I dont normally right reviews...I Moved to Bismarck recently and set up first dental appointment with Aspen. When I got there I went through 5 different people by the time the appointment was done. They wanted to refer me to get my wisdom teeth out which arent bothering me, they wanted to refer me to get my teeth straighted at 35 and wear a device on my head. They tried selling an electric toothbrush. Then they ask if you want a $30 cancer screen with a special light. When its all done they said I had gingivitis and needed a $370 deep clean my insurance wont cover. At the end they try to get you to pay half or full price for upcoming appointments. I called 3 other dentist offices and they all said they have heard complaints from other customers at Aspen. Other places do the cancer screen as part of their check up not separate and they thought the deep clean charge was crazy and they dont charge you upfront. I called Aspen dental back to cancel my upcoming appointments and it took 3-4 weeks and multiple calls to get my money back...I just went in for a checkup and cleaning. Couldnt even get my teeth cleaned.

The staff is amazing and they do the best to make sure you are 100% satisfied.

I was a little nervous when I first walked in, as it’s been awhile I seen a dentist. After i finished the new patient registration process the staff were friendly and well organized from the Dental Assist to the Dentist. What I liked most is how we build a dental care plan during my initial check up, gave me options, asked me what I was interested in doing. After that the office manager went over and printed my dental plan and we went over cost & choices together. Along with that, it was a simple & easy process of getting approved for financing the cost of what my insurance company did not cover. In the beginning I said, I was nervous due to a bad experience with a dentist years ago. Now I’m excited to get my dental work started and have that perfect smile again.

I would never recommend Aspen Dental. 1) When having multiple teeth extracted they should really sedate the patient 2) When something Isn’t working try starting over 3) the dentist should Never make adjustments to dentures that they aren’t very experienced at 4) Never make the patient cry!! I want the rest of my money!!!!!!!!!!

I had high hopes for Aspen Dental in Bismarck. I had one exam and have personally stopped in and submitted my insurance information with the hope that I could get a treatment plan along with what the cost options would be for dentures. I waited and heard nothing. I called again and did receive a call back by the receptionist. She indicated that I would here back either via phone or email. Weeks have now transpired and I have heard nothing.I am beginning to think that I am being singled out as someone they do not want to do business with. I can only guess why that might be the case. Strange because I have the ability to pay just like anyone else.I go home and continue to see the advertising that they run on TV. Obviously I am not the target market they are looking for. For those of you reading this I am a gainfully employed 63 year old white male.

The staff was courteous and professional. I came out alive with almost all my teeth lol except the one I was missing from before, that they had removed fore me. They had done a great job, without any infection. They also have a great company called dental first, that works with, to help with financing. I didnt have the best credit when I went there, but was still able to get financing through them, to get my work done. I never give a five star review, because when I was in the military I learned never to give a perfect score, because nobody is ever perfect. That is why only a four star from me. I meant to quiet a few dentists in the past, unfortunately, and I have heard of Aspen Dental in Colorado, never really checked into them because I had my own dentist, so I decided to contact them about some dental work. Outstanding customer service! From the initial phone call, to the entire procedure. Very well organized. I felt so relaxed about having dental work done. They were very professional, all the staff, I really appreciated the fact that there isnt any hidden fees, and options are available for payment. Outstanding job! I highly recommend Aspen Dental.

Absolutely disappointed in the way this company operates. We went in for our first time check up. They offered my fiancé finance for the work he needed to have done and pushed him out the door. (He did not know this was care credit and considered a loan). He thought it was an in house type of finance that they offered (like we just experienced with ortho). This was not explained to him at all. As soon as I got an email from this care credit explaining we just opened an account with them I called to speak with a manager to discuss what happened. Nobody was available so they took my number and said someone would get back to us when they had time.The next day I called back to speak with someone again. A different lady answered and we ended up leaving another message.For the next 2 weeks we tried emails to reach someone and we called 5 times to talk to a manager. No one was available. And 0 phone calls back.I will be reporting this location to the Better Of Business Bereau.One cannot run a business this way. You will run it to the ground. I hear this location already has a bad rep and Im new to this area. Bad people get a bad name. Enjoy the review. No need to respond now.

Made appointment because of insurance change, but decided to pay higher “out of network” rate rather than use Aspen. First appointment available to have a tooth filled was almost a YEAR out (>11 months!). Charges significantly higher than allowable charge set by insurance. (Out of pocket for same procedure >$900 vs $160 with previous dentist.) My husband & I both felt like our visit was a “sales pitch” from the moment we walked in the door.

Awesome they made me feel comfortable and relaxed fast ant painless and my dentures look great just like my originals 40 years ago..Love them would go anywhere but aspin dental.

My experience was good but they keep trying to sell me things. I came in for a tooth cleaning and she did a great job. But you need our tooth paste and light for cancer. I just want a tooth cleaning. Other wise my experience was good.

Amazing facility. Bismarck, ND staff are phenomenal. They care about the patient, answer questions and allow you to watch the prep work. All rooms have a small TV for you to watch for your comfort. Highly recommend. And if you do NOT have any insurance they do free x rays and exam.

We had such an amazing experience at our appointment for my daughter. The hygienist Courtney and the lady she was training were so caring and genial with my daughter. She unfortunately had a filling and the doctor was able to see her as well. This saved so much time in my schedule so we didn’t have to come back for another visit. Thank you so much!! The whole office had such a great rapport and made coming to the dentist fun!!

My first impression was great. Clean and orderly front lobby and nice staff at the front desk. I noticed the clinic was very clean, bright and airy. The staff and dentist was very friendly and welcoming just like if i was at a neighborhood private practice. I had no anxiety about being at the dentist during my appointment. They made me very comfortable. Working with the office manager on cost and ways to save, was a pleasure. I felt she had my best interest in trying to get me the best cost for my treatment plan. Regarding my treatment plan the dentist and dental hygienist explained everything to me to where i can make the best decision for my care. I would definitely recommend Aspen Dental in Bismarck to friends and family.

I hadnt been to the dentist in a shameful amount of time, but the staff didnt make me feel bad at all. They were kind and non judgmental. I was especially pleased that all the staff who helped me were female. Personally, that made me more comfortable.

I had to find another Dentist that would allow me to have an exam and teeth cleaning at the same time of my appointment! Aspen Dental is expensive and do not and refuse teeth cleanings for regular cleanings if more is needed! Very disappointed in there service! They would not allow my regular teeth cleaning nor would they allow me to spend what I wanted done myself with funds I would have to pay out if pocket! Go somewhere else!I had called back they still refused my free teeth cleaning thru my insurance that I can get 4 times a year! Prairie Rose Dental is willing to take my exam and free regular cleaning on the first visit! Better places to go then Aspen Dental!!!

I was made to feel at easy by my Dental Hygienist and the Dentist as well as all the other staff that work in back. I have massive anxiety about dental visits and they are so respectful of this and treat me amazing. The kindness and care so far has been so appreciated. 💐💐💐

They took my daughter back and took X-rays then left her sitting there for 45 min with me in the waiting room. While I was waiting, a woman came in to discuss a discrepancy with her bill and the staff was dismissive and wouldn’t really help her. When the woman left, the staff talked about her negatively. When I was pulled in to talk to the woman who discusses the plans of action and costs, I brought up the billing issue and she became defensive and snooty with me as though I didn’t have a right to ask about potential issues that may occur.

I had been hesitant to go at first but once I got there the people are very nice give off a caring willingness to help vibe I felt silly for being hesitant to once again after such a long time to have a beautiful smile again . Thank you Aspen Dental.

Scheduled an appointment for a check up and a cleaning before my insurance runs out. They didnt even clean my teeth! Now I will have to wait until I get decent insurance again, for more than a year. Thanks a lot! Meanwhile they kept talking about how important it is to keep up with dental health.My mouth and jaw are so sore from getting a ton of xrays. I didnt have any pain before going in. Then they wanted me to commit to a $4k invisiline. I already had braces and indicated I am happy with my smile . Plus Im not fancy enough to go there. They kept referring to the fact that Im wearing coveralls. I work outside and my appointment was on my lunch break. Will not be going back even if I get better dental again. A lot of unnecessary pictures/scans.

I liked this hygenist better than the last time. Willingness to work with what I wanted for my dental health care were more accommodating instead of feeling overwhelmed with all they tried to sell and add charges for at my first visit, when all I wanted was just a cleaning. Much better this time. Just had to wait quite a while in the room til the cleaning was started, but hygenist explained why.

I was a little nervous going to a new dental office, but by the time I left, I was feeling very good about Aspen Dental. Everyone, from the receptionist to the doctor, was very professional yet personable. They explained everything that was going on and always asked if I had questions. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

I havent been to a dentist is 8 years, terrified mostly about the bill an time id have to spend at an office. I made an appointment online for my 1st visit (which was for 8am the next day) was in an out within 2 hours that included a full exam and a tooth pulled. The best part is they worked w me on the cost an i paid less than $200. I recently made an appointment for a cleaning an they got me in the same day an was also at a huge discount. I love this place, i dont want a warm blanket an a teddy to cuddle i want someone who respects my time an my money. I look forward to referring my friends.

Had my teeth done in Fargo and was down in Bismarck the week after and was having problems. I called the aspen in Bismarck and they got me right in. Friendly staff and made me feel right at home. Thanks so much

I would have given this place 5 stars had it not been for the unpleasant initial contact.I arrive at 10:38am for a 10:45 appointment. The lady who attended to me said I was a little bit late, that my appointment was for 10:30, and that they were gonna try and fit me in because their schedule was tight. So I was like, oh so eight minutes late? And I thought to myself, Im pretty sure my appointment was for 10:45. So I dig out my phone and find the email that said my appointment was for 10:45 and shove it in the ladys face (not literally but in my mind I was shoving it in her face). Did I get an apology? No, I did not.However, my dentist, hygienist, and the ladies who did my x-rays gave me SUPERB service (Im sorry I forgot your names already), and lastly Jen Patera (manager) apologized to me for their scheduling system messing up and was very professional, courteous, and pleasant.Having said all that, I would definitely recommend this place. They give you a breakdown of everything they plan to do for you, insurance, cost and all.

I visited Aspen Dental in Bismarck for a broken tooth that needed attention. The first appointment I was given x-rays and an oral evaluation that consisted of counting my teeth and taking pictures of them followed by a sales pitch for electric tooth brushes. No teeth cleaning or further services were rendered and I had dental insurance. The bill for the first appointment was $172 and I was given a referral to an oral surgeon to have the tooth removed. The pain was searing and I had to wait until the 2nd trimester of my pregnancy to have the tooth removed. While waiting for the the appropriate time to have the tooth extracted, I called the dentist again out of desperation, trying to get some help with the pain issue. The dental office is 100 miles from the town I live in. I was seen by Dr. Kathryn Schneibel. I sat down in the chair, she flipped the dental tool she was using around and began tapping on my teeth to determine which tooth was causing the problem. After the obviously broken tooth was hit, the searing, throbbing pain was unbearable. She told me there was nothing she could do for me and sent me on my way. No effort to pack the tooth or render any actual service. The entire appointment was less than 5 minutes in the dental chair. I was sent a bill for $97 for a limited exam when I called to ask exactly what I was being billed for, I was initially shocked to find out I was actually seen by a dentist, considering the lack of care I had received, I had assumed I had been seen by a hygienist. I was then told by the billing personnel that Dr. Schneibel had issued orders for an antibiotic. I was never told to take an antibiotic, she never mentioned it and I never received any kind of call or communication after the second appointment. When I called to contest the bill, I was told someone would call me back, never received that call. Just called the office again, to no avail. If you value your oral health and your money, go somewhere else. This was the worst experience Ive had in 34 years or dental visits and it cost me weeks of pain, $269 and 400 miles of round trip driving. If I could give negative stars, I would.*** follow up: I did call to discuss the situation with the billing as suggested by the owners response below, Dr. Schneibel insisted I be billed for the appointment. Apparently it is their policy that whatever the dentist wants to do, they have to stand by it.

Walked in here because a big sign says “free X-rays.” After I finished my 3 hour X-rays😒I was taken to a room where a lady showed me what I need to come back for. I made sure to ask if I needed to pay and she showed me on her computer that I will not have to pay anything. A few weeks later I get a bill for $230. When I looked into the papers for my “bill” it’s something they didn’t even do on me. Total scam and I will not be paying for something I did not receive.

After my first visit setting up a dental plan getting approved through their Genesis financing.... They put charges to the account prior to ever doing the services.... Still havent received the services and yet there is a additional $1,750 give or take showing up on my credit report... This drop my credit score 51 pointsAfter speaking to the Aspen dental financial representative that set up the account she told me that it would be credited back to the company ...Yet that has not happened.... This is a problem... Everybody wants to get their teeth fixed Surely.... Fair warning watch would you agree to and dont agree to any charges impede very close attention to your credit reportThis reeks of a scam...Would I recommend them depends if they can get this straightened out.Very disappointed

I was treated like I really mattered, all the staff were very friendly. Things were explained to me very well and I am so excited to be finally getting dentures and being able to eat again.

The staff is great, but the lady that left me a message on my phone needs to so down so you can understand her, after being in the waiting room for twenty minutes they finally called me in, I listened to her speak so fast on the phone to other patients .

They were all very kind and considerate of my Mom. She has some dementia so it was rather difficult to do some of the treatment but they were patient with her. It was a good experience. They explained the expenses thoroughly.

They only suggested an electric toothbrush instead of reteaching basic brushing. Never asked about it. Did not teach flossing, just suggested a water pick. As a single mother, I try all I can to do what is best for my stubborn son. But hearing the basics from a professional is something he would listen to. I have taught him how, but he thinks he knows better. They could have done better. On that end.

Best dental experience I’ve ever had! The whole staff is extremely nice and they walk you through and let know you exactly was they will be doing! I would definitely recommend them to friends and family! I got to meet Dr. Schneibel and Dr. Coyne and they both seemed very nice and super friendly!!!

I got a last minute appointment! The doctors bedside manner was so good. I got a referral, and they hooked me up with Valley Oral (they was great too! Got tooth pulled waiting appmnt, wait was only 15 minutes).

Aside from being a Dentist appointment it was a good experience. Was a little shocked by the prices , but over all a nice place.

Have tried to call customer service and management numerous time have also written a few emails and have gone months without a reply... first time ever here and I left in tears, they told me I have severe gum disease and would need tissue and bone grafting and that I had 4 cavities... after getting these diagnosis I was taken into an office and shown how much this would all cost which was about 5000 total... was also asked if I would like to do the oral cancer screening and was told that insurance covers it about 50% of the time... when I went to leave they told me insurance never covered it and i did not have the money at the time as it was the day before payday... I went to another dentist a week later and did not have near the diagnosis that this place said I did... will never go here again and I find it really pathetic I cant even get a response back... do not go here!!

A promoted as free dental check up turned into a sales event...Tried to have me sign some sketchy paperwork on the spot etc...

Bad service, they broke my cousins tooth yesterday and told him to come back today but now they said that they probaly wont have anybody staffed to cut the tooth out. In the mean while his nerves are exposed and he is going to have an all around bad Christmas this year because this company in all honesty messed up bad.

The personnel and dental professionals were all wonderful. The place is impecable and you get a feeling of friendship and professionalism at the same time. I loved it. Would definitelt recommend.

Horrible experience went to pull a bad tooth ended up shattering the tooth and couldnt get the roots r nerve out told me next day I was to see a surgeon told me she would call me in the am to let me know when.. its now 11 am no word and the receptionist told me they dont think they have a surgeon around today so Im supposed to go through Christmas in pain and not even really able to eat anything due to a exposed nerve I will not be back havent been so mad

The dental hygienist was rogh on my mouth for the cleaning and very uncaring and rude. I havent been to a dentist in years and I asked about getting something for my anxiety and she said we dont do gas here and I was scheduled to have a toothe pulled so I figured I had better ask if they will send me home with pain meds for after. She said no, we probably wont do that either. I was shocked. Im also supposed to have 2 crowns and dont think I will go there again. She dismissed my anxiety and did a second rate job on my polishing, I told her that was the shortest polish I ever received in my life and she tells me, I did a good job with the cleaningso your teethe didnt need much polishing. I paid for a full polish and she skipped teethe and made me feel bad.

Absolutely horrible practice, if you can even call it that. If you want for your care to revolve around being sold Invisalign and electric toothbrushes, then this is your place. Waited a half an hour past my appointment time and they billed my insurance for services that they didn’t perform. Awful business!
