The place was amazing we came in close to closing and they let us stay 7 minutes after. It is definitely the best ulta I’ve been to. Also love all the workers they are so nice!

Specifically regarding an employee named Brandi:I received exceptional customer service and help today while shopping; she approached me and asked if I needed help, which I did, Brandi made product recommendations, looked at pictures and was overall just a really personable and professional person to work with. To be honest, good customer service is hit or miss at Ulta, including the Brentwood location which I like to go to because I live in the city, but today was such a pleasant surprise. I’d much rather give a positive review than complain about the people who don’t want to help. So THANK YOU Brandi for all your help today and please become the service trainer. :D

I made an appointment and got a call from the colorist saying the system made an error and what I wanted was not what I actually chose and the timing may depend. The woman who was supposed to do my hair was named Destynee I believe, she was nice on the phone and I explained what I wanted and etc she told me she would hold off on allowing the system to set up any appointments for the rest of the day. Which I thought was so nice and I told her I had all day and was willing to pay the extra amount.Upon arriving she told me I had too much hair and it would take too long despite just telling me she was basically freeing the rest of her day and also telling me on the phone when I arrived she would do the color while the client she was helping was setting. So I was left confused as to why it was all of a sudden impossible. As someone with textured hair, I can’t help but feel like she saw what my hair looked like and just didn’t want to do it. Please diversify what your stylists are able to do with courses or just in general diversify your stylists because this is not the first time I’ve run into this problem and you can’t imagine how frustrating it is to find a colorists for textured hair.

This store is overwhelming for my nose. I brought my daughter in for hair coloring. I believe you have to have and appointment. Minimal patrons are allowed in the store and everyone is wearing masks. Im really providing this rating based on the feedback of my wife and daughter, who really like this company.

Your lead cashier, J.R. might need a vacation... she is disproportionately angry with the basic requirements of her job and clearly ill equipped to deal with the general public. Honestly - customer service isnt for everyone.

Cristina did my eyebrows so well they look amazing. Plus she was super friendly, and just made it an all around great experience.

Absolutely beautiful location huge selection and a super knowledgeable staff, if youre looking for a new line of makeup or some spicy new ideas I would highly recommend this store

Very friendly . They didnt have what i was looking for but i got other stuff . I got a cerva product and returned because it made me break out . I got something else and payed the difference. The register lady was really nice and said if this new product doesnt work for me i can returned it back . These people are so understanding. Will come back to shop agian.

I asked for 1 inch off and some very very subtle layers and the lady cut 4+ inches and gave me layers as short as a bob. (my hair was a little past my shoulders)

We went in to purchase a facial brush and couldnt find someone to help us. Finally when we were able to get ahold of someone they said that they should be over there somewhere. Never took the time or energy to actually help us find the correct area that they were at. Well we never did find them and ended up leaving. Bad customer service. ☹

This place is makeup Galore, you can find almost any brand of makeup here. The have a salon in the back, with smiling staff all down up. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of perfumes, especially the purse size roll on. I love that they have coffee cups to smell to really get a feel for how the perfume smells. 5 stars!

I usually buy my makeup here at Ulta in Brentwood, but I wish they had more in stock! There may be some things that are out of stock or low in stock, and I cannot find what Im looking for. Overall, it is a good store for all that you need for hair, makeup, nails, brushes, etc.

A pretty good one stop shop for make up and hair. However Ive always form the vibe of snobbery from the employees when Ive needed help with make up. Like if you dont wear 10lbs of make up on your face they dont want to help you.

I walked in the door and a representative greeted me, asked me what I was looking for, walked me directly to where it was located. She inspected the item to make sure everything was there and nothing was damaged and sent me to the purchase counter. It couldnt have been better!!!

It would have been nice of them to greet my husband and I when we walked in, or ask us if we needed help finding anything, or for the cashier to ask us if we found everything that we needed, but none of these basic customer service things happened. They clearly saw that we were searching and having trouble finding an item. Its even more disappointing when you are not from this area and everyones customer service skills are lacking. Managers and everyone need to be retained in basic customer service. Being busy and having to restock the store are not excuses for neglecting the customers that make purchases that ultimately help your store make sales for the day. The sales that turn into your paychecks. This Ulta is a zero in comparison to the five or six Ulta stores that I have visited in Southern California.

Terrible customer service. The associates rather speak to each other about their personal, loudly, on the floor than helping customers. Only the Lancome representative, a nice lady African-american was very helpful and providing service left and right to all customers. Everybody else was standing pretty. It was very hot in the store. I didnt have a good service at all and spent over $300.

Wasnt impressed with the salon. I did make up/hair and it didnt really come out how I expected it to. The stylist made my make up more glam than I initially asked for (which charged me more at check out) and my hair didnt look like the photos I brought in. For the hefty price, I expected more. I wouldnt go back for these services.

Ok so as a make up store this is a 3star place but today I had the pleasure to get a haircut by Alex and shes awesome! ❤❤ she was so understanding about my wishes and she did an amazing haircut .I. Was able to get an appointment last minute and was so impressed with the salon at ulta. Alex will be my hairdresser for a while.

Very unhelpful, no one on the floor, had to wait in line just to ask for assistance, and were VERY low stocked.

It would be great if this location would actually have stock. Love ulta in general, but this location sucks. Always picked over, dirty, and the product they do have has been opened and tested. Staff doesnt know what their shipments will include so no use asking when theyre stocking something you want. Have been continually disappointed and wont return to this location anymore.

Poor customer service. Twice, I had an appointment to get my hair done and both times I came in at the time my appointment was booked for. Both times they made me wait for over 30-45 minutes and once they were finally ready for me they then told me that since my hair was really long that they would not have enough time to do it today. I have 2 kids, both times i had to get a babysiter and was not able to get my hair done. I ended up going elsewhere another day and it took the stylist 1 hour to do my hair?? I also requested for the general manager to contact me and never got a call back. Ill never shop at any Ultas again.

Not impressed with selection or associates knowledge. It took me 2 attempts and associate going to other 2 peers to find out they dont sell Kerastase brand. Really high prices with hair cair products. Overwhelming layout

They even have a brow bar! Tons & tons of product (I can literally can look at everything in this store) the guy cashiering helped sign me up for a free points membership & told me about the birthday discounts & other things I can eventually get with member ship & free catalogs so I can order on line as well.they have samples of EVERYTHING so if your like me & want to put eyeshadows, glitter eyeliner, lipstick etc. on the top of your hand to see if it matches your skin tone & texture of the product you can do that here!Update:a year later Im still loven it...

I had a haircut here, I gave the lady several photo options to choose from out of their own magazines. I was told by the manager that their staff knows how to give layed hair cuts. I saw my hair, the ends were choppy! I could have done this to myself! For some reason, all the people that cut hair here went to the same terrible school to learn because none of them know what a layer is. They think __--- this, which is levels of hair, cut at a different step is not a layer, a layer is chopped at the bottom only, unevenly, because that is about what your layers will come out like, all odd and stupid looking. Like you used a weed wacker instead of a licensed beautician!

Poor customer service. The staff just want to visit among themselves and not help customers, and theyre kind of rude.

I went in with a friend with a 30$ gift card I had gotten for Christmas. When I was there I wanted to buy the tarte shape tape conceler which is 24$ I was going to spend all my money. And they were out of my shade so I had asked a lady if they had anymore in the back she just waved me off and said shell be back in a minute. It took her 20 mins to come back. Mind you I did not move from the place I was when I asked her. And couldnt remember who asked her for help. She had slightly yelled who needed my help when I was right there. So I said me. And she said what do you need. I said I came for the shape tape conceler and they were out of the shade that I needed so I had asked if she had anymore in the back or somewhere else in the store ( mind you they only had like 3 per shade) and she was waking backwards to wave me off again and say no we dont have anymore whats there is there. Come back Friday. And walked away. I know your ina rush but you can take your time with a customer thats asking you one question. Thats only one minute to answer. Idk I wasnt even rude when I had asked her so I have no clue why she couldnt take 2 seconds to answer my question.

It is really a shame. There are some great products here and I have definitely spent more than a few pay checks on said products. There are some genuinely nice staff here too, so it is sad when the managers they hire ruin it for everyone. My mother and I on separate occasions were treated horribly by what I assume was a manager. My mother was publicly humiliated when she was taking too long to shop (because no one bothered to help her) and was stopped by the manager and forced to hand over her purse to be searched in the middle of the store. When nothing un paid was found she was told that they know she had tried to take eye cream and made her leave the store.. this was in front of me and her grandkids. I have NEVER seen such a blatant lack of respect. On prior occasions I have been overcharged and even had them accidentally erase the balance of my gift card when their system went down mid sale. They never did replace that gift card. I will never shop at this place again and advise all my friends and clients to avoid Ulta as well. Its sad because for a while it was easily my favorite store. Now I shop at nearby Sephora. It is in JC Pennys and has a MUCH better staff. They are helpful and they are very knowledgeable about their products.. Plus they dont make ridiculous accusations if you are a slow shopper. Avoid Ulta! Shop Sephora!
