They were so friendly and caring. They made me feel very comfortable. Despite a long line I received fast service. They have a lot of great glasses to choose from. They were very accommodating and made sure everything was clear and understood. The store is well maintained and they do require masks.

So when I got my eye exam back in February 2020 it was an OK visit. I felt like there was a lot of trying to up charge and pressure way to pay more fees that they know is not covered by insurance.However, I ignore it and refused.Now for the past three weeks I’ve been trying to order a replacement pair that is covered by insurance.On hold for 15 minutes at a time, phone disconnects , workers act like they put the order in but didn’t. Called multiple times extremely frustrating.I don’t get it what so hard putting order in for replacement? I work in a doctors… this is Ridiculous

Very good place alot of selections for glasses, they took care all the paper work with my insurance. And friendly people, dr. Patel is very good in explaning everything, the only problem they do have is when you call the number you are on hold for a long long time.

I was there on Saturday because my six year old son had a prescription and needed to pick out a frame. This was our first time using Horizon Nj ( family care) so we really didn’t fully understand the coverage. Also as parents we were not overjoyed that our son needed glasses. So we walk in and the young lady at the front desk assisted us to the rack that was covered by the insurance. We then sit down with the woman that is suppose to handle the rest of the process. Her whole demeanor was unhappy and frustrated. She seemed upset that she was helping us and dealing with one other family at the same time. That made us feel horrible and we did call before hand and asked if we needed to make an appointment for glasses only. The young lady said no you can definitely walk in. This lady was quite unhappy and really tried to communicate with as little as possible. Before we were done my husband proceeded to ask her if she could see when the vision plan would renew for family care vision. She then sarcastically said that it renews from the date you actually use it and then shouted to the girl in the front desk to tell her what date were we on. Before she could get the answer my husband said I understand and he proceeded to say what day it was. This was my first and definitely last visit. I have to get both contacts and glasses for myself, but I will not be doing it there.

Great overall service. Really took the time to help me and make the experience a safe and efficient one. In addition, Nancy went above and beyond to answer all my questions and made the entire process easy and comfortable. Save yourself the headache. I just left out of this place for the third time. I ended up in the ER with my eyes swollen and barely being able to see because I had an allergic reaction to the glasses. When I went in today to get new glasses the woman was very rude. Telling me she’s never got a complaint like this before, no one has ever had an allergic reaction. I googled it after leaving and read that it’s actually quite common. As an educator I can honestly say the lack of completing training workshops shows. I tried to explain I didn’t even know that it was possible to have an allergic reaction, and that I thought frames were tested for things like this or were even hypoallergenic. She was looking at me like I was crazy. Didn’t even have any remorse and was insensitive and careless. Then on top of that, I had to pay a price difference to adjust my lenses to fit into another pair of frames because they didn’t carry frames in store. All of this because I had an allergic reaction lol. Just don’t even waste your time. Also, if you’re going to have an option for a preferred name, how about actually referring to people by that? It’s 2021, how about normalizing that people have preferred pronouns and names.

The only thing you need to do right is give me the right prescription glasses.Terrible place. .Definitely not going back.It is like they are doing you a favor.They say not to put glasses back after touching them but no one is really watching so I wont be surprised if someone ends up getting sick there.When you call the office no one answers the phone but a machine, so you have to end up going in person.Then they make an other appointment because they didnt do the right job the first time.

This is my second time picking out glasses here and both experiences were great. One of the employees there Ebonnie was very nice and helpful, shes actually the one who helped me both times. I had an appointment at this location today as of 02/13/2021. I was very disappointed. Ms. Dinisha was nice however she did not informed me about the hidden fee of $ 45.74 printed right next to her name on my receipt.I even ended up paying $ 54.00 more for my pair of glasses compared to last year. 😩😢

Ive had consistent wait times of over an hour (including before the pandemic), which especially concerns me because of the risk of COVID waiting in spaces for extended periods. My appointment today took 5 minutes, but that was only after waiting an hour and a half and having to remind them that I was still there. This made the experience incredibly frustrating, especially since I was there because they messed up one of my prescriptions.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I made an appointment online, received a call to confirm the appointment, showed up for the appointment only to be told there was no appointment in the system and that they had scheduled me for a month later. In the middle of a pandemic I had to find a babysitter for my two children to come to the twice confirmed appointment and not even be able to be seen by a doctor because they didn’t have any cancellations- but I had a scheduled appointment. Will never come here again.

We are repeat customers, and once again the staff at Bloomfield Visionworks has given us excellent customer service. Especially Ebonnie. Ebonnie has consistently provided us with good service every time my daughter and I come in for a new pair of glasses. She is always welcoming and acknowledge us even if she is busy with other customers. Do not go here, ive been back 4 times and still dont have glasses, plus everyone that i met in the waiting room was bringing back their glasses Its not cheap and they overbook appts so your left waiting there for hours - biggest mistake - never going back

I can’t say enough nice things about the folks at Visionworks in Bloomfield! First, they were extremely courteous in regard to the precautions that need to be taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. They asked if they could take my temperature, then very politely invited me to wash my hands and put on gloves. They were very respectful to the people who came in and gave choices as to seating. Both doctors are super pleasant and really took time to ensure that I was happy with the final eyeglass prescription. They both chatted with me during the exam like we were old friends, which I found to be refreshing from the normal awkward small talk that normally takes place in these situations. I will not go anywhere else and will recommend to anyone looking for an awesome eye exam. Great experience!!!

This location is very popular and quite busy but I recommend to anyone. Yes, at every doctors office you have to wait, theres no way around it, but at this location they treat people very nice. They sit with you and go over every options and make sure that you pay a little as possible. Even though I used insurance, they always have great deals going on. Highly recommend!

I was told I have a 25 dollar copay for my annual checkup. Never was seen for my eyes before. I called insurance to know my coverage in detail. I have a free no copay annual appointment through insurance. But vision works states I must pay 25 dollar copay. I explained the case they stated thats our policy. Filing complaint with my insurance company. Oh and they will not issue refund after insurance payment. Do not recommend. Wondering how many people are over paying at this place!

I love this place! I go here every year to get my new frames for school. Ive been going here since I was about 7 years old. Everyone is always really nice to me and they always make sure Im getting the best deal. I love that they send out promotions via-email. Went in for the first time this past Saturday about 30 min before closing just to browse for frames on a whim. They have a wide selection- although not any designer brands. I asked one of the associate one question and before you knew it , I was well informed on how much the frames, additions would cost with the option of the current promotion. She kindly, patiently helped me even though I told her I didnt have any information on me.

I visited this place as a recommendation from my insurance. I guess today was not a good day to come. There are a total of six employees here more or less and of the six two have been friendly. Everyone else is distracted and unfriendly. My daughter who suffers from Anxiety was at the edge of sit ready to run from this place. I gave the place two stars because the service was speedy. As for me customer service is more than speed I will find a better place.

This is one of the most helpful & thorough eye centers I have ever visited! I was greeted from the minute I walked in & immediately felt welcomed. The staff was very friendly and had the utmost patience with me as I tend to be picky when it comes to my glasses. Safe to say this is the only place I will be coming to from now on. I arrived as a walk in. They were very professional and fast. It took me less than 15 minutes to be seen. I was out of there in 30 minutes. Very pleasant atmosphere. Everyone needs to come and experience this office.

First time ever coming here and I normally dont bother to leave reviews but I had such a good experience and wanted to take the time to write this.First off, was not sure what to expect/was feeling nervous about visiting any kind of doctor with Covid around.Everyone here was the utmost professional and did their best to make me as comfortable and as safe as possible. They have you hand sanitize and wash your hands before even letting you in for an exam and santize/ wipe every piece of equipment down before and after you sit.The staff was super helpful after my exam when I was picking out glasses. Same deal, anything touched by anyone is immediately wiped down and cleaned before being returned to the wall. And let me tell you, it is not easy picking out glasses with a facemask on but one staff member in particular, Jessica, really helped me with making a decision and went above and beyond to make sure I knew exactly what I was paying for that day.Overall, in this weird Covid/facemask world, this place does their best to make people feel safe and happy. Highly recommend.

I have been a client of Vision Works-Bloomfield, since I was a teenager. I now have kids of my own and they go here every single year. I have never in my life experienced such great customer service. The manager and staff are very professional and want to help in any way they can. They dont rush you and truly take their time in helping you pick the best frames. I moved to AZ about a year and a half ago and I wait till the summer when my kids and I go down to get our exams and news frames. I refuse to visit any other branch. This is truly an amazing place. I highly recommend this office to anyone in the area.

Visionworks of Bloomfield is the place to go for your eye exam. The optometrist was knowledgeable and gave specific details of the test I took. I LOVE this place, I have 2 boys who constantly break theyre glasses. It was my first time and the girls here worked super hard to find frames that fit my childrens lenses so they had something to see. They were positive that they would find a perfect fit and they did. I also took advantage of the 2 for 99 they explained the benefits of backups in case it happens again and its literally 2 for 99 IT INCLUDES THE LENSES. Will definitely be coming back here. You make an appointment but it still takes over 40 minutes to be called in? Unacceptable. My insurance recommends this place which is why I chose to come here. But never again.

The cost of the exam that I was told on the phone was almost double that because of a contact fitting. The doctor didnt listen when I told her which contacts work for me, I had to try other ones. Returned to tell them they make my eyes dry, I still couldnt get a prescription for contacts, they wanted to order my old ones and see me in them first. I’m returning to my old doctor, this has been a total waste of time and money. This place is a scam.

All these advertisements of buy 1 get one free or 50 percent off or other sales , still came out to be almost 500 dollars! 🤦‍♀️ with the buy one get one free!! Had to leave with my prescription only.

Found this location on my way to my daughter’s soccer game and so glad I came across to place. Love the employees that work here. Every single person has a smile on their face and for the glasses arrangement, there is a huge selection of frames to chose from. Absolutely the worst experience. You expect more than a 30 day warranty when you’re spending hundreds of dollars on a pair of glasses. Something other than dismissive rude attitudes at the desk.You judge a company by how the support you when things go wrong, because everyone is nice when you’re swiping your card. These guys won’t help at all, just go online and buy glasses... you’ll get better customer service from a website than the trolls that work here...

Easy to get to - great location. Saturday hours are awesome since I cant make it during the week. Staff are very nice and friendly, very knowledgeable about their products and services. I like that they dont push up on you to buy the most expensive frames, they work with you based on your budget - will definitely come back and recommend.

Appointment was at 2:30, did not get called back to do pre testing until 3:15. Did not see the doctor until 3:30. The lady doing the eye test said she was gonna go clean my glasses and came back saying “I don’t remember who you are but here you go. “ To me that was very unprofessional. They over schedule and make you wait, the doctor was very friendly though. Not many choices for frames. They were all really cheap looking and felt cheap. They felt like they would just break if I put them on wrong. The receptionist at the front desk ( young middle eastern women?) was a bit nasty and rude, was not listening to my questions. I asked her if I could buy a frame elsewhere and bring back here and have lenses put it in. She said yes for 25% off. I asked if the insurance would cover lenses and she said I don’t know. And didn’t even look for me . I will never go back there !

They open at 9am & had me wait 45 minutes when I made a 9am appointment. At 9:45 I asked the girl how much longer, she said it’s going to be a while and carried on with her work. Two other people were called in before me and I asked so you book multiple people at the same time? She said no and again carried on with her business. But if you open at 9am & I made a 9am appointment how did two people get to go ahead of me? So what was the point of even having appointment slots if you make up your own time? First & last time here. I would not recommend you go here.

I had been looking for a new Optometrist for about a year and just happened to see a commercial for Visionworks and decided to give it a try. When I walked in I was promptly greeted and treated as a customer who has been there multiple times. Although a bit hesitant since this is a chain, my fears were quickly dispelled at the quality of customer care and service provided by all staff. The Optometrist are knowledgeable and explain everything to you concisely and in lay terms. Most importantly, they do not try to nickle and dime you in your purchases for frames.I definitely recommend Visionworks. Definitely!

I had a cery pleasant experience at this Visionworks. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was my first time with Dr. Scharf and he was very pleasant and efficient. I got fitted with a new prescription for my contacts with ab updated brand with relative speed. Nancy also helped when picking out a new frame for my glasses, she was very helpful and I ended with a cute pair of glasses. Definitely would recommend!

Something Visionworks did to me:- Told my family member that she needs glasses to drive, despite the fact the she just passed vision test in DMV;- Told me that UV was not covered by my insurance, despite the fact that I got that last year from another place;- I asked Visionworks to provide me the result of my eye check so that I could check in some other places, but:- When I went to another place they said that Visionworks did not release my authorization number;- I called Visionworks to release it, they called me and said its done, but after 3 hours I went to another eye doctor its actually not released, and we had to make phone call to my insurance company to get it released;- And finally the glasses based on Visionworks check result were NOT FITTING AT ALL. I told the doctor I didnt think its right but she was very impatient and I decided to trust her. WRONG DECISION!You dont need to be sorry, Im pretty sure your staff will be pissed by my review so I and my family wont go there anyway. Dont worry you still have a bunch of 5 star reviews, hopefully you guys will improve and make others satisfied.BUT NOT ME!!

Dropped off frames to be made on Nov 2nd. It’s Nov 25th today and three attempts to reach the manager over the weeks have failed. They could have done ALOT more to expedite the process or atleast to communicate with me better. No one ever picks up the phone just like today (noon on a Monday). Horrible service. Stay away. The doctors are great. Staff is friendly. But the past three times I ordered my contacts, no one calls/ texts me to tell me theyre ready. I always have to call them. Its just a little obnoxious especially since I tend to forget. Also, despite getting an exam last yr which was billed through my new insurance, last time I called the lady said they did not have my new insurance on file.

Dr.Patel’s care was fantastic- very personal and caring. Dinisha ‘s intake and finding me the exact right glasses was very good!

Im glad too see some good reviews for this location. Ive been to different eye glass stores from private to big branded companies and I outta say Visionworks pretty good with their services. I came to Bloomfield (closer to me) and went through a a series of exams, given contacts and glassrs within 5 days. No bad at all! I appreciate the effort the staff puts in even when I came in on a crowded place. So, all in all great

Visionworks has always been my go to place for my annual check ups. Ive been going to the Bloomfield office ever since the old office, the EyeDrx. Ive done medicals and regular check ups on the spot, even my glasses now in days take an hour or less ,when they have my Rx. Ive always loved the doctors from 10 years ago until today. Can not forget about my favorite lady staff, especially the new GM, she brings a even better atmosphore and professionalism to the office. Staff is always there to help eyeglass shopping and trying out new styles and definitely with money saving options. You cant beat there month to month promotions either. Visionworks is simply the best place to go.

Whenever I come it’s relatively fast and easy service. 10/10 would recommend.
