I was referred to Dr. Penn by my primary dentist because he diagnosed a dental problem I was having as needing a root canal. Upon examination by Dr. Penn, she advised that although a root canal would probably provide temporary relief, the tooths root could be damaged and the tooth would need removal. She offered to refer me to an oral surgeon for a second opinion, and did not charge me for her consultation. This is the sign of a consummate professional, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.I also agree with other reviews that the office staff is any doctors office I have visited. They are extremely friendly and professional.

Cannot express enough thanks to Dr. Penn and her staff! They were able to get me in for my root canal and once there we discovered I actually needed two.I have never had a root canal before and was pretty nervous.They took great care of me and were wonderful. Jada was amazing and reassuring and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The office was clean and enviting with ample parking. PAINLESS!! Seriously! Don’t believe the horror hype about root canal procedures. Just go see Dr Penn!!2020 was gracious enough to also bless me with the need for two root canals, the first in my life. AND I couldn’t get both done at the same time. To say I was nervous would be an understatement. I heard all the horror stories just like everyone else!! I had the most wonderful dental experiences of my life, not joking! On one occasion I was the first procedure of the day and the first one at the office. I was greeted by three staff members of the office who all invited me in and made me feel comfortable. I was even offered coffee or eat by someone who I later learned was Dr. Penn herself. Her assistant Jada was fantastic and walked me through every step of the process. The only part of the procedure was the small pinch of a shot at the very beginning of the procedure. I didn’t feel anything else the entire time! I wish I could see Dr Penn for all my dental needs but she only does root canals.I recommend Dr Penn AND her entire staff to anyone shopping around for a doctor who can do a painless root canal procedure.IT’S POSSIBLE!!

Great Office and Staff! I was very nervous but the staff did a lot to help me relax. Procedures were well explained, I was provided a stress tooth to squeeze and hold during the root canal, a neck pillow, and mouth prop to help my mouth stay open without stressing my muscles. They also placed an x-ray cape on me which felt like a weighted blanket! During the procedure they said I could stop them anytime, but things went smoothly and I didnt feel the need to! Lets face it.. no one wants to be there, but the office staff made me feel like I was the most important person there! They took a situation that I had nightmares about and turned it into something I wont be worried about next time!

The root canal was so painless I almost fell asleep in the chair! Highly recommend going here!

I had the usual annoyance and trepidation that comes along with your first root canal, not to mention the discomfort beforehand, but Dr. Penn and her staff treated me with the utmost courtesy and professionalism at every stage including scheduling calls with Jenn and Donna, handling me at the office, answering questions, the procedure itself, discharge instructions, and follow-up. I figure they also did a great job technically but can’t speak to that since I’m not the dentist. I do know I didn’t feel any pain during the procedure and and they did everything they could to minimize my discomfort during my time in the chair. As a professional, one thing that meant a lot to me was how Dr. Penn treated her staff with courtesy and respect, and how her staff (particularly assistants Taylor and Jenn) were friendly and down to earth. I will unhesitatingly recommend them to friends and family and they will be my first resource should I need this experience again (which I hope I don’t).

I dread root canals...until I was referred to Dr. Dobin! He is amazing, compassionate and highly skilled! Taylor, his dental assistant, is great and Ellen is a real comfort and puts you right at ease while Dr. Dobin numbs you up. Dr. Dobin explains everything clearly, and is always asking if you’re doing okay during the procedure. Tests are performed to make sure you are totally numb so you don’t feel a thing, and before you know it it’s over! I couldn’t believe it, the whole procedure was totally painless! I will not hesitate and again delay getting a root canal as long I am in the hands of Dr. Dobin and his awesome staff!

Can I put six stars?! The girls who work here are so nice. My daughter got an xray done and the woman who helped was so caring. Even when I booked the appointment the girl who answered the phone was so helpful and worked around my schedule (I could tell it wasnt what was best for them that day but they still fit us in). This office is also very high with their technology!

I was referred to Dr. Penn after discovering I needed a root canal ASAP. I was in a lot of pain and her office got me in right away. I was extremely nervous w/ this being my 1st root canal and the thought of anything touching my throbbing tooth. The staff were so incredibly helpful and broke everything cost and procedure wise with me down. Dr. Penn is very nice and did a great job explaining everything she would be doing to my tooth and if I needed her to stop raise my hand. She periodically stopped during the procedure to check on me and give me a break. After it was done she double checked on me and advised me to take the NSAIDS provided to avoid any unwanted pain that day. Her staff checked on me the following day and wanted to know how I was doing. Overall my whole experience was amazing and I could not be happier with the outcome considering I went in such a mess. I highly recommend her and her staff if you want great service and professionalism!!

Today was my second visit to Diablo View Endodontics and I was treated by Dr. Christina Penn, DMD, PC and I have to say that she was very professional and understanding. She has a BIG HEART and obviously enjoys what she does which is helping and treating her patients. I did not experience any discomfort or pain during my appointment. When I needed a break - she had no issue stopping and allowing me to take a break before she proceeded with my treatment. This was my first time receiving treatment from Dr. Penn and would HIGHLY recommend her to you. Her assistant is also GREAT making them both team players! I will apologize in advance that I can’t remember her name but the entire office staff is very friendly and caring. This was my first root canal and I thought I was going to be extremely nervous, but it ended up my easiest, dental, procedure yet. Super comfortable setting with a very welcoming staff that eliminated my dental dread. Hello to any one who might NOT enjoy sitting in the dentist chair. I am LMT (masseuse )and enjoy bring relief to clients and love getting wonderful (FUN) treatments back when I have a chance to trade with another LMT. I dont deal with pain well and have a low tolerance to pain. I choose to laugh and giggle and not sit still. I appreciate when some has a gift of doing their job well and takes pride in being the best they can be. That is what I found at Dr. Penns office. I am also a professional clown and love laughing and making kids and people happy. I found the office staff to be professional but totally fun to be around. Also I work with kids at risk where one needs to be selflessness a lot of the time. Tyler... Dr. Penns assistance gave up her lunch hour to work on me as I came in crying with and in bad , so much pain., That showed how caring the team is. All team members are sweethearts and work together well. Root canals are not fun and I had 2 to do back to back... that was a tuff case. Thank you to all who helped me. I experienced a rather sudden onset of excruciating pain to a tooth aver the course of two days. Luckily I was able to be seen by my dentist rather quickly and he got me in to see Dr. Dobin rather quickly. By the time I arrived at Diablo View Endodontics, it was the worst pain I had ever experienced in my life. Dr. Dobin and his staff got me in and performed an emergency re-root-canal and my suffering was finally over. Very professional, friendly staff and Dr. Dobin was awesome!

Great and friendly place had a tooth ache called at 11:00 and gave me a appt for 1:30 same day got tooth fix and feel alot better I will be referring friends and family.
