I dont normally leave reviews but my last visit reminded me of how great the service is here! Ive been getting my prescriptions filled here for years and the staff has always been very helpful and professional. I will continue to come here.

Agree about the rude person answering the phone! I have used this place for years and have always had excellent service from very polite people. Not today. I call to check on a prescription and the woman on the phone cut me off and said she would transfer me to the pharmacist if I settled down? I was just asking about the status of my prescription.Perhaps they need new people on the phone. Obviously this is not an isolated incident!

Ive been ordering a solution from this pharmacy for our clinic for years. The service has always been subpar, but recently its managed to get even worse. One of the female employees was rude and argumentative with me the last time I called to check my order status. I tried to explain to her that I was the costumer; I hoped that would help her regain some level of professionalism. Unfortunately, her lack of professionalism continued.

This place is the best. I have found them to be very nice. I have been going here for five years. My compound is difficult to make and they do a excellent job . I would recommend this pharmacy to everyone and anyone .Mike R

I dont normally write reviews, but the lady who answered my call to fill a prescription was very rude and made it very hard to communicate what I needed. When they finally figured out to ask me my name to find my prescription, she told me the total without asking my insurance information because generally it isnt covered. Not a great experience at all.

I started using Bloomington Drug after my local Walgreens stopped making compounding prescriptions. Very few pharmacies are willing to provide actual pharmacy services any more so I highly appreciate Bloomington Drug providing this much-needed service. Never had a problem like what some other reviewers have described either - they have always been nothing but courteous and prompt in filling and mailing my prescription.

Two stars because only once of the five times having to deal with this business, have I had a semblance of adequate customer service. I assume that is the same person anyone else reviewing this place as well, dealt with. From clearly not caring what I am even saying to flat out not filling the prescription, TWICE, I dont know how anyone would want to go to work there, being so miserable and not doing much but being apathetic and repellant on the phone. Happy to take my business elsewhere.

Had a frustrating experiencing getting my and my spouse’s scripts filled here. If it were just one time it would seem like an accident but there seems to be a thorough lack of communication between any of the staff. When I call to ask basic questions about the my prescriptions, the staff will give different answers depending on the day. Other times they will say they do something for you or call you back and then not. Save yourself the hassle and find a more competent pharmacy. My recommendation is Lloyd’s Pharmacy.

After reading some of these reviews I realize that customer service here is just as horrible for others as it has been for me. In the 4 months I’ve gone here it has never been an easy process to fill a prescription. Last month they said they would mail it to me and after a week of waiting I called to find that no one had actually filled it and had to go pick it up. They were not apologetic or empathetic or filled with any sort of urgency. This month after waiting several days again I called and was told they have tried to contact the vet for authorization and no one would return their call. Funny that I was able to take care of it in a matter of minutes. I was told by the vet that they had never been contacted and that I should have 5 refills. The women on the phone flat out lied to me. I hope people are choosing to go somewhere else instead of risky their lives with these people. Worst company I have dealt with in years. This isn’t fun and games it’s you and your family’s health!!! Unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never again!!!

Great little gem. Tons of gifts and unique items. Fun to just browse or find a special gift for someone, jewelry, candy, chocolates, personalized mugs, lots of cards, clothes...you name it. Staff is helpful. Sometimes takes some time to checkout as they also run a pharmacy but Ive never had a bad experience here. Great place.

I started using this pharmacy after years with Walgreens and CVS. What a difference! When you call, you get a live person instead of a never-ending robo lecture about COVID policies, opening hours, and other things you didnt ask for, so your call takes 2 minutes instead of 15. Then they post your prescription to you so you dont have to spend half an hour sitting in a drive-through line. It saves me two hours every month to use Bloomington Drug instead of Walgreens, and it feels good to support a local family-owned business instead of a giant corporation.

One of the few compounding pharmacys around. The staff is wonderful. You can tell they care for their customers. Not like the big chain stores where the staff changes all the time. The prices are excellent. They have some nice and out of the ordinary things in the gift shop.

Cannot say enough good things about this place! Which is an odd statement now a days. It has become normal to receive bad customer service everywhere you go it seems. First of all this pharmacy was the only place that would specially compound a medication for the exact amount my cat needed. Further they did it for a very reasonable price! To beat that when I told them it would be difficult for me to pick up the medication as I live an hour or more away from Bloomington they offered to mail it free of charge. Better yet when I call they have all my info saved and all I have to do is say the Rx # and they say all set and I receive it in two days or less!! The icing on the cake for me is no matter who answers the phone there they are the nicest, most accommodating, and cheerful people on the planet. Thank you, thank you, thank you Bloomington Drug for showing the world customer service is alive and well, as so are manners!!!!!! Keep up the good work!

A fun old-school drugstore experience in the heart of Bloomington. Obviously the pharmacy is the main draw here, but there are a fair amount of greeting cards, miscellaneous gifts, office supplies, mailing supplies, etc. You can certainly find some cutesy kitschy items here, but there isnt much here that couldnt be found elsewhere.... Theres no real reason to go out of your way to visit here.

Used to love shopping here for greeting cards, etc, but now they carry so many scented gift items I can’t even be in their store because of the perfumed scent in the air. I wish stores would realize many people have become sensitive/ allergic to all of the scents that are all around us, now !

Just left the store. I checked online for their hours before going over there. Google said closing at 6pm on Saturday. The door is locked and it says on the door closes 5pm on Saturday. I did check their actual website after this and they notify of business hour changes. As many people use the google one as it gives reviews and directions you might want to get that information updated. ( I actually was able to change the closing hour for Saturday on google.)

I used to love this place. It was a go-to location for neat gifts. Recently, they rearranged and revamped things. I simply cannot get my head around why they made the changes they did. The stock and layout leaves much to be desired now.

Friendly and fun gifty things, but very overpriced on OTC things.

My vet sent a compounded prescription to them for my cat. I called and spoke with the pharmacy and they told me they would have it ready the following morning. I showed up the next morning and waited for a half an hour while the pharmacy techs argued with another patient about not being able to fill his prescription, speaking loudly enough for other patients to hear personal details. They then informed me that my cats compounded med wasnt ready and that they didnt have any staff available that could get it ready. They told me that they would call me when it was ready and that it should be available the following day. It took them a whole 3 WEEKS to call me again. Naturally, Ive already gotten my cats meds somewhere else as this is absolutely unacceptable.

I love Bloomington Drug! The staff is great and its always decorated cute for holidays! Great place to shop for gifts while Im picking up a prescription.

Very upset I just left the store its closed I spoke with someone from the pharmacy and she never once mention oh hey by the way we changed our hours we are now open until 8pm instead of 9pm nope so I work 12 hours get off of work have to run home then drive out to your store which time takes me an hour Depending on traffic to find out that you closed at 8pm I even looked up your hours online before I left my house and it says open 8am to 9pm so not only did I just waste a lot of my gas and time I did not get to eat dinner with my kids or put them to bed this is unacceptable I think if you are gonna change your hours of operation you should be telling your customers especially if you are the ones contacting them. Im very upset so thank you for ruining my night and wasting my time, gas and money!

The gifts here are fantastic-theres something for everybody. Also, their compounding services are second to none.

Jeff is great, but the front desk staff are often rude, except for Taylor. Ive had the front desk people roll their eyes at me when I ask a question. We asked if our meds were ready, and the staff said no, that Jeff wasnt there for several days, our meds are compounded. We had to pay triple the price at a different pharmacy. Then we found out that our meds were ready! Unless we talk to Taylor, the front desk employees are useless. They also charged $5 to mail our meds to us. We werent told anything about that charge and werent expecting this.

Edit: I bumped this place up to four stars (from two) because Ive been able to deal exclusively with Tiffany and Matt recently, who are both very helpful and friendly. Still not 5 stars because the front desk folks are often unpleasant, but as long I can continue communicating with the two nice/knowledgeable employees there, Ill keep using this pharmacy.Original review: Overall unprofessional and disorganized, would recommend going elsewhere. Ive tried to voice my concerns with this place but there never seems to be a manager on duty or available to talk.In fairness, the compounding pharmacist (Matt) is great, and so is Tiffany (also a pharmacist, I believe, but not sure)--helpful, knowledgeable, nice. If I could deal solely with them I would have glowing reviews of this place, but unfortunately thats not the case.Most everyone else Ive interacted with in the pharmacy (on the phone, particularly) falls somewhere between useless and straight up rude. Ive seen the front desk pharmacy staff be really rude to a number of customers in person, especially elderly customers.

Great prices, non-chain pharmacy who actually talk to customers.

Nice small town kind of pharmacy, great service, good prices when we werent covered by insurance.
