I Love this place ! The whole crew from the stylist to the Receptionist Amanda are great ! They are all so welcoming and lovely. Highly recommend this quaint little place.

Alisa is amazing! It was my first time getting hair color professionally. She made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way. I didn’t really know what to ask for, but she gave her opinion & worked MAGIC. It came out perfect. The whole staff is very warming & there are COVID safe protocols in place. Definitely my new place.

I have been going to Chad Hilburn at Salon 1797 for several years and he is by far the best stylist Ive ever had. I love his salon. Everyone is always super friendly and its a very relaxing environment. He has some really great stylists there so if I cant get in with him, its no big deal. They all do a great job! Highly recommend!!!

Customer service and professionalism are outstanding. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone in the Nashville area. I was at the salon today. As I walked in the door of the salon, Amanda greeted me with her beautiful smile and her sweet demeanor as always. It is always a pleasure to see Amanda before I get my services done with Maleah. Maleah did a wonderful job on my hair. She is a very talented hair stylist and I have recommended numerous friends to her and the salon. I followed Maleah here from a previous salon where the customer service and professionalism were very bad. I greatly appreciate all that this salon has to offer.

I originally wanted blonde, whenever I got there she said she noticed I’ve box dyed my hair before but she’s sure she can turn it blonde. I get in the chair and she said if it pulls up red that I can’t do blonde and I’ll have to do red or pink. She asked if I wanted to do a test strand and I said yes and she ended up doing my whole head and it pulled up red so she asked if I wanted red and I said sure and then whenever she took the foil off she asked if I was ready for hot pink and I was like sure. I left the salon with my hair wet because she had another client. When I got home and dried it, there were several bleached spots that were not pink, whenever I brought up this concern to her she told me to use the leftover dye she gave me to fix it and “sorry about that”. I don’t know a lot but I felt like more options could’ve been discussed, or maybe she could have bleached my hair over a couple sessions to get it to the blonde I wanted. I definitely should’ve expressed my concern more but I felt confident she knew what she was doing. I’m very disappointed, It’s been less than a week and it’s very faded. I spent $150 for what looks like a $6 bottle job and a color I didn’t want. Live and learn but I personally will be going somewhere else.

Alisa did an excellent job on my hair color, highlights and cut! She was such a pleasure to work with.. I have included photos of my before hair (do you remember cousin IT from Adams Family?) and the after pics of my shiny, soft, beautiful hair.... I LOVE IT! Thank you Alisa!!

Originally when I had a service at the salon my stylist was fabulous. Her name is Malia and she’s good however things happen and sometimes we don’t have control over those particular cancellations and I’ve had a few times of having to cancel my appointments. I called yesterday to apologize for my inconvenience I might’ve caused I was speaking to what sounded like a receptionist but it could’ve been a stylist because Stylist certainly do answer phones on occasion. The girl told me that Melia had just walked in the room and she would be happy to take my call.Amanda got on the phone where in turn I asked to speak with Malia as I was told that she was in the room she said that’s not what the girl said she said receptionist. I said no where did she ever even use the word “receptionist” But at this point that’s water under the bridge.I told Amanda that I’d like to find out if another stylist was available to do my color. She then asked for my credit card to hold the reservation which was more than fine unfortunately I was in a situation where I couldn’t take out my credit card at that time as I was driving.She said “ once you call back with your credit card we can proceed from there“ I never had a chance to call her back as I was busy working with so when today came around I received a call from Amanda where she tried to state that I had an appointment with Natalie at 1 o’clock and she said we would hold the appointment for you we were just waiting for a credit card. That is not what happened in our phone call conversation yesterday.This is the second time that Amanda has tried to put words in my mouth. I’m very methodical and I know what I say to people. In my answering machine message I left a message the day before cancellation telling them that if there’s anything I can do on my end due to my cancellation let me know they didn’t let me know so I figured everything was fine.I don’t like how she talks to people. She’s very condescending person it’s probably her personality.In all of my years managing hair salons in Manhattan I would never talk to a client in the manner she has.There are plenty of classes out there for proper etiquette and speaking with people I think she needs to sign up for one of those.As far as the salon is concerned it’s a very nice salon it’s a nice welcoming atmosphere. I recommend the salon and the stylist but not Amanda.

I have had hundreds of foils in my life and the best hair color/foil Ive ever had by far was by ALISA at Salon 1797. She took her time, asked all the right questions to completely understand what I wanted, and was very meticulous. I am extremely pleased with the results and my husband (who is very picky and very honest) also said it was the best hes ever seen on me. Because of the great job she did, along with her charming demeanor, I will definitely be going back to Alisa. I highly recommend her.
