I was looking for a primary doctor in the area, and Dr. Casey was highly recommended. I’ve had several visits with him over the year and he treats me like I’m his only patient. Very one on one. He always answers my questions and is never rushed. From reception, ma, nurses, lab staff has always been very professional and helpful. I’m glad I made the change to this practice. I highly recommend Dr. Casey and his staff to anyone looking for a primary physician.

Very friendly staffGreat personalities and caring.I had been a Cooper Green Patient for many years til I was able to get insurance. At CGMH, I’d feel uncomfortable like I was disturbing or bothering the staff by being there. The doctor was nice, but the staff didn’t want to be there or help you.Today at Seal Harris Clinic I saw Dr Williams and he has a great caring personality and his staff is just as friendly and caring. I was very surprised and shocked. I won’t fear making doctor appointments now.

I appreciate them always being able to fit me in over the years when I experienced unexpected illnesses and needed to come to the clinic. I love how Dr. Kennedy Kuntz listen to his patients. When I go to see him I don’t feel like a number he really cares about his patients well being thank you so much. I have referred a lot of people to him. He is the best doctor I have had in a long time. He stuck with me and my family now 😉

I would highly recommend you to stay as far away from this clinic as humanly possible. I saw a physician from this group on at least three separate visits regarding the same set of symptoms.I was misdiagnosed and almost died as the result. This group almost killed me. Fortunately, I moved away from Birmingham and now have some of the best physicians in the country. My condition that was misdiagnosed kept me in the cardiac Intensive care unit for two weeks and I stayed in the hospital for 30 days. When they were informed of what happened, they seem to be more concerned about a potential lawsuit than saying they were sorry about what happened. The head doctor and my ex-doctor of this clinic should be ashamed of their behavior in not simply saying ‘ I’m sorry’. So ask yourself ‘how important is your health to you?’ If you care anything about the quality of health care then seek other doctors. It could save you your life! Stay away from Seale Harris Clinic.

I have used Seale Harris Clinic for many years. I like the care I receive from my Dr. and his staff. I also like that many tests and procedures can be done right there in the office, saves me time and the inconvenience of several trips. If I am sick, I have always been given a same day appointment, they even saw my out of town friend within hours of calling them. There is always plenty of available parking in the deck and the clinic is a very short walk from there. The clinic is very clean and up to date, I highly recommend it.

I seen Dr. Putman last week for the first time, he seem pleasant even tried to help me pick up my items after I had a moment, but I heard a nurse outside my door saying shes not putting up with this and that, I assume she was talking about my crying spells and my frustration about my health. She also was outside my door saying she dont care if I hear her or not. I am disgusted by her behavior, I couldnt believe this is what I was hearing. I received a letter yesterday sayingI was terminated from the clinic. I did nothing wrong, if anybody should of been terminated it shouldve been whoever I was hearing outside my door.

Dr. Scarlici was very attentive to my family. He has done so much to improve my daily life. When I first started coming to Dr. Scarlici I was on a walker and yesterday I was walking without assistance. It’s not a pretty walk but it’s a blessing to be independent. I have called and called and called. The Clinical Manager, Jessica Mays, WILL NOT return my calls! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL not to seek out & problem solve a patients concerns/issues that he/she may have had, and to not even return not one of my calls. I have worked in hospital administration and a physicians office many years. This is one of the poorest managed physicians offices that Ive ever seen. Patients are the customers here; our insurance and our bank accounts pay ALL of these employees salaries. I witnessed two of the scheduling personnel continue to talk to each other while Dr. Crenshaw was trying to talk to them - rude, ignoring him! That was a shocker! On a positive note, NP Emily, has been exceptional when I have seen her....love her! Rarely would I post a negative review of anything or anyone; however, my health is VERY IMPORTANT TO ME and I cannot get any responses from this staff! If I was given the opportunity to speak with someone on the governing board, I would.

Dr. Boylan has been my doctor for 8 years. And was my husbands doctor before he died. The only negative thing is the wait to be seen. Dr. Boylan listens and responds. He is a good diagnostitian. He also refers appropriately.The lab, xray and the business office are very efficient.I highly recommend Seale Harris.

My doctor was good at his job but the main reason I am leaving is because of the front desk/office staff. I have read about 10 reviews saying the same thing, and I can confirm it is true. The front desk workers are very rude to me and my parents, who have been going there for more than 10 years now. Every single time, they seem like they don’t want to be there and make us feel very uncomfortable. They never return calls and make me feel like I bother them every time I call. I do not recommend unless you want to feel like this every time you need to speak to your doctor.

I am a health care provider (doctorate degree) and am shocked at the state of this medical clinic. The front office staff is rude, incompetent, and incredibly disrespectful toward patients. I have witnessed this several times in person. The nurses or medical assistants (I believe most of them are actually medical assistants and not nurses) are often confused and unsure of what they are doing. Multiple times they have taken my vitals incorrectly - and this is a very basic task! Be prepared to wait at least 45 minutes to an hour to be taken back into the office. Even when you arrive 30 minutes early, you will most often wait up to an hour past your appointment time to be taken back. After being taken back, you are put in a second waiting room and often have to wait an additional 30 minutes. The office always overbooks appointments and they even admit they do! I would never do this to my patients. It’s incredibly inconsiderate. Finally, the physicians seem just as miserable as the patients. No one in this office seems to actually enjoy what they do. On multiple occasions, I’ve heard staff talking negatively about their coworkers. Very unprofessional office. I do not trust these people with my medical information.It is very hard to find a PCP today. Most physicians specialize in a practice area, so finding a PCP you can trust is almost impossible!Choose another provider. You’ll be glad you did.

Both my wife and I see Dr. Williams. I’ve been seeing him for about 3 years and he is great. I’ve referred him to multiple friends and now 4 other friends come here to see him. He is very honest and straight forward. If you are looking for a doctor that’s going to paint you a pretty picture go else where. If you take your health seriously and want to hear the honest truth even if it’s tough then come see Dr. Williams.

I love Seale Harris Clinic and Dr. Clifton. This place runs like a well-oiled machine. No other doctor’s office that I’ve ever been to am I out within the hour. That includes waiting in the waiting room, seeing the doctor, and bloodwork. They have been so efficient every time that I’ve been and very accessible if you have an issue or need to be seen, often the same day.

After my last appointment with Dr. Casey. I had two missed calls and then two voice mails that they forgot to do bloodwork. When I was finally able to answer I told Dr. Casey’s nurse that I would check my schedule and call and make an appointment to come back. I called the Seale Harris number and was transferred to voice mail. I left my message that I was supposed to come back. Later that day I received a call from a nurse that told me that I had not received any calls to come back. That I wasn’t due to come back until November. I told her that I could show her my cell phone and play the messages for her. I told her that they forgot to do bloodwork. She took a tone with me and told me “I didn’t forget anything. I’ve been off work.” I hung up on her. She called back. I was upset and told her not to call back that I was going to find another doctor. I received a letter from Dr. Casey that he would no longer see me as a patient. I’m probably very lucky. When one nurse is telling me to do one thing and another nurse is telling me something else, I don’t trust their care.

I am a medical professional and I am very concerned about this clinic. On every occasion I have gone there, I have waited well over 45 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. On my last visit, I was charged for many services I did not receive. Whether this was a genuine mistake or intentional insurance fraud is unknown, as I have spent MONTHS trying to get in touch with someone there with no success (yet I keep receiving bills). The only reason I give it two stars is because Dr. Putman seems like a good, caring doctor, but the rest of the clinic is horrible. Go somewhere else, there are much better clinics.

I have been seeing Dr Clifton since 2015, and I could not be happier to be his patient. I recently began to see his NP, Robin, and she is also just as friendly, caring, and attentive as he is. They have helped with medical issues that other doctors have overlooked and been able to give me peace of mind. Also, all of the nurses and staff are friendly and caring. I am very thankful for this practice and will continue to be a patient as long as I am located in Birmingham.

Horrible billing department. I have received a bill from Seale Harris I contacted my insurance and was advised not pay. The practice of “balance billing” is illegal since they agreed to the terms of the Contract with both of my insurance companies (BC and Tricare) by accepting “assignment”.Watch your bills closely!!!!

I truly admire and respect my physician who practices at this clinic. I keep going back… Even though the front office experience is always a nightmare. However, today was the last straw. They had previously mailed a bill to me from my last appointment ...Which I returned with my credit card information. Evidently, they could not read the exp date. Rather than calling me, they sent the bill to collections. Seriously!!! They are going to mess with my credit because they’re too lazy to pick up the phone and ask for the expiration code? I was unaware any of this had transpired when I came in for my appointment. When they said I had an outstanding balance, I attempted to pay them.... and they refused to take the money. (That was when I found out they had made notes in their computer that they had received my credit card info and knew I had tried to pay.). I asked them to remove the collection and take my money. They refused and would not let me see physician. That is the kind of customer service that ends up in a lawsuit. Refusal to treat a patient because of a billing clerk’s error.

I have been going to this clinic for several years. The doctor Ive seen was fine but the staff are rude and unhelpful. This was the last straw today. I arrived for a 4:15 appointment and was told Mt appointment had been rescheduled to an earlier time and with a different doctor today. No phone call, no text, no asking if that was OK with me. They then said I had missed the rescheduled time and my doctor was not there to see me. Fine,I rescheduled for a different day and left the office aggravated at the lack of service but still somewhat OK with it. Ten minutes after I left the office I get a call from a staff member letting me know I missed my appointment. I explained the situation to her and her response was OK, theres nothing I can do about that. Ill just mark it as a cancelation....she was so rude and unhelpful. The whole place needs to find some manners and customer service. 10/10 would not recommen .

I will not be going back to the Seale Harris Clinic. Dr. Putnam I feel is a good doctor and when you’re there everyone is extremely friendly and polite. The issue is that when you’re not there, they’re nearly impossible to get a hold of. I’ve left several voicemails over a weeks time just to get my lab paperwork and never heard back. I had to call and ask for the HR Dept because of how poor they are at calling back. In addition to that, I went in for a preventative care annual physical and they started running all kinds of unnecessary labs for a wellness exam that I asked if it was absolutely necessary to do and they told me yes. So I went in for what should have been a free visit ended up costing me over a hundred dollars. I called and after several attempts and an escalation they denied any responsibility for providing anything they wouldn’t have required. It would have been okay if I would have known that they were going to do it so I could get them the correct paperwork to complete so I can get credit on my health insurance from my employer. They left out key info and now I’m going to have to pay another place to do it correctly because I can’t get anyone from the Clinic to call me back. Extremely frustrating and poor customer service if you’re not there in person.

Unanswered calls about important test results, an inability to talk to a nurse or doctor via the phone, not realizing you are a person with a life, insanely long wait times? Check, check, check! Oh and dont bother trying to reach them after 5:00:01. The second the clock ticks 5 they are out the door without a care in the world, whether or not they responded to your multiple calls. They dont care anything about peoples time. 20 minutes to check in and pay your co-pay, 20 more minutes to see your doctor. If you schedule an appointment here, you need to make sure you arrive an hour early to comfortably make your appointment time. Its outrageous. Ive been a patient for 8 years, but this will be the last. This year the service has decreased dramatically.

I have been a patient of Dr. Casey for several years. My issue is with his administration team. I had lab work done which one lab was covered and two was denied. Blue Cross stated the staff sent over incorrect codes which is why the labs were denied. Dr. Caseys nurse stated they cannot do anything and I need to call LabCorp. LabCorp informed me any updated diagnostic codes come from my physicians office. After I have told Dr. Caseys staff what LabCorp stated, they continue to point the finger to LabCorp and Blue Cross. I am refusing to pay the lab bill since I know my insurance will cover the labs. This is an issue caused by staff who needs more training pertaining to coding. Once I resolve this issue, I will be moving my medical services to another office/physician.

If I could give it 0 stars I most definitely would. This place does not care about their patients or their well being. Dr. Drake Williams is a drug dealer in a lab coat. So if your looking for a pill pusher and want to hear corny jokes hes your man. His bedside manner is awful, hes not someone you can ask questions, definitely dont have a stroke because hes definitely not going to dot all Is or cross any Ts. And please dont expect a referral to neurology, clearly after having a stroke you dont need one. (in the eyes of Drake Williams) But if your looking for someone who cares about your health please choose another clinic. Everyone, that I know that has gone to him has left. Look elsewhere, anywhere! A doc in the box is far better! Bad office, doctors, and nurses. Theyve treated my colds and even the a bad case of the flu last year with no problem. After seeing Clifton for years, quality of the office has declined. I wasnt happy about this but it wasnt the end of the world. Went to see them recently with severe stomach pain, they took weeks to schedule a simple hida scan. Turns out I need my gallbladder removed after waiting for weeks in agonizing pain with no medication. This was even after I called them several times asking for help. After getting my results, I promptly asked for a referral to a different doctor. When I questioned their office about not calling people back, leaving me in pain, etc. they suggested that I visit the ER and claimed theyd refer me to a general surgeon. Guess what, they never did. I had to call more times and practically begged for a Gastroenterologist referral. They finally did but only after I called the referral doc. I got a letter from Clifton today asking me to look for another doc. Wow! So if you might be REALLY sick... they dont care. You are more likely to get help for a simple cold than something serious which really makes alot of sense. Avoid them like the plague! If you get the plague dont go there lol!

Might want to ask how much they will bill your insurance (and you personally if you have a deductible). They billed my insurance $540 for an xray and a steroid shot. Ridiculous. Any local urgent care facility would have done the same work for much less. Count us a former patients and will never set foot in their office again.

By far the worst primary care experience Ive ever had. Dr.Cliffton nurse practitioner Robyn is normally who i see normally pretty nice for but for almost 2 weeks ive been calling in to get lab results leaving messages and nobody seems 2 work there cause after about 13 voicemails nobody has returned my calls hope its not life threating cause i will be contacting my attorney. They have sent letters to my home but wont check the voicemail

Hello, my wife has been employed at Seale Harris for almost 2 yrs. Today she was terminated along with 20+ people for No apparent reason. Then they told her that she would not be paid for any of her EARNED vacation days. We have three boys and the school year just started. Everyone knows how expensive that is. So those EARNED VACATION DAYS wouldve been a huge help until she is able to find another job. As a doctors office they do ok. As I was a patient there also. But as an employer....They care nothing about them. My wife worked hard for them as well as the other employees. They show no gratefulness at all. I have no choice but to hire a lawyer and contact the Alabama Labor Board. If your looking for a doctors office. I would suggest anyone but this place. Thx!

I called and easily made an appointment on the phone for the next morning at 9 for my first visit to the Clinic. When I arrived a very friendly lady signed me in and helped me fill out a few forms. After a short wait the Doctors ( Kunz) staff took over and ran tests and ask questions. They are all very nice and professional, as is Dr. Kunz. I left feeling that I was in the good hands of very competent, caring people.Now I have been back for my 2nd visit - heart tests and a brain MRI. I was again met up front by a lovely nurse She took me to a dark room, instructed me to undress and probed my chest with something like a cold Bud Light bottle cap attached to a monitor that made squiggly electronic noises like space invaders . No fun for me , sorry. Next my MRI across the street at St V. And when the nurse said It makes a loud noise it was the understatement of the century. I barely survived .I did stop back at SH Clinic gift shop and picked up a SHC baseball cap, SHC T shirts for the grands and a coffee mug for my wife. Now who of you thought that 60 of my 73 years spent smoking cigars, drinking brown whiskey , always ordering the double cheeseburger and biggie fries might be a health problem ? No.No.No - Im in great shape and passed all the tests. Ok, maybe just barely. Nice folks at Seale Harris Clinic treated me like royalty - I do appreciate it.

My elderly mother is dealing with dishonest billing practices. I would recommend staying away, because they are double billing the elderly people. Getting paid by the insurance and Medicare then turning around and billing the patients anyway.

I was prescribed the incorrect medication and after taking it for a week and feeling sick, I researched the Internet and realized what happened. I notified the office manager by leaving two voice mails and asked for confirmation that the error had been addressed with Dr. Logan Caseys NP. No calls returned. I called back again and asked to leave a voice mail with Dr. Casey directly. I was transferred to the nurses voice mail. No apology was made, no calls returned and now I have no confidence resulting actions are taken when errors occur. I realize mistakes can happen, but it could have been serious and I have no idea if Dr. Casey knows it even happened!

These doctors are treating their employees like garbage. Find another if you care about your health. They cancel prescriptions if you refuse unnecessary labs and testing. Urines sitting out for days while their machine is down. A nightmare. Their indeed rating is 2.8 and thats high for them.

This review will have nothing to do with the quality of my medical care, which was (I assume) on par with normal standards. This review focuses on Seale Harriss billing department. Dr. Putman is pleasant and handled my care as well as can be expected.This clinics billing department, however, is an absolute sham. I am still, to this day, working out billing errors that they committed on services that I received over a year ago. I made payments on multiple different occasions, each time, paying the supposed bills in full only to receive more bills later due to miscommunications between Seale Harris and my insurance company. I consistently communicated with Seale Harris throughout this process, calling on multiple occasions and spending HOURS on the telephone having to repeat my story and its details over and over to various people, each with less of an idea of how to help me than the one before. Then, out of the blue, after I made YET ANOTHER payment to Seale Harris, they called to inform me that they had now PUT MY ACCOUNT INTO COLLECTIONS. So now, though I had consistently been doing more than my part to work through their own internal errors, they sent me to a third party and put my credit at risk due to their own laziness and idiocy. At this point, I have no choice but to pay the incorrect billing amount (an amount that is higher, mind you, than what my insurance company says I am supposed to owe) or else face my credit taking a massive hit due to this collections case defaulting.Though some of the people in the billing department are nice, most of them are utterly incompetent. On top of that, they give you the run around every time you try and take your communications to someone higher in the department, who MIGHT (key word) actually know what theyre doing. Pure incompetence, pure stupidity, and pure irresponsibility are the only things Ive encountered while working through this issue, except for in the case of the one bright spot in the department whose name is Tracy. (Whenever I could actually reach her) She spoke with me caringly and returned the respect and patience that I consistently showed to their billing staff, but even she failed to ever be able to connect me to the head of billing, Allison, who was conveniently always in a meeting any time I politely asked to speak to her.This offices incompetence has been a thorn in my side and a stress on my family for over a year now. I encourage everyone in the Birmingham area to stay far away from this miserable excuse for a clinic.

My doctor is great but the staff in the whole clinic is lazy and nonchalant about EVERYTHING. I work in another part of the hospital and I am so disappointed In the level of care and urgency of the staff here.

I was misdiagnosed twice by a Dr at this clinic. He first told me I had Mitra Valve Prolapse and put me on medication for it. I went to the MVP center in Birmingham and after a series of tests they concluded I have a perfectly healthy heart and no markers for MVP. He also told me I had hyperthyroidism which my OBGYN ran her own tests and she concluded my thyroid levels were perfect. I would not recommend this clinic. He also put my on an unsafe medication for a UTI while pregnant.

Dr Paul Scales & his staff are not only excellent clinicians, they are extremely efficient. Very well-managed office. There are enough physicians in the practice to guarantee same day appointments.

I was lied on by my doctors nurse after i had left the doctors office to pick up the prescription that my doctor had prescribed to me which i didnt ask him to prescribe. when i went to fill the prescription the doctor told them people not to fill it and i was embarrassed. I called seale harris upset like who wouldnt and the staff got smart and rude towards me. To a point where i was called out of my name.

This is the second year I take my son for his yearly routine visit. This is the second time they coded the claim incorrectly -as medical visit, making me pay for the visit. The first time they did not wanted to change the claim code so I had to pay and now we are again in the same situation. They get more money this way. If this does not get corrected, I will never come back to this place.

Dr. Boylan has been a good GP. Recently went in for a broken leg, got a Norco prescription & orthopedic referral. After one week on Norco I began having extreme anxiety attacks. The Ortho nurse said to call my GP. I left a voicemail during the day. after 36 hours i hadnt gotten a call back, so I called the office and demanded to speak with someone. I spoke with a very sweet, calming nurse, Jessica, who suggested I come in that day for Ativan prescription. I had to get someone to take me and drop me off. The Dr. Was not in, I saw a nurse practitioner. She wrote me a prescription for brintellix, a long term antidepressant that takes 2-3 weeks to take effect. I wasnt sleeping, hyperventilating, crying, panicking the works, just awful. I didnt feel like I could wait 2-3 weeks, but she recited what sounded like an infomercial on this drug, like shed just been trained by a pharmaceutical rep. I wanted something I could take as needed & would work right away. She didnt think Norco could be the cause of these attacks. The pharmacy wanted $335 for the brintellix, I said no thanks and asked a friend for a few Xanax, which helped immediately. There are many testimonials that Norco can cause anxiety and sometimes the condition that you take it for, but all the same, thus was a terrible experience. I will talk to Dr. Boylan before I decide to find another doctor. I want my $40 co-pay back, to know why they dont return phone calls in a more timely manner and why one nurse suggests the right thing, then the NP has an entirely different plan to further aggravate your condition.

The most unprofessional and disorganized clinic I have ever seen, is nothing but a scam for the insurance companies, the staff has no idea what is doing, they are not trained for the job they are trying to do, they sent a girl with no medical training to take my blood pressure, she almost cut my arm, at the point it turned blue, I warned her my husband was there and warned her too and she did nothing, I finally ripped the arm band by myself, they billed my insurance company for test they never performed and try to bill me too, it took me hours on the phone to correct the coding and they still did not get it rightAwful experience

This is the most disorganized medical facility I have encountered. They lost my blood after drawing FIVE tubes. Vanished magically and they want me to back. No way I would return to this place.
