I was VERY UNHAPPY with quality of care, poor communications, no diagnosis, difficulty scheduling appointments. After a near fatal.car accident in which crushed my chest on 12/2/20, I awoke in IU Health Bloomington Hospitals Cardiac Trauma ICU. Where I was diagnosed with Arterial Fibulation. I requested follow up with Dr Rink, but got Dr. Peterson, finally in March 2021. She read my charts, without listening to my caregiver or I & had an EKG done in her offuce,. We explained Id had a recent sleep study done & I might have sleep apnea an additional study was required. Also, my Neurologist wanted an additional MRI done as it was suspected Id had a stroke. Dr. Peterson, told us on a Thursday, she wanted both done before placing a heart monitor on me for thirty days. The MRI was already scheduled for the following Tuesday. Dr Petersons staff still scheduled my appt, knowing these tests were not done. When my caregiver wheeled me to this office the following Tuesday morning, we discovered my appt was not with Dr. Peterson to have this heart monitor placed, but with RN Leslie. She led us to a tiny room that wheelchair would not fit in. Nurse Leslie pushed my caregiver aside as I was rising to use my cane. RN Leslie then had me back up to the only chair in the room & told me to so down. Such negligence! I had no way of knowing I was not aligned with an armless chair and fell headlong into the door frame. Smashed my head, shoulder, neck, rt arm & fingers against an open doorframe and my body twisted as I was falling smashing my left knee against the marble like cabinets, where Nurse Leslie was facing. It took me 3x of telling Nurse Leslie to get my caregiver(whom she intentionally & dangerously separated from me) to even get off the floor! My experience here ended with just a CT scan at SIRA next door, because an OBVIOUS LARGE BUMP WAS PURPLE AND RISING ON MY FOREHEAD. My caregiver wheeled me to the door while she pulled her vehicle up. Who should come running from the building in the rain? Nurse Leslie! She slapped monitor sideways on me through the car window, in the rain, threw in the box and said Its all explained in here. I WAS NOT GOING BACK TO A PLACE THAT HAD PHYSICALLY HURT ME, as bad as my auto accident! Due to their employees disrespect of my caregiver and negligence, I had to be taken from my home in an ambulance the next day. I still have no answers to the issues with my heart and remain in mortal peril due to Artial Fibulation.
