My daughter went to see her primary care Nurse Practitioner for excessive bleeding while urinating and severe pain from that region. She was referred and instructed to see her OBGYN to see if it was something specific. After making the appointment the Nurse Practitioner at this facility refused to give any exam or test and prescribed antibiotics for a Kidney and UT infection. After a week she is not feeling any better and now this office will not see her again without another referral from her primary care provider. Is this the type of indifference and in my opinion incompetence IU Health allows?

I saw Elizabeth McDaniel CNM which was fine because I made the appointment for a Pap smear which Medicare had sent me an e-mail saying I was eligible for. When I arrived I filled out the paperwork work saying the purpose of my appointment was to get a Pap smear test. Ms McDaniel told me I was too old and didn’t really need the test. She said Medicare wouldn’t pay for it. Instead I was billed $142 for my “new patient preventative medicine evaluation over 65” which Medicare refused to pay for. Since I’ve had breast cancer, I wanted a Pap smear. I sent a letter to the office explaining my situation, but got no response. I won’t bother this office again.
