I unfortunately had to have my first root canal ever. Under the circumstances I could not be more pleased with my experience. Dr Mckitrick did an amazing job and it was actually painless! Stephanie did a phenomenal job putting my worries at ease along with preparing me for the surgery. If I might add....Nicole at the front desk was extremely helpful when it came to insurance and appointments. I couldnt be more pleased. If you need a specialist look no further! Thank you for the pleasant experience under the no so fun circumstances!

By far the most professional and efficient dental experience I’ve EVER encountered. From them fitting me in very last minute to the moment I walked out the door, nothing but positive things to say. This team is very personable and professional in every aspect. Dr. McKitrick did an outstanding job, didn’t ever think a root canal would be pain free and worry free but she NAILED it. Riley and Stephanie were beyond expectations, they made me feel as if I have been a patient for many years. What an amazing team! I needed an unexpected root canal at 4pm and this amazing team stayed late to relieve my pain. Nicole at the front desk was so kind and explained the billing piece. Riley took extra time to really understand my situation and made me feel comfortable. Stephanie and Dr. McKitrick put me at ease and did a fantastic job relieving my pain. These ladies stayed till 6pm to make sure I was taken care of! Can’t thank them enough for taking care of me!

Wow. Dr. McKitrick and Stephanie were absolutely wonderful. I’m so thankful for them. I’ve seen multiple dentists, and even had another Endodontist cancel my appointment while I was sitting in the lobby. I couldn’t get anyone to help! I had lost almost 15 pounds in the months prior to being seen because the pain I was in was so severe. Not anymore! Dr. McKitrick and Stephanie heard about the agony I was in and scheduled me immediately! Seriously, I was in the office the next morning! They were so kind and careful with me! They listened to my issue and addressed it directly. I went in to the office in the worst pain I have had in my life, and left laughing and joking and hopeful again!They were kind and honest and so helpful! I just keep smiling to myself at how happy and pain free I am!They had great music playing and were so patient with me and my condition!I would put their office up against anyone, and I am walking proof that a visit to a dentist can be a fun and easy experience! No one wants to have a root canal. Prior to my visit, I heard horror stories about the procedure. When I called Apex for a consult, they were able to accommodate me the next day. During the consult, it was quickly determined that a root canal was in order. Dr. McKitrick and her staff were able to begin the procedure immediately alleviating the horrific pain I was in. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience there. From Nicole at the front desk, to Stephanie and Dr. McKitrick who performed the procedure, I was treated respectfully and my procedure was handled efficiently and painlessly. I had a toothache that was bad enough to schedule an emergency appointment with my regular dentist who then quickly ascertained the job at hand would require a specialist (root canal).They recommended Apex Endodontics, and were able to get me in the same day! Dr. McKitrick was phenomenal! I had a root canal procedure performed at the Nashville office. Dr. McKitrick was filling in while the Brentwood office is being remodeled. Heres my experience.Lets start with Stephanie. Im not sure if she was a dental assistant, hygienist or x-ray tech... But she did it all!! Not only is she HILARIOUS, but she made me feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire process. After being completely numb, Dr. McKitrick did her magic seamlessly. I never felt any pain and couldnt be happier with the results!!! Thank you ladies! I would HIGHLY recommend this team.

My son experienced trauma to his two front teeth 6 years ago. He recently experienced severe pain and swelling that required a specialist. His dentist sent him to Apex Endodontics for treatment. Outstanding experience! Dr. McKitrick and Stephanie were great. Dr. McKitrick got me in the afternoon before the July 4th weekend as I was heading out of town and performed the root canal without any issues and relieved all the pain I had been experiencing for a couple months. I had previously had a root canal at another location and was still having pain and Dr. McKitrick was able to isolate the issue with the remaining active nerve/root and perform a complete root canal to eliminate all the pain I was experiencing. Dr. McKitrick is a true professional and cares for her patients. A big thank you to Dr. McKitrick and her team. Any future issues and I will not hesitate contacting Dr. McKitrick for all my Endodontic needs!!

The staff at Apex is awesome. I am a dentall hygienist and had to have a root canal last week. Dr. McKendrick and staff were so impressive. Through my professional lens I give them a big thumbs up. The detail to patient care , comfort, and skill involved with the procedure was just overall excellent!

Tooth pain is never fun but the team at Apex Endodontics Cool Springs made it as painless as possible to get treated! I came in on the recommendation of my dentist because I was experiencing pain after a crown prep. I was able to make a next day appointment, and Stephanie and Riley made me feel welcomed and immediately at ease. Dr. McKitrick gave me clear explanations of what was going on with my mouth, and then they were able to book me the SAME WEEK for a root canal so I could get out of pain. When I arrived for my root canal, my tooth was so inflamed that I couldnt get numb. Dr. McKitrick prescribed me some steroids to ease the inflammation and I came back a week later for a smooth procedure. They were thoughtful, kind, and made me laugh. And to top it off, they sent me home twice with a delicious protein shake :) Thank you, Apex Cool Springs Team—highly recommend!!

Ive had numerous bad experiences with dentists over the last 6 months working on root canals. They really screwed things up very badly. Thankfully, I was referred to Apex who not only treated me like family and gave me a very fair price with a waived fee on consultation due to the horrible prior dentists and thousands of dollars that I had already spent, but they also did a fantastic job. The procedure Dr. McKitrick had to perform was not an easy one and she did a fantastic job. If only I had gone here first.On top of that, I want to give a shoutout to Stephanie, Riley, and Nicole who really went out of their way to make me feel comfortable during a very uncomfortable situation. Everyone was super fantastic and I would recommend this office to anyone and everyone!

I had a previous root canal done and the dentist missed a canal. I came to this clinic with an extremely swollen and painful face, needing the root canal retreated. They got me in the same day I called and told them about how much pain and swelling I had. Even being in so much pain it was the most positive experience I have ever had at the dentist. Stephanie and Dr. Mckitrik took away the anxiety of getting my teeth worked on and talked me through everything. 100% would recommend them.

I wish I could give more stars! My tooth was killing me so bad that I couldnt sleep at night and my dentist wasnt helping me so I googled apex. They were extremely busy as I could hear phones ringing in the background yet they still got me in asap.I spoke with the doctor, she and her asistant layed out a gameplan, talked me through what would take place, and executed flawlessly. I left with absolutely no pain! They called the next day to check on me and I gave them praise. They were godsent and stopped all of my pain to improve my quality of my life.

Where do I even begin.. I have had one root canal previously and the experience wasnt the best. So, I was nervous of getting another one done and at that it was a new place I never been. I had a root canal done Friday by Dr. McKitrick. Stephanie, explained everything that she was doing to get me ready for my root canal. Before Dr. McKitrick started she came in and consulted with me about the images that were taking. (which I loved because I was not informed of any of that at the previous place I went to). Both these ladies are very caring and thoughtful. They both made sure I was comfortable at all times. I did not feel I was a bother if I need my mouth to be suctioned out due to my salvia or just if I need a break for a second. The numbing wears off quick in general for me so I let Dr. McKitrick know that and she was sure to make sure I was numb and didnt feel anything. Both Stephanie and Dr. McKitrick are nice and pleasant and I loved their attitudes! They do not get in a hurry to rush even if the office is about to close! Yes, that is right I drove 2.5 HOURS from Indiana and I will be for sure be going back to get my other root canals. It is honestly worth the 2.5 hours I drive one way...Let me add with the long drive I had and being numb they were kind and asked if I wanted something to drink so of course I love Protein shakes Dr. McKitrick gave me one for the road!! I highly recommend asking for Dr. McKitrick and Stephanie as the assistant. You will not be disappointed. Today, is Monday and the office called to even check on me which was absolutely wonderful because I never had that before. When you find a good one the long drive is worth every penny!!

This is specifically for the WestGate office where Dr. McKitrick is the only doctor there as of 2/24/21. I had an appointment with Dr. McKitrick at 1:45 PM on 2/24 for a root canal. I didnt start getting X-rays done till about 2PM. At 2:50, Dr. McKitrick started to numb me with shots of novocaine. It was taking awhile to numb me because of the inflammation. At 3:25, she gave me 1 more shot and told me if I wasnt numb in 5 minutes, she would have to reschedule because she had an appointment to get her covid vaccine. Needless to say I was not numb enough for her to start work in the 5 minute time frame she gave me. I left her office after almost 2 hours feeling extremely numb without any dental work being done all because she had an appointment for a vaccine. That was extremely unprofessional and rude. I realize how important a covid vaccine is but not at your patients expense. She could have A) rescheduled my appointment or B) mentioned this upfront before we started. Instead, she wasted 2 hours of my time and literally gave me a 5 minute notice that we would have to reschedule. My time is just as important as hers is. Because of this, I cancelled my root canal appointment with her this week and ended up going to the Maryland Farms location with Dr. Crump (who by the way is amazing). On top of that, she was very rough when administering the shots of novocaine. She lost my business because of the way she treated me and I will not recommend her to my family or friends for a root canal. Please go to the Maryland Farms location to see Dr. Crump.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Dr. McKitrick, Stephanie, and Jeremy were all so incredibly kind to me. I was nervous about getting my first-ever root canal, and am so relieved I found this place. Right away, Stephanie made me feel so relaxed and reassured. She and Dr. McKitrick answered all of my questions (which were plentiful) and never once made me feel ridiculous for being nervous. They do offer laughing gas, which made the procedure far more bearable, and the office is nice and impeccably clean. I really cant speak highly enough about the kindness they showed me, their professionalism, the excellent work, and the helpful information offered at every step. Other dental practices would do well to copy how they run this office!

The front desk receptionist is very condescending and extremely rude. After speaking with her I didn’t feel comfortable following through with my appointment “at this location.” I decided to set an appointment at another location of Apex.

However I Won’t return due to wait time and Knowledge of dental ims plans They seem to care less about filing and just wanted money. I came here this morning and got a root canal with Dr. Dyriw after going to another endodontist on Monday and not being able to get the area numb. He was amazing! He administered the shots to numb me and I barely even felt it. He was very gentle and did a good job of letting me know what he was doing through out the procedure. I had asked him to stop twice because I was feeling nauseous (I’m 35 weeks pregnant) and he had no problem letting me sit up until I was ready to continue and was very understanding. I would recommend this place to anyone and recommend going to Dr. Dyriw 100%! Thank you so much I finally feel relieved after two weeks of being in pain!

Wow. Appt scheduled at 7:15 am at their Brentwood location. Perfect timing since I have some FSA money to cover the unexpected that I have to use before year’s end. After limited sleep due to shift work and a late schedule, I arrived to a dark office. Ok, not good. After waiting until 7:30, I finally got the dreaded news that due to their computer glitch, I was not on today’s schedule nor could I be worked in on short notice. Prior to their admitted mistake (shucks, I had an appt card AND my dentist had sent over xrays! There’s the proof) I could have gone elsewhere. I asked for a call back from their manager (at least a courtesy, I would think) to see if the extenuating circumstances could be rectified... no return call. A “sorry” would have been welcome.Fortunately, I was able to somehow be seen by Endodontic Associates PA and had a fantastic experience (if there is such a thing here, HA!).Good luck with this business practice of saying, “Oops! Good luck getting help after our mistake.” Nary a sorry so I just thought I’d let the local peeps know.Sorry for the bad but truthful review. Yes, I know how to say, “Sorry.”

If you do not mind waiting an hour to see the Endondontics then come here! They do not value their patients time. Never again! Choose the Smyrna location!

They were thorough and after a long root canal I have no pain.
