Stay away from Maddie in Dr. McGuires office. She is unprofessional and will screw up your plans. Thats what happened to me this week, as I never heard back from her about the ASL interpreter and confusion about the colonoscopy date. Dr. McGuires is a very competent doctor and he does not deserve to have an employee like her.

I was a patient of Dr. McGuire and after a colonoscopy and endoscopy he diagnosed me with microscopic colitis and celiac disease. He treated my celiac, but never addressed the colitis. He told me about foods to avoid and referred me to a Nutrionist. I stayed on a gluten free diet for one year. After that year I still had serious symptoms.Thank God a friend referred me to another Gastro physician. After an initial visit and testing, his diagnosis was that I did not have celiac after all, and felt the colitis was causing my life to be so miserable. He put me on a medicine for colitis, and within one week I was completely fine! Due to my misdiagnosis by Dr. McGuire I missed out on my favorite foods for one year, which he told me had to be omitted from my diet. Celiac is a tough disease with a lot of sacrifices! In addition, it was an awful year, because I was not getting better.I do not have celiac. I have colitis; however; all of my symptoms have been resolved due to the fact I decided to go to another doctor! I feel alive and healthy, once again.

Absolutely love my visits to Dr. McGuire. He has saved my life and so many others. Would recommend him to anyone struggling with Gastro Health. Not only did I enjoy his visits, but my husband was truly saved by him. After being in pain for almost 27 years with Ulcerative Colitis just a few visits with Dr. McGuire helped exponentially.

Great Doctor - 5 star. Unfortunately, he has the worst staff I have ever encountered, so that brings his rating down to the lowest possible - 1 star. Hope you have better luck dealing with them than I have.

Dr. Mc guire came highly recommended by a friend but I found him to be totally disinterested during my visit. He was so busy entering data into his computer he did not even listen to me. When I spoke to his nurse about the reason I came to him she told me that I never told this to the doctor. Of course he never heard me. I wasted my time and now have to find a doctor more patient focused and less computer involved.

Dr McGuire is the best. He is very professional, very personable and a pleasure to deal with. Have been seeing him over a year now and feel very fortunate to have found him. I highly recommend this Dr and this office.

Dr. McGuire seems to be competent enough but his staff leaves a lot to be desired. In my opinion I believe that you should recieve a call from the Dr. himself or at least the staff later in the afternoon (when having procedure in early morning) after a procedure to see how you a doing, did not get call till late , the next afternoon. then waited 8 business days to hear about the results of the biopsy when I had to start calling the office myself for 2 days straight before I finally get a call back from staff (for a total of 10 business days) needless to say I am not impressed. I the wife was considering having him do my colonoscopy but now have decided to make the trip to palm beach lakes blvd and have mine done by the Dr. that did my first one(was hoping I found someone in Boynton Beach I dont like driving that much). this review was written by the wife of the patient.
