I do not care for this doctor because she violates HIPAA laws with her patients that is a no patients should always come first she only cares about herself not her patients. So if your dealing with legal matters she will make your issues worse. Do not go to this doctor because all the staff will know your personal information. Terrible Rumatologist. She should talk with her patients instead of having her staff tell you stuff. I’m very annoyed. I thought she was good found out she’s not. Please doctor Don’t violate Hippa laws thank you. I didn’t get an apology either.

There are only a few goals a Doctor needs to accomplish to be considered a good Dr.-Show Up/Respond to patient needs-Care about the patient-Treat the patient-Doctor/Patient ConfidentialityDr. Aslam failed miserably at all of these. The goals that Dr. Aslam did accomplish were:-Ignore my calls-Work the bare minimum of a few hours per week (Tuesdays & Thursdays)-Require exhaustive amounts of tests with no treatment-Spread gossip about me to other Doctors.-Waste months of my time and moneyI have a chronic disease that brought me to Dr. Aslam. I waited months to get an appointment with her.Dr. Aslam did not believe that I actually had this disease and proceeded to have me undergo numerous tests to verify that I had the correct diagnosis. Even though I have all of the tell tale signs and was diagnosed by multiple specialists years ago. Needless to say, her tests were inconclusive and some were even not performed correctly which gave me no confidence in her ability as a rheumatologist. She then recommended that I go to Barnes Jewish Hospital to further the diagnosis. Barnes is where I started; they diagnosed me originally when I was 13!Dr. Aslam promised that I would go through the tests and she would put me on some treatment that would help with my condition. I ended up with nothing but empty promises and a whole lot of frustration. She continued to prescribe prednisone to me, which I had been taking off and on for years. She did not monitor my dosage whatsoever. On one occasion I was forced to get a refill from a different Doctor to wean off the prednisone because I could not reach her for a refill. If you are not familiar with prednisone, it is not something you can stop taking abruptly.I have serious outbreaks that are crippling and I have no control over when they occur. One time when I was out of town I had an outbreak. I called the on call number that she provided me and the attendants informed me that she was not on the list at all and could not reach her. After several hours, they were able to obtain her personal number and left a message for her on my behalf. I never got a call back from her and I ended up in the emergency room on vacation 1500 miles away from home.To make matters worse, Dr. Aslam out of nowhere decided to cancel treating me as her patient. She claimed that she “could not reach me”. This is comical because this was exactly my complaint against her. If anything, she should be frustrated by me calling her too much. Just the day prior to her releasing me as a patient, I had called the office twice and left messages for her to call me back. She never did.She gave me no warning or notice, and no time to find a replacement rheumatologist. She didn’t even have the decency to call me herself to release me as her patient, she had one of the office assistants do her job for her. She did however find the time to call my personal Dr. and tell him all of these flat out lies about me. That was embarrassing to confront and I had to re-explain to him what actually happened.Don’t waste your time on Dr. Aslam.
