Every one is so kind and friendly here! Ive never had a bad experience. I was EXTREMELY nervous for my first dental procedure and Dr. Crank and his assistant were so kind and put me at ease. I cant recommend them enough.

The office is exceptionally clean and all safety protocols were followed. Dr Crank even installed a high quality air purification system that protects patients and staff from airborne viruses. Going to the dentist is rarely a pleasant experience, but Dr. Crank and his staff make it a breeze. They explain everything clearly, don’t force expensive treatment on you, and are always friendly. Their text system makes it easier easy to communicate.They had great COVID protocols in place, including an “air-vacuum” that sucks up particles you might’ve spit out.

Dr. Crank is a true professional and a class act. He took a lot of time explaining everything to me in simple terms that I could understand. I was visiting out from out of town and Dr. Crank wrote out a detailed report for my dentist back home and faxed it over to their office along with the X-Ray he took. His assistant was also very friendly and knowledgeable about what she was doing. I highly recommend their office.

Awesome outcome! Imagine this, its 1 a.m. in the morning, excueting pain in my lower jaw, relentless non stop pulsating pain. Hopeless, not knowing what to do in a town called Boone N.C. on vacation for a week with my family visiting from Sunny south Florida. Its my second day here. Researched dentist in the neighboring area only to find that at 1 a.m. in the morning I highly doubted ever getting in contact with a dentist. Well that wasnt the case with Dr Crank and his team at High Country Dentistry. There was a text option on their website. So i sent a desperate text for help. To my surprise I recieved a text saying be here at 8:30 a.m. I was relieved and hopeful. I hurried on over to their location in Bonne and was immediately taken in. My situation was somewhat unique, Ariel handled my out of state insurance, Lynda made my visit comforting and Dr Crank performed his talent. Shortly thereafter I was hiking the trials on grandfather mountain with my family with no pain. I am extremely happy with the team at High Country Dentistry. Dr Crank is highly skilled and has solved two challenging tooth problems. His staff got me in quickly, and he took care of my odd and difficult issues that were both cosmetic and functional. I hadnt seen a dentist in a while, and of course, one of my teeth started giving me trouble during a quarantine. I emailed their office on Saturday and they got back to me on Monday to schedule an appointment. My experience with Dr. Crank and his staff was the best dental experience Ive ever had. Very pleasant dentist visit. Everyone was professional, thorough, and welcoming. During Covid the office was made as safe as is possible, but it didn’t interfere with the quality of the visit or the personal attention in the least!

In the most of a pandemic HCD provided safe and healthy treatment for me as a high risk patient. First early morning appointment replacing a temporary filling with permanent one after an emergency root canal in March. Dr. Crank has spent the time planning and scheduling construction updates to his office to begin immediately 8n order to keep his patients and staff safe. He was very emphatic about doing what is necessary for safety for patients and staff. It is clear that he puts this as a priority for now and the future. I am grateful. Professional and efficient service with a courteous personal staff.

As a nurse I always appreciate good patient teaching. Dr. Crank saw some areas of concern and took the time to make sure I understood how to work on those areas correctly. My dental hygienist was very professional, did an excellent job making sure I was comfortable and at ease during the cleaning. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly.

I just moved to the High Country and was looking for a new dentist. I picked a random dentist off of Google because my last dentist was in Uganda and his office was in the Syrian consulate (he was also the Consul General) so I figured any dentist office would be a step up. So, I ended up at High Country Dentistry. First, I was at my appointment on time and was seen on time. It is great to have a dentist that knows how to keep appointments. Second, the hygienist was really professional, did a great job of cleaning my teeth, and went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Third, the dentist was also professional and took a bit of time to get to know me as a person and some of my particular dental concerns. Overall, High Country Dentistry is definitely one of the best dentist offices I have ever been to and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist.

I had a tooth break and called to have it looked at. Dr. Crank did a complete exam and talked to me about the tooth, including the cost of repair and urgency. Based upon my experience with several other dental practices, there is no comparison. Yes, the staff was professional, courteous, and helpful. The same can be said about other practices. Dr. Crank was to the point on every item he talked to me about, he didn’t do something and surprise me with a huge bill when I went to pay, (that has happened several time at other offices) and arranged it so that I could earn the money necessary to do the repair. He is a pro, of high character, integrity and truly a dentist I look forward to the next time I am in need of any dental work. From my prospective, this review is a 5 star, no question.

I’m so pleased with Dr. Crank and his team. I’ve been working on my teeth for well over a year and they have been nothing short of amazing. My experience was mostly cosmetic, Dr. Crank guided me through Invisalign and placed 2 beautiful crowns on my front two teeth. Everyone one was super welcoming and friendly! The lady that cleaned my teeth was super gentle and explained everything she was doing before she did it. I dread going to the dentist but this was a great experience! The doctor explained everything thoroughly and I plan on going back in 6 months for a check up!

Being at dentist isnt my favorite place to be, but is was long overdue. Seems like a good dentist office (only been twice) I do like everything being explained to me. Nice and friendly staff which is always a plus in any medical field. Will recomend to others.

Everyone hates going to the dentist. I am fairly certain even dentists hate going to the dentist. With that being said, Dr. Crank is great. I have been in the office 4 times in the last 9 months. Two cleanings, had a wisdom tooth yanked out and a couple fillings. Every visit I have had great service from the time I entered to the time I left. Front staff, dental techs and Dr. Crank are all great. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately we discovered I have my first cavity. But Dr. Crank really took the time to explain to me how it can happen and better ways to prevent more in the future. He was also really thorough and took the time to look at everything. He is certainly not one of those dentists that looks for two seconds and sends you on your way! I was terrified of going to a new dentist after having a terrible experience with one located out of state. Dr. Barkley is the most up to date dentist I have ever used. He has all the latest high tech equipment and all of his staff are courteous and professional.. The dental hygienist gives the most thorough exam I have ever had. The complete mouth cancer check is very comprehensive and I never had that before from a dentist. Dr. Barkley is so precise with all of his work. I definitely recommend High Country Dentistry.
