I saw Dr Peterson for over 6 years. He initially diagnosed me with a few things and we tried various medications and treatments including 6 years of physical therapy. Eventually we exhausted all medications and I was still in constant pain and miserable. I constantly complained to Dr. Peterson of the pain I was in and he would tell me to move to California or that there was nothing he could do or hand me a jar of CBD cream. In the last few years he started his own hard cider company and I feel since then he was less attentive to me as a patient. He even tried on many occasions to offer me to purchase a bottle. I found this to be very unprofessional to be offering alcohol to a patient let alone one with an inflammatory illness. Towards the end of my experience with Dr. Peterson I mentioned to him about having seen a naturopathic doctor who thought I had hypermobility. I also mentioned that I had been experiencing dislocations/subluxation, stretchy skin and very mobile joints. I suggested that it might be Ehlers danlos syndrome and thats what set Dr. Peterson off. He became very angry and said theres no way you have that and started checking my joints and realized I was hypermobile and told me it was just benign hypermobility and there was no treatment or anything to be done and it was pointless to look into it. Ironically shortly after my appointment I got a call from the receptionist saying Dr. Peterson no longer takes my insurance. After that I found a new Rheumatologist at UW hospital and in my first initial appointment he diagnosed me with psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and hypermobility spectrum disorder(EDS), then I was referred to other specialists at UW who diagnosed me gastroparesis, central sensitization to pain, anxiety, depression, PTSD and somatic symptom disorder. Im not sure how a knowledgeable Rheumatologist could of missed all that in over 6+ years. Since seeing the amazing people at UW Ive made more progress in 6 months than I made in over 6 years under Dr. Peterson care. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment at UW hospital in Seattle. The doctors in the pain management clinic are amazing!2.5 stars do not recommend.

Exceptional Rheumatologist. He takes the time to listen and shows genuine concern and compassion as he addresses each of my concerns. Explains things in a way that I can understand and implement in my daily routine. I will continue to commute from the Kitsap Peninsula as long as he is in practice.

For years I was becoming more and more crippled. Every doctor said it was in my head. Well, he figured it out, slowed it down and I can walk with a cane. If you are about to give up remember there are doctors out there like Dr. Peterson. Dont give up!

I agree with Rosa! Dr. Peterson has kept me strong enough for 13 yrs to not just survive this diagnosis but to THRIVE despite my diagnosis. I’m so grateful!!!

My family doctor made a referral to Dr Peterson. It has been 3 weeks that I am trying to make an appointment and left several messages, but never received a call back. Last week I talked to their general admin and she said she would send a private message and the secretary should call me back the day after! One week passed and still no news! Dr, Jeff, unless you are okay with this, my recommendation is to replace them with some more responsible people!
