state of art facility. Recommended by a social worker at St Francis. 5 star rating with Medicare. That may have been pre-covid. Please do not send your loved one there.

HORRIBLE! Nurse Sara neglected my mother by feeding her too early (my mother has a feeding tube and weighs only 53lbs so can only eat at set times) and then didnt take her to the bathroom (she cant walk) for hours! My mother cant press the button in their remote so the 1st day I brought her in, on this last Friday, they said theyd give her a gel button instead. Yesterday I found out they had lied. My mother tried to get out of bed at night to go to the bathroom since she cant press the button and the nurse refused to take her, fell, busted her head open on the floor, and the night nurse Courtney and the day nurse Sara both left my mom in bloodied clothes and left the blood on her head! My mothers on Hospice and they DID NOT CONTACT Hospice even though they are legally required to! When I got there and saw that, I paged for the nurse. No response. Went to the desk, nobody there and another patient was trying to get help also. Went downstairs to the front desk, they said theyd call the nurses and get them to my mother. It took around 30 minutes before I saw a nurse. Saras excuse for not cleaning up my mother was that she had other patients and was overwhelmed. I do not care how overwhelmed you are, you dont leave a patient covered in blood in that state. Youre supposed to clean them and make sure theyre okay. Youre a nurse! Nurse Sara walked out of my mothers room away from me when I was asking her questions about the situation twice. Thankfully nurse Whitney, who wasnt even one of my moms nurses, and nurse Jasmine, were there and cleaned her up and changed her clothes after she had sat in dried blood for over 16 hours. While nurse Whitney was cleaning my moms wound, she notice it was still bleeding and a decent sized gash. Said it might require stitches. The nurse from the night she fell had said the same thing, but nobody took her to get stitches? Nobody did anything at all to help her. The administrator whos name started with an L just so happened to be visiting yesterday, and all he had done was moved Sara to a different floor. She needs to be fired for neglect and Courtney too! I didnt have the chance to meet Courtney, but she is just as much at fault as Sara is for leaving my mother in that state. I dont care if youre only supposed to be supervising the patients, when you clean the floor but not the patient, youre in the wrong line of work. Nurses are supposed to care about people. Thats their job. And if they cant do that, why do they have a job? I think the administrator was very in the wrong to just move her to a different floor so Sara can just neglect a different patient. Encouraging bad practices is what gets you shut down. Worst part is, if I hadnt randomly shown up, my mother would still be covered in dried blood and not being taken to the bathroom. Ill be taking this to the county and do whatever I can to see that someone gets in trouble for neglect and abuse.

Wow, our mother loves this place. Every staff member is very kind and helpful. They are all professionals in their field and work very hard. They create a wholesome and caring atmosphere. The facility is kept clean and wherever we look, the staff is working! My mother feels very safe and secure at Aspen Health and Rehab. Different staff come into her room to check on her, and always ask how shes doing. She loves the food there, especially their homemade biscuits. She said the food is always fresh and homemade - never brought in from another kitchen. Since Covid has become less of a concern, my wife and I (and other family members) are able to visit my mom often and we have never been disappointed in how shes been taken care of, or how the facility is run. When weve called with questions, the staff has always returned our calls quickly and answered our questions thoroughly. The activities for the residents are fun. We know, we know... it is a nursing home, but my mother said it doesnt feel like one, but more like the assisted living she once lived in. No bad smells, very delicious food, and compassionate care, with activities for those who can and who care to join in. She loves that her room (and btw all other rooms) have their own bathroom/shower and she doesnt have to share a shower with other residents. When checking it out before she moved in, we called almost daily with another question... Every time we called to learn more about the facility, we couldnt believe what all they offered... it seemed too good to be true... but now we know for sure it is true. We couldnt be happier... and neither could my mom. God bless you and thank you, AH&R... we are a grateful family!

This place is terrible, my mother in law was there 43 days, fell several times, impossible to get her on the phone, staff hangs up on you. Mother in law wanted out so bad said it was hell there. Because of Covid you can’t visit. I question how good a care people get because you can’t check on your loved one. They told us she was walking 120 feet the woman came out and could barely stand with help..I would never recommend Aspen rehab to anyone! I am angry at the way it all went, she lost lots of weight as well. I give them a F

My 85 y/o mom broke her hip April 6, 2020 in Florida during covid pandemic. Post two surgeries she resided in long hospital visits and multiple rehabs and skilled nursing homes which were all terrible and could never meet the needs of a loving daughter, until we moved to Broken Arrow Oklahoma where my mom now resides at Aspen Health and Rehab. The facility is beautiful, rooms are updated and more importantly the staff is total wow! A night and day world of a difference from what we previously experienced! Believe me I’m like a family watchdog! Tracy my moms nurse rolled out the red carpet for her and goes above and beyond to make her smile, the receptionists all answer their phone calls diligently and forward your call to a “live” person and not a voicemail! This is “all day every day” that every person works diligently aiming to please the family. If you aren’t pleased and writing bad reviews, then by all means send your parent to a place we’ve been in Florida and you’ll see a world of a neglect and difference and most likely appreciate this facility and staff so much more! Vicky our social worker loving and caring, Tracy our nurse and all the aids who help my mom have been extraordinary above and beyond.

Aspen is a really nice facility but the staff are really rude. I’m a newly licensed CNA but I have years of prior experience in home health care as an HTS, so doing the skills wasn’t the issue, it was being properly trained by the staff in which they failed to do. Seems as though all of the Aides already had rumors about each other and myself floating around the facility, they used inappropriate language in front of residents. Some of the Aides really didn’t show in their work ethic that they genuinely cared for the well-being of the residents. I was immediately counted out due to other people’s preconceived notions of me, in which my actual work ethic contradicted. None of that mattered because they still fired me based on what others had to say about me.

I have been an RN for 13 years and worked at one of the largest hospitals in Tulsa. I have high standards on both how care should be given and the importance of having a clean facility. Our families experience:I first learned of Aspen Health & Rehab after a 91 year old family member went there for skilled nursing. He did very well there, gave high reviews of his care, and was able to return home. I visited him many times and was thrilled to see such high standards in the facility. Not long after, I was looking for a place for my mom to live. My mom had a massive stroke in 2012 leaving her paralyzed on the majority of her right side. The facility is beautiful, always clean, and they decorate it very nice for the holidays. Everyone is very professional. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. The food is great. The medical care my mom receives is fantastic. They have great communication and update me as needed. The management offers great leadership and does a fantastic job overall. My mom has lived there for a little over 3 months and so happy to be there.

I have worked here since they opened and can honestly say it is a privilege to work here. It is their main concern to make sure the residents are taken care of to the best of their ability. I would recommend this place to everyone, even my own family.

Just think it should be known that a member of staff here doesn’t see a problem with decorating their home with these type of items. I sure hope Aspen Health and Rehab doesn’t think this is acceptable.
