Had a defibulator installed almost three months ago. It was implanted under my arm versus my chest. I was misinformed about the size and location of this device. I have continous pain all the time when lifting my left arm up, laying down, or sitting back. Everything I do pushes it into my ribs which makes sleeping or sitting next to impossible. I highly do not recommend this device but it was sold to me as a much better option for my age. If I had been informed that it was over 3X the size I was originally told I would have never agreed. I informed the doctor of a right torn rotator cuff that never healed. I now have to sleep on my right side which has made my previous injury unbearable too. I am planning on having it removed this winter due to the continuous pain. According to my doctor I am not the first person wanting this done, however, he said I would be the first to follow through with the removal. The operation was extremely painful (no medication for that) when sent home the same day. I would definetly look around before going with the first doctor that is chosen for you! Definetly insist on the defibulator that goes into your chest versus under your arm.

Not impressed at all...
