First visit. I met Dr. Roberts for the first time. Ive never met a dentist who was so detailed in explaining my personal dental situation. He made me so comfortable and has such a pleasant demeanor. I found a dentist with a great staff! Dr. Roberts really cares and will be someone I can trust. Thank you!

I have found my new dentist being Dr Edward Roberts of Gentle Dental in Brockton, MA 🦷 he was so kind, courteous and very patient. I have been to multiple dentists in the past and I have always felt rushed in and out with no empathy, then leaving with feelings of shame after hearing lectures on my consuming too much sugar and to stop smoking cigarettes…. These are two things that I already know obviously.So, I have avoided dentist appointments for the majority of my life (I’m age 45) and my teeth are a mess because of it, but I recently was forced to schedule an appointment due to some cavities.I have high anxiety issues to begin with and a dentist appointment will definitely make it a lot worse, but I decided to try out Gentle Dental (Brockton location on Belmont Street) since they had positive reviews and specialized in being ‘gentle’ and I am so happy that I did! I knew I was gonna be pleased with them after my first appointment last week (being x-rays and a consultation) and the hospitable service I experienced- Dr Roberts took his time to explain exactly the various steps to the procedure and asked if I had any questions or concerns beforehand. The only disappointing factor was that my best dental insurance plan was with MassHealth Insurance and it was not accepted by Gentle Dental. Luckily I have a secondary dental coverage plan with my employer that I could utilize… but the coverage plan is a bare minimum so I was left with deciding to either go somewhere else and get everything covered for free with MassHealth or go back to Gentle Dental and pay $325 out of pocket for the co- insurance… So after some prayers in asking Jesus what I should do …. I realized that this dental office impressed me and that I just had a ‘good feeling’ about the staff and the atmosphere among the patients in the waiting area. So, I decided to pay the $325 and I’m definitely glad I did!But still, I waited till after my second appointment with the actual procedure before writing up my review. Well, I actually just got home after having my second appointment with them today resulting in 3 teeth being pulled- ouch!!!But it actually didn’t hurt much at all since Dr Roberts took extra steps to make me feel at ease and completely relaxed about what to expect. He took his time to explain exactly the various steps to the procedure and asked if I had any questions or concerns beforehand. Then, in addition to that- during the procedure he also informed me of each step that he was about to make, the expected discomfort I may feel and continuously checked in with me verbally on anxiety/pain level in incriminates of about every 10 minutes or so to ensure I was doing ok and as comfortable as I could be.The procedure was done so smoothly (physically and mentally) that I couldn’t quite believe that it was over so quickly! He even had to stitch up my gums and it was the most joyful dentist appointment I have ever had to endure! Even though I had to pay a hefty out of pocket co-insurance payment, it was worth it to me for the procedure to have gone so seamlessly and now I’m going back in 2 weeks for follow up and a discussion for steps in improving my smile. I have always hated my smile since my teeth have been in such bad shape for most of my life.Overall, Dr Edward Roberts III and his staff are exceptional in every manner possible!! Thank you for all your patience and dedication!!

The best place, no matter the urgency. They always make you feel welcome and don’t make you feel judged like every other dentist office. They lay out the cost before leading you into any work so you’re not surprised come payment time. Also, they work with you, making a plan of work that needs to be done along with cosmetic repairs, that help you feel better as a person. Highly recommend this office to anyone and everyone. This location has the best customer service from the receptionist (Molly, the absolute best) all the way up to the dentist. They understand the dentist is an overall uncomfortable experience, and they go above and beyond to make sure the customer is at ease. They got me smiling again, and I can’t thank them enough.

Very disappointed, Ive have been here before and got some dental work done but this time I scheduled 2 online appointments and no call back, and left 2 voicemails and still no call back. I thought I can count on them because I have an emergency. One of the calls I made outside of their building, lights were on and I saw people in and out also saw a receptionist at the desk and my call went straight to voicemail. I had to call to make appointments somewhere else. Upsetting as it is I wish i knew the reason for this terrible customer service.

I’ve been going here for a few years now and I can say it’s one of the best medical offices I’ve been to. All of the staff is super nice. I was first amazed by how friendly the woman at the front desk was! It genuinely seems like a great work environment and the employees are happy going their job. It also flows really well. For all my cleanings and a minor procedure I’ve been in and out, no bs! I recommend General Dental to everyone!

Went in for a Root Canal, took about 25 mins. I didnt feel any pain whatsoever. Dr.Roberts is brilliant and you can tell he likes what he does. Thats good feeling when someone is drilling into your tooth.

Dr. Garibyan and Carlos were the best duo for my wisdom teeth removal. The procedure was painless due to the numbing and quick without being rushed. I felt no pain during the procedure and even days after have not felt any soreness, thanks to the medication (OTC)! If you want a smooth and seamless wisdom extraction or any dental procedure I would highly recommend the Brockton Gentle Dental. The staff are all amazing and it feels like your at home!

Edit: I broke my ankle on Xmas eve and while confined to the couch I managed to break a molar. I got myself into the office and they were so accommodating...they helped me elevate my leg while they worked on me and made sure I could afford the procedure needed (a crown). I came in a bundle of nerves and left feeling so much better...A++++++++ Dr. Roberts and Co are amazing!!! Special shout-out to Milord!I originally came to this Gentle Dental location after my dentist at the time was not open to helping me make a payment plan so I could afford to pay for a root canal OR take Masshealth. This location will work with you on a payment plan and they are genuinely nice people who will go the extra mile to dig up your new insurance coverage (that was difficult to find due to an address issue). Dr. Roberts is the real star here though. Patient, gentle!! and kind. I am so happy to be a patient here!

I am thankful for Dr. Roberts not only for his professional skills but for his kind arrangement for the dental work I was receiving five years ago.I moved out of Massachusetts immediately after the work was completed. But I still remember Dr. Roberts and his team from time to time. If I ever moved back to the area, I would definitely choose to go to Dr. Roberts for my dental care.

Bare with me.. This is a lengthy one (but worth it): I walked in to see Dr. Roberts about a week ago, in severe pain due to my impacted wisdom teeth. He assured me Dr. Garibyan (oral surgeon) would be able to help. Dr. Roberts is a very caring and knowledgeable Dentist, so I scheduled an appointment. Today, shakily, I walked into Gentle Dental and was soon greeted warmly by Dr. Garibyan and his assistant, Carlos. I was absolutely terrified. Being a 30 year old woman, there are risks with this procedure. They were so reassuring, supportive, and gentle. Each step of the way, I was encouraged and asked if I was okay. They made this procedure essentially painless, and before I knew it... It was over! I have never had a major surgery before, but I am SO glad my first experience was with these two gentleman. I almost cried thanking them both for getting me through it, but practically inaudible from the gauze in my mouth.. So again, I have to say thank you both so much for your amazing customer service, skill, and genuine care you provided me with today. My wisdom teeth have been an ailment in my life for over 5 years, which you eliminated for me today. 100% recommended to all!!

I have had excellent experiences here with cleanings and a recent crown. All of the staff are kind, friendly, and give a lot of their time and attention to patients. They answer any questions I have and they are so kind even though I sometimes make several calls (lol... sorry about that). They are also taking COVID-19 very seriously, which makes me feel safer.

I initially came to Gentle Dental because of their flexible hours including Saturdays, and having poor experiences with smaller, private, rude, and overly priced dental offices. I knew going in “you get what you pay for”, however this is not the case with the Brockton location on Belmont. This location is very clean and the front staff are kind and efficient; there is hardly ever a wait. I have had the dental assistant Latoya twice now and she is lovely. She’s incredibly kind, personable, knowledgeable, and does an overall great cleaning. Thank you!

What a complete waste of time! I was scheduled for an 11:00 am appointment, but 45 minutes later I was still waiting to be seen. No one had the decency to tell me that the doctor was running late. Mind you, the office was not even busy. I am extremely disappointed in their customer service.

This is beyond disrespectful. At first I thought that perhaps my name was changed for privacy reasons, but I looked at other posted reviews on the Gentle Dental website only to find that they didn’t change anyone else’s name. The change is also too extreme for it to be a typo as I originally suspected. I don’t understand, is my name deemed as too complicated that it had to be changed? In my first review I said that they truly care about their clients, call me dramatic, but altering a client’s name doesn’t show as caring. When I mentioned it to someone they even referred to it as plagiarism. I’m now demanding that my review get taken down on the website all together. This situation doesn’t sit well with me at all.(Original Review): Such great service, skilled, friendly, and compassionate staff! They truly care about their clients and it shows. I went recently and they are taking several precautions for everyones safety due to COVID-19. None of these precautions were a hassle and I was happy they were taken. Thats about the 5th cavity they say I had since Ive been going to this place. Dr. Roberts is a good dentist but Im really starting to wonder about all these so called cavities. This is the first time a dental practice has taken the time to fully explain to you in detail about what is going on in your mouth! Mariana is the hygienist who did my cleaning and I was blown away! BEST cleaning Ive had. She took her time and removed all of my staining, and left my teeth squeaky clean! :) Dr. Roberts knows his stuff. He found a small cavity and showed me where the cavity was and explained the procedure on how to fill it; hes the nicest dentist, so down to earth. The girls up front are all so nice and welcoming. Every time Im almost done I went to this general dental for almost three years trying to get four implants placed I planned to have more done by this time but it didnt work out that way because the doctor kept changing surgeons. The first surgeon only put two in even though I asked her to put four. She said she decided that I only needed twoEven though I had just lost my teeth a couple years before and had ample bone to place anywhere because the third surgeon replaced those two and put them further forward which is less bone. And you always have more bone in the back because Dr Roberts had a second surgeon put two more implants in the back that were full size but they failed immediately which they would not do anything about the first two months even though I kept complaining and then promptly blamed on me not using a water pick even though I used everything else that you could use to clean your mouth. Neither the dentist nor the surgeon would do anything to fix what was going on They just kept making me wait and the surgeon said its not his problem anymore because he was in an argument with the dentist at the time so I couldnt even see him at the Brockton location.I took it upon myself to go to a completely different location that had nothing to do with Brockton but it was still a gentle dental because they would not give me my money back so I figured okay well they can just transfer it which they were going to do until Dr Roberts made me come back to him but then wouldnt see me for the things I needed to be seen for.I would call the office and they would say Dr Roberts will call you back and he would never call me back Ive got two calls from him in the last year when theyve told me that at least 50 times. Its like Im sorry I had issues with my mouth that I wanted seen. There was no reason to punish me and not redo my dentures after I had a completely different bottom mouth due to having to get the implants redone.My new dentist says those are the cheapest implants that you could possibly get. Theres few brands that have as little adaptability for prosthetics as these implants and I had planned to get permanent prosthetics everybody knew that.My new dentist has now tried three different types of prosthetics but the lab will not okay it because The implants wont hold up. Also because they had to move the implants further forward. I cant have as many teeth. Plus the implants are half the size in the back as they were supposed to be. Nothing was done right here its not a great idea to get implants here if I were you. Dr Roberts is a great dentist in all other ways but hes working with parts that are cheap and associates that dont do good work. I wasted $12,000 there theyre giving me $4,000 back because I cant use the dentures that I have. I really much rather would have Dr Roberts finished this but he couldnt even make up his mind whether he wanted to do a permanent denture which he couldnt obviously because hes never done one before on a mouth like this at least and he just wanted to keep waiting for no reason to start a regular over denture.He could have allowed me to go to another gentle dental but he would not allow me to when I talked to multiple general dentals and people had done what I was asking before. Why should I be tied to him just because he referred me to a surgeon He never actually did anything besides put on dentures which I cant use anymore So how does he have anything to do with the last implants Because I havent been able to use those dentures since I got those implants put in. But I still had to sign a waiver anyway signing all my rights away of my mouth so that they dont have any liability so that I could get the $4,000 and start paying the loan I needed to take out to get the bridge that I cant even get done now because its impossible on these implants. I have to get a cheaper type of bridge thats not quite as good or possibly just a regular over denture which is never what I planned to have in the long run. Dr Roberts new all of this We were buddies and then he broke bad

I highly recommend Gentle Dental of Brockton. My experience here was unbelievable. I went in with a really bad toothache. Dr. Robert did such a great job. He explained things very thoroughly. The front desk explain my financial obligations very clear. The office was very neat and organize. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home. Im pain free thanks to them!!

I have never been a big fan of the dentist, but I always try to go from time to time. Dr. Roberts was highly recommended and he definitely lived up to the expectations. He was very easy to talk to. However, going to see Dr. Roberts is more than just a dental visit. It’s actually meeting a team that cares about you and your dental health. The hygienist was very sweet and thorough with my cleaning, might I add no pain. There aren’t enough words to say how great Dr. Roberts is. He took the time to make me feel comfortable and went over my dental needs in detail. He answered all my questions and never once made me feel like he was in a rush or I was wasting his time. He is the kindest and most gentle Dentist I know. He is passionate about what he does. Dr. Roberts always makes you feel like family; goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable and will makes sure you leave with a smile! If you are looking for a Dentist who truly cares about the care he provides to his patients then please look no further than Dr. Roberts. Trust me, you will not regret it!

I made an emergency call for the first time , because I had wisdom tooth that needed extractions and they now started to hurt really bad . I went in the same day I called. I got there and was assisted right away , I told Dr Robert the discomfort I was having and he answered all my questions. The best part was that I was able to get my wisdom tooth out which was such a relief for me and Dr. Robert was amazing walking me through this experience he was really detailed, informed me on what to expect and really took care of my issue . I had a great experience and the staff were real friendly. Great first time customer experience .

I received a warm welcome from Dr. Roberts and his team. I found parking easily, liked the Boston-based artwork in office, and filled out my form in the comfortable lobby. My visit started out with my x-rays and then I had my teeth cleaned. After the cleaning and flossing, I received a full report on the health of my teeth (no cavities) and set up a follow up appointment, all while sitting in the dental chair! Very unique experience and one that I will recommend to all of my family and friends.

I have never had a better dentist than Dr. Roberts, and Im not sure there is one. Most of the time bedside manner and technical expertise seem to exist in an inversely proportional relationship in medical professionals, but Dr. Roberts has both in spades; he works to help you feel comfortable and at ease, and then his dental work -- even root canals -- is relatively painless too and hell work with you if you do experience pain or discomfort to find a way to minimize it for you.Oh, and I cant forget the hygienists and office staff. Everyone at this office is friendly and pleasant; they all seem to genuinely enjoy working here and helping people, and will work with you to get treatment and financial plans that work for you.I originally started with Dr. Roberts at the Attleboro location (which is half an hour closer for me), but he relocated to Brockton -- and I immediately followed him here. The extra drive is totally worth it!

Such a wonderful place makes you feel right at home

I have been a loyal patient to Gentle Dental for 13 years and I must say out of all the offices I have visited, the Brockton office has been by far the best! I had a cleaning scheduled with Mariana Diaz- I highly recommend her! I have had cleanings with several hygienists but none were as informative, recommending and engaged as she was. Aside from my cleaning, the women in the lobby were very attentive and greeted me as soon as I walked in. It’s a good feeling when you are acknowledged the moment you walk into an office! Dr. Roberts has a great staff and I applaud their efforts in maintaining customer satisfaction!

Gentle dente in Brockton has gone above and beyond for my girlfriend. They immediately were trying to save her money with dental plans and insurance. All dental procedures she needed were laid out and explained thoroughly. Dr.guerra and Marcella have been outstanding in this process going above and beyond in patient care.

My schedule is super difficult to make an appointment with, so they all offered to come in early! They helped me coral my 2 year old through X-rays and the exam. Easy 5 stars!

Best people ever. From the first visit, I knew I had picked the right office. Girls in the front are awesome! Hygienist straight up did everything while being understanding and kind. She even came in to check with me and help with some sensitivity I was having on a different day just because she knew I was there and she wanted to help. Dr. Roberts is a beast. Gets it done with no pain. Explained every step. Made sure ZERO pain. Let me wear earbuds during my procedure so I didn’t have to hear the equipment he was using. Checked on me atleast four or five times during my six weeks, just randomly to make sure I was good. Once procedure was done payment was easy. Very flexible plans. Everyone at this office that I have interacted with make you feel like family. I can now smile with confidence, and it’s because of Dr. Roberts and his team of awesome people.

Absolute WORST dental office!My son had an infection in his tooth, the dentist office NEVER called in his antibiotic prescription. When I called the on call number it was to the dentist and his voicemail was full. I had to wait an entire weekend to be seen by another facility. The lack of patient care is outstanding! God forbid my sons infection went into his bloodstream ... an on call emergency number should NEVER have a mailbox that is full. How is that for lack of care?On top of that, my husband was there for his appointment and a homeless man came in yelling at patients and throwing things at the receptionist and not one male staff member went to her aid, my husband had to remove the man from the building. Again LACK OF CARE for not only their patients but their staff as well.AND once you ask for the release of xrays your insurance pays good money for they charge you $25 fee! They probably have to make up fees to balance out all the money the lose from patients never coming back!!!!DO NOT GO TO THIS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT! I have never had to write a negative review before but in good faith I cannot let another family have to go through this.The only positive? The actual men and women who clean your teeth and do your xrays are very sweet and easy going. The dentists and receptionists can learn a thing or two!

Great service and the Doctor is super good

My name is Marie Wyatt. I am on my granddaughters account. I have been absolutely petrified of dentists for a long time, until I met Dr. Lakkis at Gentle Dental. I had my top teeth pulled by him with local anesthetic, and a new top plate put right in. He, by far, is the best. He made me feel very comfortable, no pain, and very pleasant. I am truly pleased. Thank you Dr. Lakkis, and Nicole, you truly are a great team.

The staff at Gentle Dental of Brockton are very professional. Dr. Roberts is an excellent super nice and professional Doctor. He tries very hard to make you feel comfortable. I had one of the best cleanings with Hygienist Mariana. She explained everything that I needed done very clearly. She was very nice and professional.Although I just found out that theres a Gental Dental closer to my home (in Weymouth) than the Brockton Location, I decided to continue going to Brockton, since Im very happy with the care Im receiving there. I highly recommend this location to anyone whos looking for a new Dentist. Please keep up the good work!

Updated:- ( I was surprised with a patient reimbursement check in my mail. I appreciate getting my money back for a work that was not done right,thanks)....updated to a 2 stars.READ.....This is a 100%honest review. I went here to get my wisdom bottom teeth extracted because they were hurting on & off for months so I decided it’s best to get them remove and move on from the pain. My dentist was absolutely nice, friendly so I trusted him. We meet before the date of extraction for X-rays (consultation).On the day of extraction my dentist was literally in my mouth for about an hour, I can tell he was having a hard time removing my right side wisdom teeth because he was working on that side for a while (I wasn’t asleep just numb in the mouth)..... he broke the tooth off on the right side then move to the left side to broke the top part of the tooth off and leave the root of the both teeth in my mouth. What really pisses me off is that he realize he could not remove the right wisdom teeth WHY go on the left side just to irritate and cause pain on the left side? WHY not leave it alone and suggest me to an oral surgeon. He told me to come back next week (I was there on a Friday)..... come back on Wednesday the following week. So basically I’m suppose to sit in pain for 4-5 days so he can get the proper equipment to remove my wisdom teeth....(he said that the equipment he need to remove the teeth was not at that Gentle dental location but he’ll get it to remove it the following week)...... I Have Never in my LIFE felt so much pain and he only prescribed ibuprofen and tynedol. When my husband come pick me up I was writing trying to explain what’s going on and that the teeth was still in my mouth, he was beyond upset and drive me to an Oral surgeon Catrambone office where they remove the root of the teeth in 20 mins, but that’s after waiting 2 hours until they were finished with their appointments and when I was already in terrible pain because the numbness in my mouth wear off, I was curled up in the waiting room in terrible pain. The dentist at Gentle dental might be a nice guy, might be friendly but I’m not their to make friends the care I receive is absolutely the worst. On Saturday my Face my SWOLLEN, the oral surgeon told me because the doctor was working on my mouth so long that I’m to expect my cheeks to swell, which they did, I look like a dam chipmunk, all day I’m using ice packs on my face to minimize swelling.I can’t believe I paid for an extraction that wasn’t done right and have to pay more money to the oral surgeon. I hate this place.Don’t go to gentle dental for wisdom teeth extraction, the pain is not worth it. It really is not worth it.
