Dr. Ditkoff is a fantastic ophthalmologist. I have been going to him for over 15 years and he always does a great job of taking care of my vision. His staff is fantastic also.

I had an appointment today at 4:30 with Dr. Conroy. I left my job early at 4:10 to be on time for my appointment. I watched someone sign in at 4:40 saying they had an appointment at 4:45 with Dr Conroy. Ten minutes later she was called in. I didn’t say anything at that point because I figured I’d be called next even though my appointment was first. Waited almost one hour before I asked when I would be called. The woman at the desk said should be soon. I had a previous engagement and could not wait any longer. Have been a patient for about 20 years but will not be back. Total disregard for my time.

I’m so happy to finally find a doctor who listens, that is attentive and explains everything thoroughly. Definitely a great doctor and really makes you feel at ease. Gives me hope that there are still doctors who enjoys their practice and gives great service! Dr. Ditkoff you are one of a kind. Look no further this office will provide you what you need and more

Dr. Gould is excellent, as is the other doctor Ive seen there and the technicians and other staff. HOWEVER, not to detract from their rating, the pace of the office is excruciatingly SLOW. Every time it has taken 2-3 hours to actually see the doctor and get back out the door.

Dr Ditkoff is a consummate professional, but he also is a very down to earth and likable person. He is very thorough and courteous, and he explains your condition in terms that you can understand. His office staff is great too! I just can’t say enough good things about him and his office. If I could give him 10 stars I would!!

Dr. Ditkoff , Dr. Geoletti , and Dr. Gould are very patient, understanding, and helped me through this process my uveitis. I highly recommend them.

Dr Gould is truly a wonderful and compassionate doctor. He is an expert in glaucoma and glaucoma surgery. He is a busy doctor so prepare to wait a little but he does perform a thorough exam and takes time to answer your questions. Highly recommend!

The doctors and the staff are great, buy the waiting time is always a problem -- so much so that we have considered changing doctors even though we truly like the doctors here. We have never waited less than 30 minutes in the front waiting area. An entire checkup takes at least an hour, sometimes two hours. In all that time, a doctor might spend only a few minutes with the patient. On this visit, there were eight people seated in the waiting area when I arrived -- it was impossible to social-distance. The staff did their best, and remained polite and helpful, but were still considering changing doctors to a practice with less wait time.

Dr. Gould, was very patient and understanding. Went in with an emergency and was seen same day. The entire clinic was nice and understanding. Will tell my friends and family about this place.

Both Doctors were thorough in their examinations and answering my questions. And I didn’t have to wait for hours to se the Drs. Overall a pleasant visit.

My experience at Dr. Goulds office was excellent overall. I felt confidant and pleased that I was receiving top notch care. The wait times between each step of the examination were a bit lengthly but I think this is common with most health care organizations these days given the pandemic and shear volume of patients needing treatment. Good Experience and wouldnt hesitate to recomend Dr. Gould to others.

I had a great experience today with Dr. Ditkoff and staff. He was calming and reassuring on his diagnosis and how it was going to resolve. He took his time to listen and provide great insight as to what steps I needed to take place . The technician was also great and very friendly . One last note , the receptionist LIZ was extremely nice in fitting me into the schedule and working out the best appointment suitable for me as I had a busy work week. As I arrived, she greeted me and was extremely attentive which is hard to find nowadays at doctors offices. 5 stars hands down!

This is a first rate, quality, eye care center. And for a variety of reasons. From check in, with the staff at the front desk, who are courteous capable and sympathetic to your needs, to the technician staff who administer some of the more routine eye exam tests/ procedures, to check out. All my experiences are very pleasing. Most importantly, Dr Gould is a compassionate man, with astoundingly impressive educational credentials. He doesn’t rush you, and always takes the time to fully answer and/or allay any concerns you may have. Very intelligent in his chosen field!

My mom is a patient of Dr Ditkoff and has been going to the Bloomfield Eye Care Center for the last 3 years. The doctors are very professional, caring and patient. The staff is also very good and they took the time to call my mom back on numerous occasions when she had questions or concerns during the time of her eye issues. The wait in the office is not long at all and they do all they can to get you in as soon as possible. The Eye care center gets a five star rating for everything !!!!!

Very disappointed with the service of elders and black Americans. It says senior discount on the door so who do you expect your clients to consist of? The secretaries seem to be unequiped to properly deal with any imperfect situation. If they happen to become that disrespectful to others in the future, it could result in serious problems. They told my grandma that she was becoming belligerent because she let them know of a fault that one of their secretaries did.

Taken to exam room at the time of my appointment. The staff was friendly and expert in their duties. Dr. Gould is a wonderful physician. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and personable.

My grandfather is a patient of Dr.Gould, so Im filling this out on his behalf... The day of his last appointment I was unable to attend the visit with him... I called the office and explained to them that he was arriving by the transportation service.. they reassured me that they will try to get him in and out by his pick up time..& THATS EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID..Josephine and Alexis were so helpful and went above and beyond to help me with my grandfather.. Alexis even called me to tell me he was pickup by the transportation service.. My Grandfather is happy with Dr.Gould and his staff.

Some of the staff are rude and disrespectful. This is not incorporating all, however, yesterday’s experience was most unpleasant

Dr Conroy is terrific. Thorough and helpful. Support staff fine. Typically a fairly long wait but during COVID there was no wait and everything moved quickly. Out in an hour when it typically takes at least 90 minutes.

The staff is very friendly and professional. Dr Gould is very patient and caring. I can’t remember the female doctors name that did the annual exam but she was awesome. It’s important to have people skills when working with people. And I highly recommend this office for your next eye appointment.

Dr Jon Ditkoff is a total pro. He is extremely knowledgeable, but talks in terms any patient can understand. He makes you feel relaxed throughout the whole exam. The support staff at Eye Care Center are also top notch and friendly. I always feel confident when I visit Dr Ditkoff and Eye Care Center of NJ and I heartily recommend them and trust them with my eyesight.

Excellent team. Highly recommend. Kathy and Renee were very helpful in getting me ready for my cataract surgery. Drs Ditkoff and Gould are very kind and patient, not hurried. They answered all my questions and Dr Gould even showed me a problem on the picture of my retina. He seemed very concerned about getting me the best intraocular lens for my eye.

Always have a great experience for my yearly appointments. Staff are friendly and helpful and I get seen pretty quickly even when I had to make emergency eye appointments. Dr. Ditkoff is amazing.

Thomas Conroy is great, but I did have to wait 30 min before being seen. I gave 3 stars due to wait and continued front office issues. The issue is always around benefit coverage, which took over 10 minutes to resolve this time. It turns out that staff had a wrong birthdate causing staff to say I did not have coverage with a insurance carrier. Office staff also claims that they tried to contact me the day before to say insurance issue. I had no call history or voicemail from office. Last year I also had issue with front office regarding insurance coverage saying they would charge me dramatically (to be paid up front) more if my insurance did not cover a procedure. They also wanted to go through my medical insurance, instead of using my vision insurance for an eye exam. I threatened to find new provider last year, but decided to give another chance since family has been using this practice for a number of years and like the service providers/ doctors in office. The front office staff is giving the practice a bad image, in my opinion. Also at 12:50pm when I walked in there were at least 10 people in waiting area... making social distancing very difficult. I will say Dr Conroy was very vigilant about sanitizing equipment and hands during exam.

Eye Care Center of NJ was very lucky to snag this office into their group as they are extremely professional. Thankfully, they also brought in Dr. Lee Angioletti, who is a renowned retina eye doctor in the tri-state area. The office team is very efficient and caring, making it a pleasure to come here for my eye problems.Unfortunately, i had to wait almost 2 hours to get seen. Unacceptable and very poor customer service to their patients. Drastic improvements are needed.

The doctors and medical staff here are very good. It’s unfortunate that front desk admins are such consistent failures. There are at least 6 people behind the glass at desks, yet you will wait a while every time you walk in to get your temperature taken before you can walk up to the check-in desk. This leads to crowding in a tight area at the vestibule. Today’s staff didn’t even have a mask on when she took my temperature.Then once you get up to the check-in desk, be prepared for a woman who still doesn’t know how to use the credit card machine to take your co-pay. Months I’ve been coming here and she still can’t figure this out.Then certain people who walked in AFTER you get to stay in the waiting room while you, now 20 minutes late for your appointment, are told to wait outside. Sometimes you wait and they must stand outside. No logic to it, doesn’t matter if there are 2 people in the waiting area or 12, older/younger, etc.My Dr. works out of other locations that are further away. I’m going to try those because Bloomfield is not worth it.

This is a follow up to a review that I posted yesterday but is no longer showing up today and I believe it was ERASED by the practice. After visiting Dr. Ditkoff and being completely turned off by the treatment I observed him display towards some of his staff members while in the office on March 17, 2021. I felt the need to share the outcome.I had to end up following up with my primary Doctor yesterday since my symptoms had progressed and I am so THANKFUL that I did. I was diagnosed with an abscess in my (R) eye and an infection as well. Totally off from what Dr. Ditkoff diagnosed with me. He simply told me I had dry eyes and handed me a sample of sterile water eye drops to correct it!With my current problem these sterile drops would have done ABSOLUTELY nothing to treat the abscess nor clear the infection.I am now being aggressively treated with oral antibiotics for the next 14 days and an Erythromycin Ointment which is inserted into the eye 6 times a day. And just to think that I paid a copay to a Doctor that totally misdiagnosed me and my insurance company is going to pay for it is totally absurd. I honestly think that I would have received the proper care from Dr. Ditkoff that day,HAD HE NOT been being rude toward staff members, talking about them behind there back while in front of a patient and paying more attention to the problem at hand.

I was seen by dr julianna sher. She was very professional and patient. She was thorough, and persistent until she got the correct adjustment for my prescription. My vision is a little tricky and my glasses were made incorrectly. I think dr sher got it right. Hopefully the glasses will be made to order.

Very smooth check in, a bit of a wait, but courteous staff and trained , adept staff and very expert physicians. Bring your own reading for the waiting room though. Magazines a bit scarce. Syndicated and Raul are terrific assistants.

Dr. Gould is amazing! I just had a chalazion removal yesterday and him and his nurse were great. The surgery took about 10-15 mins and went smoothly. Minor discomfort and slight swelling as expected. Highly recommend Dr. Gould!

Dr Ditkoff is a consummate professional. Every aspect of this visit starting with the way I was greeted, to the vision test and finally the retinal exam by Dr Ditkoff himself was world class-thoroughly knowledgeable and exceedingly affable with exemplary bedside manner. The on-premises optical shop has a thoughtful collection of frames for men, women and kids as well.

Dr Ditkoff was very attentive and efficient. Friendly. He relieved my concern about my condition and gave me options as to how to treat it at home prior to filling an antibiotic prescription, which I appreciated. What I did not like was that when I went to the checkout window, the staff person asked what the prescription was for and the duration of the pills. I did not remember the actual name of the prescription medication and thought that that fact should not have been left up to me.

The doctor himself (Ditkoff) is nice enough, but every time I’ve been there the waiting time is outrageous (at least 45 minutes). The waiting areas are not COVID-19 distancing properly (after a temperature scan at the door, you still have to sign in with shared pens near other patients, the chairs are not 6ft distanced, no one enforces the distancing in the common areas, there are no one-way indicators in the halls, nor are patient times staggered to avoid congestion). The cloth chairs are not disinfected between patients, patients are not offered to wait in the car consistently, and the staff does not consistently wear masks in their areas). If they genuinely cared about patient health, they would clean up their act! I will not be returning.

I have been a patient for several years and happy to return. Dr Gould is very professional and runs a great office. I am ushered through the annual exam without issue, efficiently and courteously. Happy to recommend him!

I wanted to get my eyes checked here and unfortunately I had to cancel the appointment hours after because of the rudeness and attitude on the phone that didn’t sit well with me. The tone and attitude you get to make the appointment is ridiculous. I ain’t paying no one for a big attitude. Very rude staff
