I never write reviews let alone a negative one, but I felt like I wanted to share my experience from this particular pharmacy. The amount of rudeness and disrespect I have received is unfair.To my understanding pharmacists take courses in ethics and are supposed to be non-discriminatinatory to prospective patients. In all my interactions with this pharmacy I have been patient, understanding, and polite. Despite this, I have been profiled and had voices raised towards me on two separate occasions. I was prescribed a controlled substance by my psychiatrist about a year ago for my ADHD. In this time I always have waited for the 30 day mark when I run out of my medication, of which I am given exactly a 30 day supply.I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic and alot of medicine is in back order. I tried filling my prescription on the scheduled day and was told that it wouldnt be in until Thursday (3 business days) and that I should try somewhere else. After trying 5 other pharmacies I was met with the same response. One did offer an alternative, ask my psychiatrist to rewrite the prescription for a lower dose at a higher quantity (same overall dosage per day). They said that Ithe particular milligram that I was prescribed was more common and less likely to be found. I managed to schedule a same day visit and had it rewriten. Unfortunately that same pharmacy did not have that instock either. So I returned to rite aid after all of this and was then yelled at by the pharmacist. He said why would you do that? We already ordered it! You dont know what we have in stock! I apologized for any inconvenience I may have caused and let him know I was in no way trying to make his job more difficult. I asked him if he was able to order the prescription in the milligrams and dosage that I was prescribed. He told me to return Thursday 9/9/21 (3 business days).This morning before work (9/9/21) I returned with hopes that id simply turned away because it hadnt arrived or have my prescription filled. At first the exchange was pleasent and the worker took my prescription slip to check if it was in stock. When she returned she yelled Sir, you were here yesterday! We told 3 business days! I responded in a calm manner I was here on Tuesday and was asked to return today, I apologize for the misunderstanding and took my slip with me.I have worked in customer service for many years, alot of which in housing. Ethically, a provider of a service should not discriminate against a customer. I dont claim that being prescribed a certain medication qualifies me as a protected class. I do think that if I was rude or difficult that may have warranted the negative responses. I always have treated those in any customer service field with he utmost respect and kindness that I myself wish to receive. So please in the future I ask to not be treated like an addict or a disease for trying to fill a prescription I use to function closer to the neurotypical standard we live in.

3/1/21 Follow Pharmacy Nina follow up on my complain and explain all the delay and staff issue. I appreciate her taking extra steps to make sure issue gets resolved and willing to put customer satisfaction as top priority.2/24/21 I took my mom to get vaccinated for corona virus. Our appointed was 2:30PM and we go there 10 minutes early. Check-in and paper work takes about 5 minutes and theres 2 other patient before us. We waited over 1 hr to get to our turn to get shot. The old Indian pharmacist is so slow and inefficient, most importantly he is so rude he didnt even apologize for the delay or anything. DONT come to this pharmacy its a nightmare.

When I lived in Brea I hardly shopped here and avoided it mainly because one particular employee was always so snarky and sarcastic adding unnecessary input when not needed. He made it uncomfortable.(Mid to late 30s Caucasian employee) perhaps Derrick? I didnt care to catch his name just knew i wasnt coming back unless I really had to shop here.

We frequently visit this store since its in our area. They have a friendly staff, clean, organized, well stocked and the pharmacy personnel is awesome. If you are a member of the stores saving program (I cant remember the name) you get a bigger discount on your purchases. Check it out if youre in the area. Its in the Brea Gateway plaza which has everything you need. 2 👍👍!

I usually just go here for the ice cream ($1.99 scoops!), the rest of the store is generally overpriced. Not to mention that the store overall just looks and feels dirty. Especially today. Today, I went in for some ice cream and there was this large poorly dressed man with dirty clothes messing with the register at the ice cream counter. I was concerned until I realised that he was a technician or something. But thats not much better since he was filthy! I couldnt even make out the name on his lanyard with how much dirt was on it!

The pharmacist was so rude. I will never go back to this pharmacy again.

If you enjoy over paying visit this store. They sell a pint of Breyers ice cream for $6.20. The MSRP for this is $5.49 according to a Breyers representative.

I have a foster child who can not function without her monthly prescription because her mother abused drugs and alcohol while pregnant with her. EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY TO HAVE HER PRESCRIPTION FILLED AT MY NEIGHBORHOOD RITE AID PHARMACY, THEY TELL ME THE SAME THING; Our system is down and we cant check availability or We dont have this today, can you come back in a few days? This happens every single month, and I am forced to go to CVS in Fullerton. I will never, ever go to another Rite Aid, and I will tell my family and friends to never go to another Rite Aid again, either.
