Wonderful place where my mother is. Many activity’s to choose from that go on daily. Staff is wonderful and very attentive to our love ones. Visiting doctors and physical therapist attend there daily to see patients. You’ve made the right decision if your love ones are here.

Friendly staff with great heart and service. The place feels warm and inviting and the food is prepared with lots of care.

My father has lived at the Brookdale Brea location for about four years now and I have to say that it is a wonderful community. Three meals a day, 24/7 care and special events and activities are just some of the amenities provided for residents at Brookdale. The staff members that I have met all seem to be extremely caring people who are highly dedicated to what they do and have really helped improve my father’s overall well being. His fear of injuring himself at home had him, as well as his loved ones, really scared for his safety. At Brookdale, we know that he is somewhere he is comfortable and care is always available. The community is very clean and efficiently run by management who, in addition to being very accommodating to my father’s specific needs, worked to make him feel right at home. I would highly recommend moving a parent into this community to anyone considering assisted living as an option for their loved one!

Dear Sarah and Brookdale Staff,Thank you for the outstanding care you extended to my mother during her years at your facility and especially during her final struggle with cancer.You did a great job of keeping COVID out, and isolating other residents when they brought it in from the outside. My family especially appreciates your sensitivity in assisting my Mom in video chatting with relatives, and allowing carefully screened visits so that her daughter, my sister, was able to be with her when she passed.I was very impressed with the staffs helpfulness and attention to detail, which showed genuine caring and love for my Mom. Your cooperation with the hospice workers was exemplary.We were all impressed with the exceptional friendliness, conscientiousness, knowledge and commitment of the staff to the residents. One of the LVNs even came to visit my Mom on her own time when my Mom was in the hospital for a short stay.We found the facility clean and enjoyable and the food tasty.You made her life as enjoyable as possible and greatly eased our minds. Should I need assisted services I hope Brookdale Brea will be available to help me. Thank you!

I’ve worked for this company for 6 month, and will not be returning. I have never seen a place so poorly cleaned, and such horrible management. Sarah Devore and Barbara Tyler are horrible administrators and do not look out for anything but money. You are overcharged here, and cared very very poorly for. Please if you are looking to move in a loved one here, think twice !

I am very concerned with the way Brookdale Brea runs its facility and will be reaching out to the health department. This facility is not cleaned on a regular basis by any janitorial or custodial professionals. It is the job of a night shift, minimum wage earning caretaker to wipe the handrails and photo frames. There are no daily or weekly cleaning of common areas or resident bathrooms, its not a sanitary environment. While this is concerning under normal circumstances, its frightening during the Covid pandemic. Even with multiple positive cases and other residents showing symptoms, there was no sanitizing or deep cleaning of the facility. Residents that are quarantining in their rooms have their doors open, even those that have tested positive. The treatment of caretakers is horrendous, there is no regard for their safety. They are overworked, underpaid, dont have enough coverage for shifts or for residual staffing when circumstances arise like illness. They offer minimum wage with no hazard pay during the pandemic. Their training is terrible and when they are questioned about the treatment of staff, they blame the employee for improper training or not reporting unclean conditions. My 18 year old daughter has worked for Brookdale for 6 months and I will not allow her to complete even one more shift. They do not have any regard for her as a person or employee. Management is unprofessional and condescending who are extremely focused on nickel and diming residents to death with extra service charges. I would never recommend such a facility to anyone I know or put any loved one in this facility.

Staff truly devoted and my mom is so happy with the care and living choices she experiences 24-7.
