Great experience so far. My bf was admitted a few days ago and he is currently having a procedure done. The older gentleman in the outpatient waiting area was EXTREMELY hospitable. He checked on me several times to make sure I didnt need anything as I waited. His friendliness really made me happy which is why I decided to make this review. I would definitely recommend Blake hospital to those with emergencies.

Excellent medical care during my entire day stay!My family worried because the Informer tracking system utilized during my day stay lost me in the system. Subsequently my family came to the hospital to find me in person. It took a while to find me , but I was right where I was suppose to be...in the out patient recovery ward. I was fine the whole time. But during the Covid pandemic, it was unfortunate that family had to take the next the step for an in person visit to find me.If the tracking system was more comprehensive to follow me the whole day, then my familys in person tracking could have been avoided.I did not bring my cell phone, since it was considered a valuable that should be left home. The Informer tracking system is a great idea. It id not work as intended on this day for my family.

I had an MRI at Blakes outpatient center at the Hospital. From the reception (Robert) to the MRI Technologist (Lee Ann) it was a fantastic experience. Everyone I interacted with was kind, friendly and professional. The check in process was streamlined making it easy to complete. I dont remember the womans name who finalized the process unfortunately, but she was so very nice and accommodating. The CT Technologist that started my IV was great! I didnt even feel it. She made it painless. And Lee Ann!! What a great Tech! Knowledgeable, efficient and professional but so friendly!! I felt right at ease knowing she was taking care of me.Overall, I would say that it was the best medical experience I have ever had. I would encourage anyone to utilize this great facility.

I had a really good experience with Blake - first time there too. I was seen very quickly, but of course, you still have to wait for the tests to come back in order to get an accurate diagnosis. Sure, the wait was a little long for that, but isnt that just about everywhere? The good news that I received was worth it - thanks for being there when I needed you!

Doctor came out to me in waiting room and brought me back... This shows that as a doctor he is in tune with the people he works with and isnt too good to help out. He was very easy to speak with. Just as the the nurse in triage.. The RN that wrapped my finger was also just as nice and informative... Was in and out in less than an hour. I know this wont be every visit, but was helpful to me on this particular day.

Went it with abdominal pain after the doctor at Pinnacle sent me there knowing it was my gallbladder because of the swelling. Blake did an ultrasound and CT scan said they did not find anything when you could see a huge lump where my gallbladder is at. I never even got to see or speak to a doctor the 6 hours I was there. I then went to Dr Erbella office and my gallbladder was full of stones and as big as a grapefruit. Dr Erbella who is amazing took me right in for emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder. I will never go to Blake for anything the hospital is horrible and staff was very rude.

My nurses were fantastic, especially my day nurse who was extremely helpful. However my doctors were residents who did not communicate at all. Each one i spoke to gave me very different information. To top it off, the primary doctor on my case said I was clear to go home with antibiotics the day I came in and I was not to be admitted. THEY ADMITTED ME ANYWAY. I had to stay overnight and was not allowed to eat as all the residents insisted I needed surgery. Which was not fun considering I’m pregnant!! Waiting to see how much they try to bill me for this.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Several things went wrong while my mother was there. FIRST: a nurse made a mistake and put a DNR bracelet on my mom. No one called her family to ask about that and her spouse did not sign off on that order. I just so happen to go visit her and see the bracelet. I want to know why her nurses didn’t realize the error?! Why did I discover it and ask questions? She had a DNR bracelet on for a whole day, now what if something happened and they did not resuscitate her?! She was NEVER that type of patient! SECOND: they transferred her to SMH - didn’t call anyone and notify them of this move. We found out through a friend that saw my mom there and called to notify our family.THIRD- the room was dirty. Ants were crawling from the ceiling to the floor.

The nurses for the most part are exceptionally responsive to my needs. Since I had colitis, intervention by the nutritionists were welcomed as they examined so many aspects of my physical being. The technicians were kind as I went for many radiographic studies. The ER DO, Mathew, was gentle, kind, and complete in his assessments. Being placed on a septic watch was probably fortuitous. My major concern is that administration is taking the nursing out of nurses. Overloaded with too many patients, the nurse doesnt have time to enact many nursing skills taught in school or at the facility, and move on to the next patient too quickly. I often provided the info I needed for my nurse for one visit versus several visits during the shift. Only one nurse required the opposite = one question/need at a time. The overload is pushing nurses from bedside care to other supportive professions where their skills are needed.

I was transferred to this hospital after a trauma. I was placed in the hallway 4 1/2 hours. Then at midnight I finally got a room. And it was only at this point that they told me that my wife could not stay with me. Mind you we were at an hour and a half away from home. My wife is on her way out to go sleep in the car. thankfully I had a nurse on my floor able to at least make arrangements for my wife to sleep inside. I waited over 24 hours for my surgery to Amputate my appendage. when I was discharged I was only given a list of my pain medications? I was not given instructions on what to look for for infection or how to care for my wound. I felt like I was put in a room and forgot about. every patient should be treated with dignity and respect!!!

When I was steered back into the right direction, the young woman at the front took my temperature and gave me a mask and then a very friendly volunteer escorted me to where I needed to be, rather than point the way and tell me where to go. There were some nurses better than others but I think in their own way they all tried. The problem was I was on the 3rd floor where I think all of the patience needed a lot of help because they were unable to help themselves. When I used my call light it could be anywhere from 5 minutes to over half a hour before anyone might answer. THEN they would say they will tell your nurse which sometimes over an hour with no response I would have to call again. and then have to wait all over again. If you are in the bathroom they want you to pull for help to get back to bed BUT that call light is no different than the one by your bed with the intercom and if you cant answer they just hang up on you. SO you could fall or just need help getting up and you will just sit there They do not send anyone. When you complain the just say sorry they were just too busy. I could see that being a very big problem for them someday if not already. The nurses seem to have way more patience than they can handle and they dont seem to have any full time helpers. I didnt need a nurse to help me to bed but there was only a nurse there to do it, it seemed. If these are Blake policies to have more care for their share holders then the patients well being, it shows. They must have changed cooks while I was there because when I first started eating everything was good then one day it was all bad. The vegetables were all half cooked raw the meats were super dry and tough. The eggs were burnt. Also being in isolation the food servers I guess couldnt just bring in my food so I would have to call a lot to bring me my food in after it sat for a long time out there. It was all terrible. I had several doctors that were always taking over for one another but I guess they all did a good job that finally got me out of there. IF Blake was just to have more assistance nurses that can help with the IV alarms, do bathroom assistance, check for waters and help people just feel more comfortable that would go a long long way. I mean I was stuck in the bathroom close to an hour before I got the energy to get my self back to bed one time. I was both MAD and scared and just for Im sorry we are doing the best we can

The doctor I saw ordered lab tests that in the past were covered but were not this time. The lab said they were ordered incorrectly and the doctor should correct them.3. Most important to me multiple calls were not acknowledged to discuss the matter which indicates to me, a lack of concern or trying to do too much with too little time.4. The medical service I received seemed satisfactory.

When I arrived, I was quickly cared for, put on a chair and taken for care. I immediately informed the nurse that morphine does nothing, and only Toridol works to allow the back muscles to relax, allowing the stone to pass. But because another patient arrived at emergency shortly after me, the nurse had to go help the other. It was only a few hours later that the pain began to subside, and the stone passed sometime before noon. I could have been discharged soon after, but was told a kidney specialist was to see me before. Another 4, 5 hours later it became clear the specialist would not come, so the nurse allowed me to leave. So, I was at the hospital for a total of about 16 hours. Were it not for the no-show of the specialist, I could have been discharged in less than 12 hours, I would have given a 4 star rating, could have had some food, and gone home sooner. Besides those things, the staff deserves at least a 4+ star rating. Just anxiously waiting now to receive the bill. 😟

Where do I start? I went to this hospital a week ago for high blood pressure and it was 229-114! I was told that I was in grave danger and asked if I had a will then I was rolled out into the ER waiting room with no medication to bring down the blood pressure. Wait! I thought I was in grave danger? I sat out there for six hours with nobody checking my blood pressure, no medicine to lower it. It took Someone going to a doctor telling them that I was basically out in the wheelchair. Finally I made it to a ER bed and from there I still wasn’t given any medicine to lower the blood pressure. The charge nurse ordered it she even apologized to me. However the male nurse was too busy walking around flexing refusing to give me the second dose of medicine that the charge nurse had ordered. After I was admitted to the hospital (another four hours had passed) the nurses were too busy complaining about their jobs, the instructions from their doctors, and yes even complaining to us patients. They also complained about their personal life to us. Angie & Jojo should compassion and tried to help as much as possible.I was tested with all kinds of tests and still to this day I do not know the results of the tests. The doctors? They kept asking if I was on street drugs (that’s laughable) then had all of my blood samples and urine so they knew I wasn’t on drugs (I might have been acting off because of sitting in the ER waiting room for ten hours with “in grave danger” blood pressure) needless to say they also seemed like they didn’t care and I was a bother as well.I was sent home without medication the following day while my blood pressure was still “dangerously high.”I did have to return back to Blake Medical Center later Wednesday night with the same issue. The doctor and nurse could not believe that I was sent home with high blood pressure and no medicine. They helped me that night and apologized to me.I will never step foot in this hospital again and I suggest you do not either. Because if you have a trauma they act as if they don’t know what to do nor do they care. But hey, you got my insurance money and deductible.Do not tell me that you appreciate my feedback and apologize. I want something done about how you treat people who trust you with their lives! I wouldn’t even give one star to this hospital if I had that choice. This has been the longest two weeks of our lives and we do not appreciate the run around of all the departments telling us it’s not their fault, it’s another department. You all work together! And your are supposed to be working for the people. We are appalled by the lack of care from this faculty and our mother passing at your place and we still don’t have her yet. Ridiculous and unacceptable. Her funeral could have been tomorrow and now we are all scrambling all over the untied states still trying to get her body from y’all so that we can get some closure. Absolutely absurd. You are in too popular of a city to be so negligent with time and peoples lives.

I accompanied my mother yesterday at Blake Hospital where she received excellent treatment for an MRI and Bone scan. All the staff we had interactions with were so friendly, kind and helpful. Volunteers Dianne in the Outpatient Check-In Office and Ed at the front door were just the icing on the cake. We had a very pleasant experience through what could have been a very stressful day. Lunch at the Cigar City Smokers food truck outside was just what we needed during the long day!

I’ve had a horrible experience at one of the clinics here. Would never have sought treatment at said clinic if I’d been able to foresee the care I’d receive. Judgemental and rude nurses and staff ignored my concerns and medical issues. A medical procedure was done to me while I was asleep without my prior knowledge of it being a possibility and to which I would not of agreed too. I was bullied, forced to sign documents I didn’t consent too and was not treated with respect and dignity. I would not recommend this facility to anyone for treatment or surgery of anything.

Shout-out to my nurses for making my stay there absolutely amazing. Angie, Sam, Kathia, Faith and the few others whos name I forgot (Im sorry about forgetting) were the best. Even having a terrible roommate they made sure that I was all smiles. Everyone only ever says the bad about this place (which the food is 😂) but these nurses will make sure you leave smiling!

The medical team that took care of my left total hip replacement was truly spectacular. From Dr. Alan Valadies expertise and gifted hands and his staffs logistical (Heather) and pre-op education (Rob) to Blakes extremely attentive, caring and talented nursing crew (Shannon, Natasha, Lauren, Liz, Rhonda and Nancy) and physical therapist wizard (Chief Rollie), every interaction along the way with my team was a positive one. Their concern was always my comfort and well-being. From Robert and Sue in Outpatient Registration, Loris thorough pre-op run-down on what I needed to know about the operation, to Shauna at the front reception desk who recognized I needed a wheel chair to get to back Outpatient Registration and then took me all the way back there; very special. I never had a moments concern about my care while with my Blake Medical Center team. I highly recommend them to anyone needing good care.

Entered through the ER with chest pain. They were very nice and effective. I has Angioplasty while there. The Cath lab employees were all amazing and helped me feel relaxed about the procedure. The Director, Tom even help me.My only issue was when admitted to room 419B it was terrible trying to get someone to answer the call button. I realize the nurses are busy with other patients but the wait time was ridiculous. You really need to consider adding more nurses.Blake is my hospital so I will only go there but your ratio of nurse per patient needs to be addressed.

Very Professional. I went in the ER and had a pain-tingling feeling in my left arm. I thought I was having a heart attack. They took me in immediately. No wait. I was admitted and stayed overnight. All the personnel were very kind and professional. My wife is a Doctor and she was highly impressed. I would highly recommend Blake Medical Center.

Blake did an amazing job at getting me seen immediately. I had severe back paid. Everything was top notch, except the attending physician. He was unaware of ANY pain meds other than percocet. I’m allergic to that stuff. He gave me steroids and sent me away. No caring. No understanding of how to treat people. Other than him, everything was great unfortunately, I was in severe pain long after that visit.
