All I can say is that Mrs. Joanne Perry Washington is a wonderful and caring hairdresser. I have known this beautiful woman since I was in my 20s I am now in my 50s. She always went above and beyond and still does to make me feel good about my hair and to be able to correct any problem as she possibly can if there was one which is very rare. She’s an expert at hair loss as well, besides an excellent hairdresser. I’ve always left her shop feeling beautiful. She is highly recommend it. But she’s so much more.

Ive been a customer of Joannes and Hairoots for over 15 years and I can enthusiastically attest that she has saved my life. I went into Joanne’s with major hair loss and an impending wedding, and no hope. Hair has been a problem of mine my whole life, and I was just about to give up, when my hair stylist said, “I know who can help you…” (and ushered me away from another stylist who wanted to put glue on my head!). She worked with Joanne in the past, and assured me that she could help. Joanne took me in the very same day, knowing my urgency. Joanne made me feel at home and helped me discover new avenues for hair growth and replacement. I’ve seen Joanne every two months consistently since, for all of these years and every time I walk out of her shop feeling like a new woman, with new hope! Joanne has taught me how to style my hair properly, and suggested products that keep my scalp clean and clarified. She even has her own products that work wonders and are able to keep even my added hair moisturized! Your hair is your life line to the world. I sublet from JoAnn for over 5 years and she cheated me out of my deposit and a months rent. We had a contract and she broke it, lied to me about returning my deposit and gave me 3 days to move out. She rented a new place the month before she told me to move, took my rent on the first of the next month, after she had a new place, a few days after taking my rent she told me that she was moving and that I had 3 days to get out. The owner of the building did not know of my sublet contract. I discovered after that because I has been there for over 5 years, I had rights to stay. I packed up my business and did what she asked, stupidly expecting her to keep her word! She never intended to!JoAnn told me not to worry because she was giving me my deposit back. When she whispered it to me in the shop, I should have known that she had no intention of giving it back to me. Lejai, pronounced Leway, was not far from us and I thought that she was being descreet about business. Now I know that she didnt want anyone to witness this. We have been to lunch after the move, I loaned her my tent and have been in friendly contact. While renting from her, she has sold me products from Aveeda that were not supposed to be sold to customers and other products that were for Salons only and only told me when the rep was there. so I that I wouldnt say anything. Should have known and Guess she lied to them also! There hasnt been problems with our relationship, except now I know that she cannot be trusted in any way. She looked me in face and lied. Broke the contract and stabbed me in the back. I should have taken her to court!Beware of doing business with her!

They wanted $250 for a consultation ! Really , jusy to walk in they are going to charge me . Not cool. I will look some where else.
