I recently referred my father here to treat my special needs brother to this office for his root canal, majority of my patients have been sent here as Im a local dental hygienist. After the procedure my brother called me very upset because he felt the entire root canal process and the doctor told him it was normal to feel what he was feeling in his tooth. He stated they numbed him twice and he still felt everything. Im very upset to hear that they continue the treatment on him with him able to feel what he said felt like needles in the inside of his tooth. Even today he says hes in pain. He said he felt like a number and that they were rushing to try and complete him to get to his next patient. This upsets me so early not only because of what my special needs brother had to sit through but the fact that Im constantly referring patients to this office.

Extremely professional practice and knowledgeable staff. Had two root canal therapies with Dr Broome one month apart, different circumstances. I couldnt argue with his reasoning—takes a very evidenced-based approach to performing interventions. Emergency after hours supportive care phone line, really impressed by that, they call you back right away even late at night. Feeling grateful to have been in such competent hands with this entire frontline team. Transparency on billing too.

I recently had an Apicoectomy and I cant say enough about the awesome care I received. Dr. Duerson and his staff were outstanding on how they explained everything and answered all of my questions. The procedure itself took about 15 minutes (or about 3 songs on my earbuds which I was allowed to have as a distraction). The best part is I experienced absolutely NO pain at any time....even post op. You should feel very good having been referred to this office. It is state of the art and super clean. Their professionalism will impress you.

I cant express how grateful i am for this establishment. After coming in with MAJOR tooth pain, they went above and beyond to get me in and taken care of and out of pain. They got me in quickly for x-rays, diagnosis, and took care of the problem all within 24 hours. Dr. Duerson was incredibly nice, helpful, and compassionate. Also a beautiful and very clean office. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great Experience getting 3 root canals... It sounds like a joke, but its not.I had my first 3 root canals within a week at Lakewood Ranch Endodontics by Dr. Duerson. Despite all the horror stories people told me about root canals, it wasnt a big deal at all. I credit my positive experience to the professionalism of Dr. Duerson and his staff. Thank you all at Lakewood Ranch Endodontics for everything you did for me. I highly recommend!!!!

Dr Deuson consult was the WORST I ever experience in my life. He was arrogant , barely gave me the time of day, and had no compassion , stood far from me with arms crossed. felt like a was a burden asking questions. He never looked in my mouth. I asked to meet with his associate realizing no way hes working on me. He coldly responded that it will cost me another $90 and I could go somewhere else. Wish I had read the reviews first before spending the consult fee. At least I felt validated and went elsewhere. I felt greed. FYI even though there may be some good reviews the bad ones are usually the real experiences to be true! Lastly the office was cold feeling echoey and didnt feel clean. As one person said they felt they were in a Burger King.

Avoid this Endodontist, after a root canal still having pain and was told in a condescending manner its because you are old and that is normal with age!

I did not feel like a valued patient. Doctor Boone or Broone left me waiting 6 times. Multiple times with the guard in my mouth and one time with the guard in my mouth for 5-10 minutes. That was very uncomfortable. At the end he didnt even tell me about a crown or a filling. He just said up front they will do or send information to my dentist. I also dont know if I need a follow up with them to check out the root canal later? They people including the doctor were friendly, but it felt like a McDonalds drive thru. The procedure went fine and I didnt feel anything, but that is a root canal nowadays. The amount of money I spent and to not feel like a valued patient doesnt make me happy.

Many thanks to Dr. Craig Duerson for his cautious approach during my visit last month. I thought the pain in a tooth with an old root canal would require immediate retreatment, but after the x-ray and exam Dr. D advised waiting to see if the pain would go away without the procedure. Im so glad he did. Pain disappeared within a couple of days with no medication, so I avoided -- at least for now -- an expensive and lengthy procedure. Other doctors might have rushed in with some kind of intervention before it was necessary, and I really appreciate Dr. Ds more careful approach.James Huntington.

I was referred to Lakewood Ranch Endodontics by my dentist twice. My experience here was absolutely AWFUL both times. The thought of endodontic work is terrifying enough and should warrant an office staff full of compassion. This office provides the exact opposite. They are cold, lack all compassion, and rush you through the discussion process. I will inform my dentist of this experience and perhaps they should stop referring to this practice.

I am writing this on behalf of my husband and others so they never have to go through what he did today!! If I could give them a 0 I would. He was treated rudely and unprofessional after being in terrible pain for 4 days and no reply from their office on their voicemail that he left on a Thurs the week before. Called our dentist on Sunday on cell phone. Was called in an antibiotic. Not strong enough. Ended up going in to the Dentist on Tues. for them to take an x ray, but then they sent me to the emergency room for stronger antibiotic. I had an abscess. We went through our dentist again for help. Dentist gave a call to this office again and made the appointment for Wed. 3:00 pm. He has an abscess tooth and had been on antibiotics for days. He walks in there after waiting for help and one young lady said that he they had to take an x ray. He was in pain. He told them that the other office had it. They faxed it over or emailed it. Another women came in and forcible told my husband no x ray, nothing will be done. My husband went to the office Manager Alfonso and he didnt help either. The dentist never came out to help or talk to my husband. They sent him away! Then they said if he wanted to come back in, it would be Friday, two days! And that it wouldnt even be a root canal!!!! He was told when he made the appt. on Tues. that they would do the work on Wed! Now they were putting him off until Friday and not even helping him whatsoever. Never in his life has he ever been treated so badly. He is 58 years old! We just moved here a year ago and didnt have knowledge of good dentists and bad ones. Had to call a doctor in Sarasota to get him in tomorrow. Never go to this dentist!!!

I had my first root canal and was a bit apprehensive. However, I highly recommend going to Lakewood Ranch Endodontics. They are very professional, tell you how long the procedure will be, what they are doing every step of the way and also contact you to check to see how you are doing. My procedure only took 30 minutes and I didn’t feel anything.

First of all, what a great looking, modern office. Dr. Duerson made my first root canal experience painless! I honestly dont know why I was scared once the procedure was over. I highly recommend this office, the staff here is knowledgeable and explained every part of the procedure and recovery. I wont be nervous if i have to come back here.

Incredibly rude endodontist. I have never experienced such poor interaction with a medical professional. Anger management and bed side manor training highly recommended. I mean everybody has bad days....but this guy was beyond rude and demeaning.

Very positive experience starting with initial phone contact with Brianne in reception; very polite and helpful. Arrived to a very clean, bright, modern office with huge windows so you can look out and see nature which is very calming when youre having your teeth worked on. Naya, dental assistant was very nice and personable. Dr. Duerson did a expert job. They both made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. Highly recommend.

I was referred here for a root canal by my general dentist. I have serious anxiety over having any dental work done so I was super worried about this appointment and put it off longer than I should. This office was top notch. From scheduling, to the assistant and the doctor they were great! Everyone was nice and made sure I was comfortable and understood everything from start to finish. The doctor was very knowledgeable and gentle. I didnt feel any pain at all during or after the procedure. I highly recommend this office!

I had a wonderful experience, I needed a root canal on a front tooth that I have a 14 year old porcelain crown on, I was very nervous and it was one of the easiest dental procedures I have ever had. I am also 7 months pregnant and was worried about pain during and after and I wish I wouldnt have put the procedure off 2 weeks! Hopefully I dont need anything in the future but if I do I will definitely be back!

They don’t take most insurances and charge an obscene amount. They called to cancel my appt twice and told me they would give me a discount on my first cash procedure then I went to pay and they said they didn’t do anything like that. My husband is a Dr. and he would never run his practice in such a way!

I had a root canal repair, and the experience was quite painful. I had a bad headache and dizziness that day and night. It may have just been a difficult tooth to repair, but no explanation was given. I thought the dentist could have explained more about what he was doing and why it was hurting me. I was trying to be brave. The office staff were pleasant and helpful.

Do yourself a favor stay AWAY from Lakewood Ranch Endodontic and go with Dr Mitchell Edlund Endodontic in Sarasota!!!!My experience at Lakewood Ranch was not good I was in so much pain and even just getting the Novocaine was excruciating. It was so bad and I honestly felt uncomfortable at that office. I felt like everything was so rushed nothing was really being explained to me and the doctor just seem to come in give me Novacaine and wanted to just start the procedure without any real explanation. I explain to the doctor at Lakewood Ranch that I was not able to continue on and asked if I could just do anabiotic’s and then come back once the pain subsided a little. The Lakewood Ranch Endodontic doctor said that would be OK. When I went home I started researching where to have a root canal done and wanted to read the reviews because I just did not like the experience I had and I did not feel comfortable going back to Lakewood ranch Endodontic. I came across the reviews for Dr. Edlund I called the office to schedule an appointment. I went in he was able to do a CT scan of my tooth and he Explained everything. I had the root canal done today 6/18/19 and honestly was not in any pain it was more like getting a filling. I am so relieved that I decided to go to doctor Edlund and did not continue on at Lakewood Ranch. He understands what he’s doing and is passionate about his work. He even took x-rays while performing the procedure. I was able to see everything on the screen x-ray wise. Although I hope never to have a root canal done again ...lol. If I have to in the future I would definitely go back to Dr Edlund without any fear or hesitation. Do yourself a favor stay AWAY from Lakewood Ranch Endodontic and go with Dr Mitchell Edlund Endodontic in Sarasota!!!!

I went here for my first ever root canal. Ive heard horror stories my whole life and can tell you that was not the case. I was treated with the upmost of respect (Very nice staff) and each step of the process was explained in detail prior to the work being done. I left with no pain and had only VERY mild pain later. So little that I didnt even take any meds. GREAT JOB!

Dr Duerson did a very difficult procedure for me without causing any pain or discomfort. His assistant, Joanne stayed with me the entire time I was in the chair. I am still in disbelief that I was able to get such extraordinary care at Lakewood Endodontic after having several awful experiences by other providers in the dental field. Today I saw Craig C. Broome at his Lakewood Ranch Endodontist Office in Bradenton and again, he was remarkable and breezed through root canals most others were calling too complex. Dr Craig C. Broome has been my endodontist for several years now and there is no better endodontist in the Tampa Bay area.He is very busy but the wait and allowing others to share time with such a gifted endodontist is very much worth it. His job is to SAVE TEETH and he is the best at it! Craig C. Broome is the best endodontist in Bradenton.

Dr Craig did my Root Canal and I was expecting the worse as I have been in alotof pain these last few weeks...I have to say to my surprise...I really didnt feel anything...Not one needle...He was very gental and did it quickly...and his assistant Naya was on the ball...She was right on que with the Dr...Absolutely I would recommend this office and this Dr 1000 percent...Thanks So Much!!Susie Scott

Root canal ok ...but didnt tell me until I was done that the temp filling would leak a chemical taste into my mouth for the week a had to wait to see my regular dentist to get permanent filling ... made me sick to my stomach.

This doctors office took over 5 weeks to process my insurance and because it was a root canal of a chipped tooth I had to have other dental procedures done after and by the time they processed my insurance I was at my cap and had to pay out of pocket. They are extremely disorganized.
