I decided to try a new salon, and was given the opportunity to have Lucaya work on my hair. I had a root touch up and cut. The salon was clean, and the atmosphere was relaxing. I saw how the owners take care of their employees, which in turn makes for happy employees. Makes me want to keep returning. It is a breath of fresh air to see a company take care of its people. I have also referred a few of my peeps here, and they were happy as well.

I had an appt for my daughter for just a trim. She decided on the way she wanted to chop it off. I wasn’t ready for it. Mark came out and talked it over with us and stepped in to help because the girl we were scheduled with was running a little late and we were on a tight schedule. He was so nice and accommodating and did such a great job cutting her hair.

So, my sister went to Sheer Rituals, and had her hair done by Lucaya. Had about 8 inches taken off, plus a color, to not only even out the Mish mosh of color but to cover about 3vinches of gray. Lucky, did an excellent job, it didnt take forever, nor cost a fortune and the whole feel of the shop was very comfortable, was afraid of ot being snooty , but nothing further from the truth. Its her new go to and they also didnt do a heavy sell on products either. Great job.

First timer here, salon has a nice ambience and personnel is friendly, Richard was great! He listened to my concerns and needs and the end result was what I wanted (except for my neck area where I had cut the hair myself and needed repair). I will definitely come back for my next different look, I also definitely recommend Shear Rituals.

RICHARD is great. Nice coloring and highlights. Good cut. Plan in advance as it took me about 4 to 6 weeks to get worked into his schedule. Maybe you can get lucky and he will have a cancelation. Makes me young. Lol gray roots gone.

Richard is amazing! This was my very first time going to this salon. And I am very happy with haircut. The salon is pretty, well organized but I am mostly amazed by Richard. He was very professional, friendly, straight forward and actually listened to my request. Ive been to other fancy salons, and I always leave upset. Im very happy I found this salon! Had my appointment with Richard, not a pleasant experience! A complete disappointment! If you are looking for a complex hair color technique, this is not the place for it. Also, if you enjoy your hair being pulled forcibly different direction, during washing and drying, well Richard is your guy. Have been to a different salons throughout the world, never before in my life my hair was washed with such a bruit force! Richard also believes that in order to make your hair look smooth he needs to put a ton of product in it. Never once he asked if I would be okay with any king of hair product, or if I am allergic to certain smells, etc. The shampoo that smells like a clove is not something that I would’ve ever approve of. Also the brush that was used to dry my hair had a hairs from previous client on it, disgusting!I think troll here is you as well as being the one who enjoys bullying as well. Check your books and you will see my appointment. Maybe teach your staff to be gentle with their clients hair instead of spilling your opinion on the service that was given to me.You pointing out my “other bad reviews” which is an absolute lie coming from you. Don’t like the reviews, try fixing what is broken instead of going on personal attacks and justifications of mistakes your staff is making.Oh yes, and because you are bouncing back I just have to be okay with my hair being ripped out and your staff not cleaning their hair brushed from previous clients...

Lauren Crossen is my stylist and she makes me feel beautiful every time she colors, cuts and styles my hair. She is friendly, fun, and listens to what I want to have done each time I visit the salon. I appreciate her professionalism and knowledge about hair and color. Don’t come to this salon for a complete color change. Even with a consult with pictures and being told no problem, the end result was no where even near what I wanted. They were unwilling to fix the problem and I was told I would need to pay for another appointment.

Matthew did my hair for years before I moved away and my hair looked phenomenal the entire time he did my highlights and cut. He is by far the most talented I have ever had do my hair along with bring super nice my daughter was young at the time and loved going to see Matthew. Highly recommend and wish his salon want 3 hours away (although I must say his work would be worth the drive!)

Worst Salon ever! Owner makes up stories to fit his opinion and what really happened doesn’t matter..Left with unfinished hair and then berated and demeaned by him. Most unprofessional business owner ever...Also he will reply saying I am not telling the truth and that wasn’t what happened, oh and that I was refunded, but his real response was he already spent it. Go somewhere else, this place is not worth a penny of your hard earned money.

I accepted another stylist at this salon when my original one was no longer there. That was short lived. I asked for a steep angled cut with choppy layers throughout. I asked to keep the sides the exact length they were. She immediately cut them off by a couple of inches leaving not a lot of room for angling. So I just thought it would be shorter overall than anticipated. In the end, I look like Im wearing a round, smooth, tennis ball. It was like she took everything I asked not to do and did it! I wanted to have it fixed - BY SOMEONE ELSE at the salon. But they cant get me in for a week or more? I have an important event I was getting this cut for. I asked for my money refunded so I can go somewhere else and get it fixed. They will not refund. How greedy is that? No one can argue that this is so far from what I asked for. You would think they would feel apologetic about ruining someones hair, not too bad, so sad, we wont give your money back.

Scheduled an appointment with Richard.on a referral from another client on social media. My first visit to this salon. Richard is just awesome awesome awesome,.. He understood exactly what I was looking for. Had to do damage control on my hair lol. I am so pleased with the results. Thank you Richard. This place has gotten too big for its own good. They used to be friendly and customer service oriented and it felt like they valued your business. But now that they are popular and booked up they act like theyre doing you a favor by even letting you have an appointment with them at all. They can keep the attitude.

My stylist Chris was absolutely wonderful. I had not been to a salon in several years and had been box dying my hair. She had to correct the yellow and tiger stripes I had created. She did an amazing job with the color and gave me the exact cut I was looking for as well. The entire staff was welcoming and a lot of fun! It has an energetic and youthful feel when you walk in. I went in today to get a cut and my eyebrows does with Morgan, I couldnt be more satisfied! She did an amazing consult, gave me a gorgeous cut which I love, and did amazing job on my eyebrows. I can officially say I have found my new stylist. The salon is an Aveda salon which I love as their products are way better for hair.

Two weeks ago, I scheduled a haircut with McKenna, I asked for a cut that flows effortless behind my ears and flatter my face. She apparently did not know how to do this, so she curtly said Ill cut it so you can choose to tuck it behind your ears.Granted Im no hairdresser, but after trimming it the way I actually asked for, it looked way better than the bulky cut she decided to give me. And this was with a pair of dollar store scissors.Furthermore, I got highlights a month ago, all of which are completely gone due to the harsh shampoo that shouldnt strip my color. Something I was not warned about until I asked.I’ll definitely to stick with my regular hairdresser who actually listens. And NO you will not find me in the records because this is not my real name.

Absolutely Amazing Experience!!I was very nervous when enetering the shop, but I knew what I wanted. The receptionist was sweet and quickly brought me a stylist named Makenna who listened to what I wanted and helped me plan around my busy schedule so make an appointment.Makenna was so kind and very confident and excited to help me make my idea come to life so much that all my worries really left at the door.The hospitality at the shop was great and the other workers stopped even asked to make sure I was doing great.Did I mention there was a cute dog here too?Overall 5 stars from me , I highly recommend Shear Rituals to anyone looking to be uplifted ! Meh. Didnt get my hair done. They told me professionally why they couldnt--its too long and staff is too inexperienced... This is a wonderful Aveda salon with a relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Last week I received one of the best long hair compliments Ive ever received.... “Your hair is beautiful do you have extensions”. Nope...it’s all mine. My secret weapon is Matt an amazing master Aveda stylist and educator. I’ve been seeing Matt for over 8 years. I sit in his chair and he works his magic. I’ve also seen Mark and Jamie both are also excellent stylists.The Aveda Salon in Bradenton is owned by Matthew & Mark I love the friendly atmosphere, exceptional service and professional way it’s managed.I also like that Matt, Mark and the talented team at Shear Rituals give back to and are involved in our community.

This salon looks great at first but if you visit youll soon find out that the people that work their act like they think they are somehow better than the customers. Not a good feeling, I will not be returning here.
