This review is long overdue. I have been seeing Dr. Hale for over 4 years - after seeing several dermatologist both in Colorado and Texas and I can say without a doubt that she is hands down THE BEST dermatologist I’ve been too - I’d go as far as saying she’s the best doctor I’ve been too. She is that rare breed of doctor that is both incredibly talented/technical AND also kind and compassionate. You can feel that she genuinely cares about her patients - which is rare these days. She never rushes through visits, you always feel heard, she is well versed in the latest treatments. Dr. Hale and her staff go above and beyond. If you need a dermatologist look no further.

Just returned from my first appointment with Zeal and was beyond impressed with the practice. Dr. Pilkington was incredibly patient as I am a neurotic hypochondriac and notoriously difficult patient ;) Great staff, wonderful communication and patience and now that I am old and decrepit I am excited for Azeals doctors and estheticians to take this old pumpkin and turn me back into a glowing Cinderella.

The best dermatology office I have ever been to, and Dr. Hale is amazing. The facility was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were polite, helpful and easy to talk to. Everything ran on time. Dr. Hale took the time to listen to all my concerns and questions on my adult acne. It was obvious she was well researched and up to date on the latest information. She offered me several avenues of treatment. Dr.Hale was cost conscious on the products she recommended and the prescriptions, which is something I appreciate. She even helped me out when my insurance was causing trouble with a prescription!I came back in the next day for a free consultation for makeup that they recommend with Acne. Azeal is the best, hands down! Dr. Pilkington always goes above and beyond to help me, even outside of regular business hours. For example, my pharmacy wouldnt let me refill a prescription without prior authorization because I had switched insurance carriers. Its a Friday night, yet Dr. Pilkington still makes the necessary phone calls to my pharmacy and insurance carrier so I can refill my prescription the same night!Her staff are also amazing, especially Tegan, who goes the extra mile as my aesthetician to clear up my skin and reduce acne scars through microneedling. I sometimes go in only once or twice a year, but she always remembers my treatment plan and our conversations!Look no further for your dermatologist and aesthetician.

Dr. Hale is wonderful. As an adult suffering from lifelong acne, I went to her feeling pretty dejected. She listened to my thoughts, concerns, and my long list of everything Ive tried to date with patience and compassion. She took the time to discuss my concerns with me and answer them with thoughtful answers. She had a discussion with me rather than a hurried prescriptive lecture. I was very impressed and appreciative of this; it is very rare in the medical world!She educated me on skin care as well as product and was sensitive to what I thought might not work because of previous experience. In honesty, what she advised me to do, outside of the skin care recommendations, is not that different from other doctors Ive seen, but her excellent bedside manner made me want to follow her recommendations despite previous experience.Ive followed her advice to the letter and am seeing improvements after only a few days. I havent visited a dermatologist in ~15 years, so booking an appointment for a general care check up with Azeal was a bit anxiety causing. The day of the appointment rolled around and everything went really smooth. Dr. Pilkington was warm and enthusiastic. Being new to the area, I was really nervous to start the process of finding a dermatologist that could help me with my adult acne and a recent eczema flare-up. After reading the reviews online that seemed too good to be true, I decided to give Azeal Dermatology a try. I am certainly happy that I did! Though I was only going in for acne and a rash, Dr. Hale did a full examination of my skin to make sure there were no other concerns. She was extremely thorough, answered all of my questions, and really took the time to make sure I was completely taken care of and fully understood everything we discussed. I never once felt like I was being rushed through the appointment at all, like tends to happen at so many doctors offices. I could tell Dr. Hale really cared about my treatment.Not only was the appointment great, but Dr. Hale went the extra mile to ensure that all of my prescriptions arrived in a timely manner and in as cost effective a way as possible, and even gave me enough samples to get started on my treatment right away. Also, I have been blown away by her responsiveness whenever I have a question, both via phone and email. A couple of questions I had emailed in were answered in less than 10 minutes! The dermatologist i worked with was knowledgeable, informative and had amazing bedside manner. I am disappointed with this clinic though because I was told that with my high dedutible insurance it would be a flat rate of $75 and then got +1 statement (>$200) over what I was originally quoted. I wish I would have been fully informed on the price during my appointment rather than being surprised by the multiple bills in the mail.

Wonderful office staff and wonderful doctor. Everyone is so sweet the Dr actually LISTENED to my concerns and my preference for no needles and non invasive treatments. She recommended a regimen of products and other treatments. I started using the products right away and theyre definitely working! Those fine lines and even my laugh lines are starting to fade. Even though I have to drive 45 min to get there, Id never consider any place else.

I visited this place a year a go for my son. The doc was terrible. she gave some over the counter sponsored products and nothing else. She did not even look close to him or at least I do not recall. I think she was terrible. I came here for the good reviews, which is suspicious why they have such a good reviews. I am highly disappointed.

While the entire staff is friendly, I doubt anyone can beat Dr. Jamie Hale. She has to be one of the kindest, most approachable doctors I have ever encountered. I almost wish my dermatological needs werent so basic I only have to check-in with her once or twice per year! Despite this infrequency, if ever I need anything, I need not worry about a long wait to get in if something comes up with my condition. Dr. Hale is the best dermatologist Ive ever had.

The staff called me multiple times to update my address after I had already updated it. It seemed disorganized and like there was little communication between staff members which was a bit frustrating. Dr. Hale was really nice, but she made me come in every several months to renew my prescription for mild acne which was really just so I’d have to pay for a visit. She didn’t even look at my skin.. literally nothing happened in those visits. I’ve since switched to a different dermatologist who only makes me come in once a year to renew my prescription and she’s great. I’m much happier now.

I had a marvelous experience with Nicki. She carefully evaluated the course of my treatment. She then went forward and gave me a derma planing treatment plus the European facial. Both were extremely relaxing.. After the treatments we were able to go over the products I needed to replace and the new products that would be beneficial.Along with it being a relaxing appointment there was an unhurried atmosphere.The facilities are bright, carefully decorated and warm.I was also able to meet Dr. Hale and that was a special treat.

I had a lump removed from my face, and Dr. Hale was friendly, kind, and very professional during the entire experience. Dr. Pilkington really is as good as the reviews say. I started coming here back when they only had maybe 10 reviews, and truly it’s unlike any other dermatologist office in the area. They don’t make you wait, you’re seen and your issues are addressed quickly. She actually listened to me when I told her what I had tried in the past, and instead of prescribing the same stuff as every other derm I’d seen, she came up with a completely different treatment plan that attacked my issue from different angles. Remember that for ongoing issues coming in for checkups is key. Good luck in your skin journey!

We have been coming to see Dr. Hale and Dr. Pilkington at Azeal since we moved out to #Colorado. My kids and I see Dr. Hale and I couldn’t be happier with the care we have received over the years. Visiting their office is a far cry from the typical experience we have had at other medical offices. All of our concerns have always been addressed very thoroughly and in a way that makes us feel like they really care about helping us. As an added bonus all our appointments have usually been on time, which is not typical in this profession. The dermatologists from this institution of horrible they take advantage of you if you have Medicaid and give you pointment after appointment refusing to give you better Alternatives and only give you what they want.They set up automatic appointments on your behave and call to confirm, if you dont answer they set the appointments up anyways and bill your insuranceI highly recommend that you do not go here!As I am still disputing charges on my insurance that I have no knowledge of or consent.

Im in my mid/late 50s (closer to the latter) and was concerned about a growth on the back of my neck that hasnt gone away after too many months...along with the usual aging concerns (darks spots, moles on the back that need a look, etc). Have never been to Azeal previously, but scheduled based on some positives reviews and proximity to home. Was NOT disappointed! If anything, I was very impressed with each encounter: The open dialogue and information shared about skin concerns, treatment (growth removal) from the time I walked into the door and the finish, and options to resolve some of the less important issues that have been on my mind...before exiting. Ive visited a couple of Dermatologists in the local area in the last several year--and had/have nothing impressionable to share about those visits online. Since I was extremely impressed with todays first visit to Azeal and Dr. Hales professionalism, along with her supporting staff, just want to share my experience with others in the area who might not be aware of this business--as I wasnt before searching and booking todays appointment.

The staff is amazing and got me in within a day (even though they were booked out for a month... the doctor came in early for me). And, honestly I got the best injection results Ive ever received with Dr. Pilkington. She recommended Dysport as opposed to Botox and Im so amazed at the result; and the cost was under $200 for 17 units which is incredibly competitive. If youre squeamish of needles at all, Azeal is great. They offer numbing cream, ice before injecting, and even give you little stress balls to squeeze. Ive never been offered pain reduction with injections, so I didnt use the lidocaine but it was pretty amazing that they offered it. I will be coming back for sure.

I am your average outdoorsman. I like anything that comes in camo. I work in the field and sometimes live in my truck for 6 months a year. Im lucky enough to earn a living hiking over 1000 miles a year. Biology is cool. When I finally noticed some thing on my face that wouldnt go away I ignored it. Dang thing kept coming back for over a year or longer. So I reluctantly decided to have it checked out. I havent seen a doctor in 15 years.I came to Azeal out of chance while visiting family in Gunbarrel. I grew up here and It just so happened to be the closest place. The super classy waiting room didnt deter me when I walked in, a Tim Allen grunt may have slipped out under my breath but I cant remember. I prefer man cave decor but I knew my wife would love the classy touch if she were with me so I remained steadfast. The friendly staff greeted me right away and Dr. Hale got me in and out super fast.Even though I live out of state my new dermatologist for life is now Dr. Hale. She was very intelligent, witty and has a great sense of humor. Dr. Hale looked at my face and explained why the pre-cancerous area kept coming and going. I was praised for catching it early and she treated the area right then and there. She recommended some OTC shampoo and I also got the 411 on the best sunscreen which I appreciated. Thanks Dr. Hale!
