This place is amazing. The therapists are extremely knowledgeable, skilled, and friendly. They helped me so much with my neck and shoulder pain. Although PT isnt always fun, I can honestly say that I looked forward to my appointments at Athletico. I worked primarily with Kristin and she is an amazing therapist. I loved her evidence-based approach to PT. I also worked with Kelly and Erin a few times and they are great too. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Athletico! Everyone there is friendly and professional. They were able to get me in quickly and work with my schedule, and after my initial consultation I was completely confident in Kellys ability to help get my knee back to 100%. Six weeks later, I had completed my weekly physical therapy sessions and was given a regiment of exercises to perform at home to stay ahead of any further pain. I highly recommend Athletico to anyone who feels like pain is getting in the way of living their best life. (*Also, my health insurance did not cover my physical therapy and it was still very affordable, even paying out of pocket)

This is my second review, as I have worked with Athletico twice under separate circumstances.I had been experiencing some pain and limited motion in my shoulder, and I called to make an appointment when it wasnt improving. Instead of an appointment, they invited me for a FREE injury screening, during which their PT Steve Sapoznik pinpointed my problem, walked me through specially designed exercises to solve it, and printed off all the information I would need to take home, all within an hour and a half. I followed the game plan, and my shoulder was back to normal after just a week.Theres a reason this place only gets 5 star reviews!

Steve Sapoznik is a wonderful PT. He helped me fully recover from a very chronic tendon injury. I had begun to think it would never resolve. Steve is great with athletes and actively listens to patients. Bloomington is so lucky to have him.

I choose athletico after having a month of pain in my foot. I wasn’t able to walk a few steps without intense pain much less run, go for walks with my family, or do much activity around the house. The staff was amazing! Every person who works there makes you feel like you’re part of a family. They are all welcoming and want you to get back to doing everything you love. My PT was Steve along with Hannah, and they both were very knowledgeable. They always took time to answer my questions and give me a good plan.They are honest and upfront about not giving you any extra care than you actually need, and they’re invested in your care the entire time you’re there. In less than 6 weeks, I am feeling 100% better. I am so much stronger in many areas I didn’t realize were weak, and my foot pain is gone. It took less than 2 weeks to resume regular home activities pain free and 6 weeks to get back to running longer distances. I am so grateful to the staff at athletico Bloomington East , and I’ll definitely miss seeing their faces every week!

After one month of physical therapy with Erin Angle at Athletico East Bloomington, I can now return to my normal exercise routine. Thanks to Erin’s expertise, exercise program, and advice, my problem improved rapidly. I highly recommend Erin for anyone needing an excellent physical therapist.

I was referred for back and leg pain by IU sports medicine. Everyone I spoke to and worked with had the upmost compassion and patience while pushing me to work hard every appointment. Hannah really took the time to understand my pain and make a plan to make me feel better and stronger. I can’t thank you enough for your patience and respect all along the way.

Both the environment and the physical therapy were top notch. I felt like everyone there, even those who didn’t work directly with me in my physical therapy, were always extremely friendly and welcoming. Austin Gray did an excellent job helping me rehab, he was very personable and enjoyable to be around while still being very effective as a physical therapist. I can honestly say that I feel like going here twice a week not only helped me physically, but was also an enjoyable experience that I’m glad I had, even if the reason I was going was because I needed rehab after surgery.

Athletico East are amazing! They work around your schedule. My therapist was Austin Gray which is fantastic i might say. There isnt enough words to describe. I had two carpal tunnel surgeries in two months and one hand feels normal again already. The things these therapist do is wonderful and even during a pandemic! Thank goodness for them!! Any concerns and fears Austin always addressed them. Thanks Austin for being great.

I went after needing wrist surgery from a car wreck. Austin was incredibly helpful and understanding of my sensitivity and pain, and he helped me get back to playing guitar again, which I was worried I would never do. Everyone there has always been kind and sweet, and its clean and they take COVID-19 precautions seriously. I HIGHLY recommend coming here if you need any physical therapy as they are professional, helpful and kind.

I came to Athletico after suffering from a variety of hand, wrist, and forearm issues. When I started treatment, I was pessimistic about my recovery. Nothing else I had tried up to that point had worked, and my pain was only getting worse.I worked with Austin, their occupational therapist, and he was great every step of the way. He did an excellent job of listening and learning about my condition in order to create a personalized treatment plan for me. Through his plan, I saw real, quantified increases in my strength and flexibility each time I measured them. More importantly, my day to day pain has drastically reduced, and I have been able to get back to doing the things I love. The treatment I received completely turned my injury around and put me on the right track. It has also equipped me with all the tools I need to prevent injuries in the future. When it comes to hand/wrist/arm injuries, Austin is an expert!To add, the facilities are always clean, the staff are always friendly, and the environment is always positive. I had such a great experience here with Erin as my physical therapist! I tried so many different places to fix my back pain, but Athletico was the only one that actually worked! Erin was so great at giving me exercises that significantly strengthened my muscles and eased my pain by the end of my 6 weeks here, and I’d highly recommend her and Athletico in general for any physical therapy needs.

I love this Athletico and Im so grateful for their help in addressing my knee pain . Everyone, from the front staff to the aides to the physical therapists, are so friendly , helpful, and knowledgable.

Steve & his staff are absolutely amazing. I worked with Erin for 9 months with an extensive injury to my legs. She is very knowledgeable and great at what she does. I have been going to Athletico East for a few months now. I started out with Austin with a shoulder injury. He is very knowledgeable and would not let me slack off. While working with Austin I did a stupid stunt and had a sever spraied ankle, He modified my therapy to accommodate my ankle / foot injury and continued my shoulder work. The last 2 week of therapy for my shoulder i started therapy for my ankle with Kelley. I am still working with Kelley and getting better. I would recommend them to anyone needing therapy, they are very easy to work with and get you doing things you never thought you could do. They are both very understandable and listens to you, they both push you to your limits but not over. Everyone in the office make you feel welcome and at ease.

Erin Angle was awesome as my PT! She always listened to what my body needed and now I’m leaving feeling SO much better. Honestly could not recommend her and this facility enough! The staff is so great and friendly.

Athletico offers great care and really friendly, helpful staff! I saw Austin Gray for pain and cramping in my hand, which improved substantially in just a few weeks with Austins help. Appointments were convenient and flexible, and I always left feeling like I had made progress and knew what I needed to work on at home to continue improving. Ive worked with Steve and his team two separate times and in each set of visits, Ive found them to be outstanding. The facility is clean and well managed, the billing is correct and up to date, the hours are convenient and the people are fantastic. Steve and his team are always upbeat, and consistent in working as a team to ensure the highest quality of care for all. I cant imagine going anywhere else!!

I love the crew at Athletico East... everyone is so friendly and caring. My personal PT is Erin, which is awesome! She pushes me to do my best, and listens to all my concerns. She also laughs at my corny jokes and wacky sounds I make while working out the pain. lol

I had knee surgery recently. Steve and Erin have been facilitating my rehab. Steve, Erin, and all the east side staff have been great. I’ve seen Steve for the majority of my visits. He is very encouraging and I’ve been improving each week. I highly recommend!

I attend the East Side location and its the best PT experience I have ever had. I am quite old but am able to come in person because they have a separate room where I meet with my therapist after it is wiped down. Everyone is masked of course. All the therapists I have had (mostly Kelly) are extremely knowledgeable, creative, and fun to be with. They always brighten my day as well as help with my physical problems. I cannot thank them enough.

I have been to a few physical therapy places before Athletico. I can say without any doubt that this is by far the best place to go. Kristen and Ashley have been very helpful. The advice and tips given are accelerating my progress more than I would have thought was possible.

I had knee surgery and I’ve been coming to Athletico for about 4 weeks now. Absolutely love this place. Ive been to several PT places at this point and Athletico East is by far the best. I meet with Erin, Kristen, and Steve each once a week. I have a different experience with each one of them and theyre all great. They do a really good job of listening to your concerns and making sure that you’re progressing safely and steadily. They all push me to do my best and I appreciate it. They have a taxi service which, for a broke college kid with no car, is absolutely perfect. Athletico East is also really great about working with your schedule. Highly recommend it.

I visit this location multiple times per week and Steve and the rest of the staff are nothing short of great every time. Every employee seems genuinely happy to be helping you and are great at making new patients feel welcome! This location also has the best water in all of Bloomington! I would recommend this location to anybody.

I was very impressed with the knowledge and follow thru with my physical therapy. I was able to get back to my job and I am fully functional. I was also very impressed with how the staff was dedicated to keeping all areas of the office clean!! All equipment was wiped down when it was not being used anymore. I definitely felt comfortable going there for my therapy during these uncertain times.

I have been going to Athletico for about 4 weeks now and it Has been awesome. I tore my labrum and I am about 5 weeks into my rehab. The whole staff here has been very welcoming and make you feel right at home. I would highly recommend Athletico to anyone who is curious because they will absolutely give you an awesome experience!

Steve has worked with our entire family. He’s patient and teaches as he works with us. He’s been my biggest advocate with doctors as well. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I am a student at Indiana University and had to do physical therapy due to spine surgery I got over the summer. I have had physical therapy for a lot of other injuries prior to this but this has by far been the best experience. I can notice the difference and progress I have made specifically with Erin. I am being pushed to get better and learning different tools to do outside of physical therapy. The environment is great as well, everyone is super friendly and wants to help you get better.

I’ve been going to Athletico (East side of Bloomington) for several weeks now for a shoulder injury. I have to admit I was intimidated when I walked in, everyone seemed to know each other, but the reality is, you get welcomed into the fold immediately. By my second appointment everyone was greeting me by name and cared about how I was doing. I’ve been working with Erin, and she is an amazing physical therapist: professional, knowledgeable, friendly, motivating. And to be honest, after seeing how the other therapists work with their patients, I’d be happy to work with any of them too. As happy as I am to be feeling better, I’m a little sad to be finishing up my PT next week because I actually look forward to going to Athletico.

Professional, personalized, result oriented sessions accelerated my recovery from a knee revision at 61. Erin monitored every exercise to detail and instructions were clear. From warm up to ice down, I enjoyed each visit. Progress has been exciting and encouragement from every staff member has been so much appreciated. Outstanding performance on all levels.

Steve, Erin, and the whole A. East team are solid individuals who know what they’re doing. I’ve been in and out of the clinic as a patient, PT shadow, and friend for the last couple years. I was trying to rehab my hamstring for D1 level football and Steve was able to get me into that shape, by simply doing what he implemented in to my progressive rehab plan. If you’re an athlete, someone who slipped and fell or anything in between; Athletico will more than take care of your needs and get you healthy. I know what it’s like to be skeptical of clinics.. I was dissatisfied with 3 clinics BEFORE finding Athletico East. No need to worry. You’re in good hands here.

I have been working with Steve and his team for about 5 years—since before the east clinic even opened—and I can’t recommend them highly enough. I have chronic pain issues, and he and his staff are always happy to adapt my visits to whatever seems to be hurting on any given day. The other PTs at the clinic, Erin and Kristen, are also great—everyone is super-helpful, kind and patient. Austin, who does OT, is also very helpful for when I need help with upper body issues, especially with my hands and wrists. Lyndsey at the desk keeps everything running smoothly, and she is very knowledgeable about the workings of insurance, which of course can be very complicated and stressful for everyone involved. The atmosphere is also really fun. I know you wouldn’t immediately think of fun when you think of a place that offers medical services, but the PTs and other staff members keep the mood light and social. Also, the location is great. I often park at Kroger and walk over to Athletico so I can pick up groceries at the same time as my PT visit. All in all, if you need a physical or occupational therapist in Bloomington, no matter what the issue, you owe it to yourself to check out Athletico Bloomington East. They will work with you to make a personalized plan of care that fits your unique needs. Again, I can’t recommend them highly enough.

This has been the best physical therapy experience. Ive been to various clinics around the country over the years and have never had an experience like this. Steve and the whole crew at Athletico East have always listened to my concerns. The techniques they used have completely changed my ability to function in daily life. I cant say enough good things about this clinic. All of the staff are friendly and clearly care about their patients. Id give them 100 stars if that was an option.

Ive been to see Steve for running related injuries twice within the past two years, with about 4-6 visits each time for the rehabilitation process. I was referred there the 1st time by other runners who had been to see him, and he got me from not running a single step to running 60 miles a week again. Going to see him a 2nd time was a no-brainer. He and his staff are excellent and make everyone feel welcome. Ive never had an issue getting scheduled with him; he always seems to find time in his schedule at a time that is most convenient to me. And if Steve isnt available, the other PTs that work there are fantastic as well!

It’s a very welcoming atmosphere! The staff are all kind and attentive, frequently checking in on my progress. I appreciate the community within the establishment and the professionalism displayed (while still being fun!)

I actually have never patronized their services, but am the manager of a company contracted to provide transportation for their clients who arent able to provide their own. (They are not providing me any incentive to write this review, I am doing this of my own volition after hearing how well they have treated a personal friend.) Not only are they a pleasure to work with business-to-business from their local branches to their administrative team, but every client of theirs that I have driven has spoken so highly of the team there across the board from how they interact with their clients to the healing services they provide. I have never heard a single bad thing from even one of their clients that Ive driven, and I have driven so many. They all seem to genuinely love their time spent there, and that is high praise considering how difficult and taxing physical therapy can be. If you are looking for physical therapy, they are absolutely who I would recommend, and I wish Id known about them when I was going through therapy myself. Really cannot recommend enough, just a top-notch business and team.

Kristen was my main physical therapist, but I also worked with the other PTs + staff and they were all stellar. No cookie cutter therapy/exercises. The therapy was based on my individual needs and they worked closely with me and really listened to my concerns, goals and feedback. I liked that I got to work with a PT each visit. I had a partial knee replacement and my knee was bending at 135 degrees by 2 months post surgery. I couldnt have done it without the Athletico team on the East side. Thank you!

I could not think of a better place to recover from my ACL reconstruction. Everyone hopes that having a knowledgeable staff would be a given. This is true here but not everywhere. The thing that puts this into five star category is the staff and how personable and welcoming they are. Additionally, it can be difficult for active duty military personnel outside of military concentration areas. This front staff has worked with TRICARE and made it possible for me to have treatment there. I would encourage everyone that needs treatment to come to this Athletico facility.

Dont waste your time. With any other place, youll be sorry. That you missed out on going here. I should have started with them. I love all the staff. That is hard to find at one place. Maybe Im hard to get alone with, who knows really. They genuinely care for you. Lifting your spirit is easy to them, because its natural. They are relaxed here. Theyre not pushy to try to get you to do things. That are not necessary. Nor do they try to get you to spend more time there. So that they get paid more. Thats what was happening. I worked with Lori Grandy for OT due to a work injury! She was wonderful! The exercises had me back to work without restrictions in about a month! The staff overall is friendly! The building is nice and clean!
