My 3yr old daughter had a procedure done there today, this staff was absolutely fantastic. They was very professional, and polite. They made not only my daughter feel absolutely completely comfortable, they made me comfortable. They told me everything I needed to know from what will happen before, and after. They was so helpful being 9months pregnant they made sure to help me in any way possible, they all comforted my daughter, till I was able to hold her. Absolutely amazing staff. Thank you for everything you did for us today.

Our son came in for a T&A removal. The front desk staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The nurses we had before and after the surgery were calming, informative, and really made all of us feel good about the surgery. Dr. Russell and Dr. L (anesthesiologist) were wonderful. They explained everything to Cooper in terms that he could understand and answered his questions. The entire experience was amazing, and everyone went above and beyond our expectations!! Thank you!

The nurses seemed clueless about proper care procedures and confusing COVID-19 policies which were sporadically enforced by the staff. Our child recently had a surgery performed at the location by Dr. Kolb in which he did an exceptional job. After being admitted and filling out the forms necessary, I had noticed that other patients and visitors were not required to wear any sort of mask. When our group arrived early, we were met at the door with new masks provided by the facility and told that we had to wear them yet when I questioned the reasons why other groups were not wearing their masks and the staff did not provide them, we were very confused. The front desk attendant refused to provide any information about why our group was required to wear masks and others were not. The only explanation I could think of was that our group had members which were of Asian ethnicity and the other groups were not. I do not enjoy being profiled in such a manner. Another point of contention is their policy on coronavirus testing such is to say nonexistent at least from what our nurse told us. She informed us that they did not need to be and were not being tested routinely until a employee showed symptoms. Well, that’s too late in my opinion. The nurse became somewhat rude and spoke to us in a combative manner. Their advice on the prescriptions given was also vastly different than that of our doctors. Anyway, I will not return to this facility in the future if any member of my family or myself has to have a procedure that involves outpatient surgery.

Very friendly staff. Always very busy place. They always call the next day to check on you to make sure you are feeling well. If you have a need for their services many times like my husband and I do, this is the place to go! (If only the doctors could stay on time.) lol😀.

Make sure you confirm your health insurance considers this facility in-network or out-of-network. My April 11, 2018 pre-surgical documents I signed with a nurse at my physicians office (Dr. Robert Russell) stated Ireland Grove Surgery Center only performs in-network surgeries, and that they would get coverage approved. I called my insurance co with the surgical code for tonsil removal, but did not need pre-approval. Three weeks later, I once again called all parties involved - Ireland Grove Surgery Center, Dr. Robert Russell, and Aetna Insurance - the day before surgery to make sure everything was ready to go and was covered. No issues. To my surprise a couple months later, Aetna Insurance said Ireland Grove Surgery Center was OUT-OF-NETWORK. Ultimately, none of the surgery went toward my annual out-of-pocket costs. Even though Ireland Grove reduced a large amount of surgery costs, I still had to pay out $2000 more to other providers because this surgery was considered out-of-pocket. This did not count toward in-network provider annual costs. BUYER BEWARE and get your coverage of surgery in writing from ALL parties involved - pathology, anesthesiologist, medical doctor, surgery center, etc. - before surgery. Make sure to ask and clarify whether it is in-network or out-of-network and KNOW how much you will owe all parties. I sadly believed I had it all taken care of before surgery. Protect yourself and your money.

I had endoacopic sinus surgery and a left ear tube in yesterday by Dr. Lee. The entire staff from the time I went in until the time I left was phenominal. They explained answers in detail to questions I had before and after. And the after care was great. Today i went for follow up appt and my nose is 100%! No more sinus and face fullness and i can breathe!! Still need time for ear tube to settle in but that was expected. I would highly reccomend this surgi center!
