I’ve been going to Jill for years now and what a phenomenal job she does on keratin treatment! I live in VA and used to live in NY for a year and I always found my way back to her for my treatment! She knows what she’s doing and does her very best on applying the material and ironing so little by little for the best result! I’ve tried other places and it was a waste of money!! She’s the only one!!!

Jill takes a tremendous amount of care in her keratin treatments. I’ve had 4 and all of them have turned out well beyond my expectations. As someone who is older, my hair is course and frizzy. Jill transforms it to young, healthy hair. I highly recommend Jill.

I ended up purchasing a Groupon for a Keratin treatment and Alban Hair Design really came through. My hair is as straight as it has ever been and the cut she gave me was fabulous. I can’t wait to see how long it lasts. Overall, great service and I would definitely be back.

I was shaving my own head for over a year and decided to grow it out. I contacted a few places in Quincy that were rude to me, and Im glad they were since I decided to book an appointment online at Alban. Booking was a breeze and the prices were extremely reasonable.Jill was amazing, very professional, excellent at her craft, and just an absolute joy to be around. I was really pleased with my visit and cant wait to return. I would recommend this place to anyone as long as they dont take my appointment slots.She also has a wicked cool plant collection.

I had keratin done last year here and it was honestly the best keratin I’ve ever had. I’ve gone to salons on Newbury street, and Alban Hair Design was 10 times better. I can’t wait to book my next keratin treatment here

They are not complying with COVID safety measures. Masks are not being worn by anyone and they are letting people wait inside for their appointments. I wish I had known otherwise I wouldn’t have booked an appointment and risked exposure. I ended up walking out.

I have been in a rough patch and needed change. I figured changing my hair would be the ultimate change. My stylist was Jill. She made me feel so relaxed and ensured me that I would my new hairstyle would make me feel like a changed woman. Her professionalism and knowledge of the products made me confident that she would do an amazing job. She gave me amazing highlights and also convinced me to do a keratin treatment. She layered and angled my hair exactly the way I wanted it. I’m so happy with the results. I would recommend Jill to my family and all my closest friends. I feel like I can conquer the world with my new hair!!

I had a keratin treatment by Adriana and I absolutely love it. My hair really took to it, its straight, smooth and awesome. I will definitely be returning in 5-6 months. Jill is an awesome professional, shes been taking care of my hair for over 9 years. She does the BEST keratin treatment in the South Shore!!!! Sometimes i have to wait a little for my appointment, after all it is a hair salon 😉 life happens, but her shop is very cozy and welcoming, she always have the best coffee and sometimes food too, so i dont mind waiting a bit for my appointment because i know that i will get the BEST results!!I highly recommend Jill Alban at Alban Hair Design!!!

I had a very unprofessional experience. I arrived prior to my scheduled appointment and was left sitting outside for a minimum of 30 minutes prior to Jill opening the door. She did not apologize and did not offer an explanation. After recent experiences I have heard from others who have gone I will never come here again. Boston has no shortage of talented hairdressers.

I never gave any reviews on the web before, but after some thought I decided to review Jill as I wish no one goes through such a horrific experience as me . And I am not sure if google accepts zero stars that’s the only reason I am giving her one.I went for hair color,highlights, keratin, cut and a dry, I booked all of that through the website.1-From the minute i showed up she told me that she has a customer coming at 2:00 and she has to be done by then clearly she wouldn’t have been done and I knew she will be running late for the customer that’s scheduled at 2:00!!! Great time management2- I told her that she is hurting me while applying the highlights as my hair is tangly and she is pulling in it she said”it looks like u are too sensitive people as sensitive as you shouldn’t get their hair done.3-I was watching something on my phone in Arabic and she said put it off I need to hear my music!!! Great customer service4- the highlights showed zero color all my hair was the same color and it was a waste of time and I showed zero frustration about it as I wanted to get done .5-she was done with my hair at 3:10 and the lady came 2:10, and when I asked her to wash my hair and do the dry after the keratin she went crazy screaming at my face !!!6- telling me that I only go to her place because she can accommodate me as I wear a headscarf and she can put down the curtains and I can’t find that elsewhere !!! Very racist7-she had scissors in her hands yelling at me which was so scary and telling me that she doesn’t have all day to do my hair and I will get her in trouble with the other customer!!! Obviously it’s not me who scheduled the other customer at that time.And how can you yell at someone that way.A few months ago I walked on her shouting at another customer I should have known better.You go to a hairdresser to enjoy your time and have a good experience not to get lectured, criticized and hearing racist comments.I recommended her in the past to a number of friends but I will spread the word.

Had been looking for a new hair dresser for a few months now, since mine had to move away. Found out about Alban hair design. I finally made an appointment and I have to say I left Jill in absolute Love, my hair was nothing but perfect. She did exactly what I asked but exceeded my expectations in all aspects. I got the Keratin done and got layers as part of a new hair cut. It’s been now 2 weeks and here I am to say my hair is so healthy, still so shiny and easy to care for. I super recommend it.

I got a Groupon for a Keratin treatment, I had never had one before so wasn’t sure how it would come out, saw some great reviews here about it- so I booked my appt and I got my Keratin done , great affordable price, my hair loved it- I have a lot of hair and at times hard to manage. It’s been now a week and I am loving the results, easy manageable , shiny and smooth hair is what I Have.Thank you Alban Hair design great work. Definitely coming back.

I dont usually write reviews on Google (Yelp is much better), but when I went looking for the salon number I did a Google search, as I didnt have the # handy, and I saw that here are a lot of FAKE REVIEWS here from people who have clearly never been to this salon, so I felt compelled to post. Be a wise consumer and read the negative posts - notice anything similar about them?I discovered this salon via Groupon about 2 years ago when I was looking for a new stylist in the Braintree/Weymouth area after having several bad experiences (Arnold Wayne and Lotus). Jill, the owner, was my original stylist (she still does my keratin), but I have since also had the pleasure of her daughter, Adrianna, doing my cut/color. (Adrianna recently put in some fun red accents, which I love, and which she did perfectly given my job isnt conducive to wild hair styles). Both ladies are pleasant and competent. Jill is a professional who cares about doing whats best for her clients, first and foremost. As such, she isnt a pushover - if you want something that she thinks is bad for your hair or wont look the way you envision, she will tell you...and will refuse to do it. I, for one, really appreciate that - SHE is the expert, after all! Keratin treatments here are excellent/long-lasting and are very affordable (dont bother with Groupon, just call them directly and they will honor the Groupon price). They dont push products on you, either, which I find annoying. Finally, they often work on the weekends (including Sundays) if you really need to be seen for a special event or because of a crazy schedule.
