Dr Asterita is a caring and well versed in current medical trends. I would recommend him to anyone. If you remember the days when you felt like a doctor actually cared about your current health and future well-being he is your guy!

I must first start by saying I am very pleased with Dr. Asterita. He is very professional, listens well, and explains in layman‘s terms.My biggest complaint, and I believe is a serious complaint, is how the operation of Intercoastal works. I believe the practice is growing too large for the amount of staff handling it. I recently called to find out why my lab requests were not in the system as I had previously been informed that they were. When I inquired with the lab they had no record of either my husband or my lab work to be done. Over a two day period, spent 87 1/2 minutes waiting, to no avail, for a staff member to answer the phone. With an upcoming wellness visit and lab work to be completed before the visit, I am unable to obtain this. My last visit, my lab work ended up being done after my visit. I ultimately received a Call from the office stating every thing was normal, when in fact it was NOT. Intercoastal must train their staff to a higher standard, and they must add additional staff to handle the large call volume. No one under any circumstances should wait on hold for 20 to 25 minutes per call.There are certain advantages to having practices such as Intercoastal wear for the doctors they have the ability to access records from any doctor within the Intercoastal system; however this very system has grown beyond their control, in my estimation.

Dr. Asterita was recommended to me by another doctor. I found him to be caring and very knowledgeable. In all my visits he always sits down ,go over my test results and answer all my questions. I never feel rushed. I am thankful that he is with Intercoastal group. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of an excellent doctor.
