My appointment there was fine and seemingly productive. However, having called and left messages 3 times over 3 weeks (and once actually speaking with a person in reception) have not been called back to be given a basic piece of information I need. This is unacceptable, and, though I never write reviews, I felt it would be a disservice to others if I did not after my miserable experience with this office.

Dr. Emily riser is a very good doctor and from the very first day when I went in for an appointment and all and all the problems I been having she could relate to me and it has been difficult trying to find the right medication for me that will work but I do have to say I do not talk bad about nobody but her nurse Karen I just can not i repeat can not relate to her their is never no good communication call when i call the nurses line to talk to her or ask a question she never knows anything and do not try to do anything to help you out never in my life time have I ever seen a poor example of a nurse...Dr. Emily riser you got to do better on your nurse end..And by the way it is not just me because the day you had sent my blood work for me to do my bloodwork and send back to you the lady that was taking my blood could not understand one of the codes that was written down and she had called the office and Karen answered the phone and would not try to help the lady to figure out what the code was that you wanted my blood drawn so therefore I had to sit for a good 20 more minutes to wait till the lady and her co worker finally figure it out..Dr. emily riser is a good doctor but the nurse not good at all seem to all ways have a attitude or dont want to try to help or listen to you when you have a problem going on from a medicine you been put on.....

Honestly I dont know where I would be without Dr. Emily Riser! She kept watching the spot on my brain sure enough it did end up being a lesion. She has helped me so much through this whole process of being diagnosed with MS. She is the most kind-hearted doctor I have ever met! She truly loves her patients and I am so thankful for that....Im not just another payment.

No one will give me info to understand my blood test results. They “mimic” MS. What does that mean? Took numerous vials of blood and I was told I was being checked for mold poisoning. They did NOT do so. Was supposed to get an MRI that day. I did NOT get one after paying my co-pay. Was told they were calling in an RX. They never did and won’t call me back. Don’t waste your money. You will be just as confused as you were the day you walked in...and they will never call you back unless you call them begging for answers you will never get. They’ve left me near suicidal and in non-stop tears. No one should be treated so inhumane. My vet is much kinder to my dogs!

The only problem Ive had is if blood work shows I need an Rx, such as prescription vitamin D, it is called in to the pharmacy and the nurse who called it in does not let me know. I wonder how many Rxs have been called in, in the past, based on blood work results, that I am unaware of. I have now signed up for the WalMart pharmacy to notify me by text when a Rx is filled so I will not miss anymore but the nurse should have let me know it was being called in so that I would know I needed it and could have picked it up. Walmart puts it back in 10 days if not picked up and when you are unaware something has been called in (you didnt request it, it was called in based on the need after they received blood test results), the nurse should let you know. If they couldnt reach me, leave me a message or send me a contact letter. Great doctors though!!!

This is a wonderful clinic for ALS patients. Very easy to get into, small, and friendly. They are very caring, take their time and it is a very non-stressful experience.

My wife was diagnosed with M.S. in May 2017, which was the first time we saw Dr. Emily Riser. Less than 3 months later, were having to move to a different, more reliable practice. Dr. Riser herself has a great bedside manner and seems compassionate for the few minutes shes around. But good luck trying to contact her - or anyone else - if you have questions or need anything. Phone calls and emails are seldom returned from Dr. Riser, her nurse, Karen, or anyone else for that matter. Though the office hours claim to be 8:00 - 4:30, they shut off phones at 4pm (or at least thats what we were told when we finally did get someone on the phone.) We were also told the contact email address on their website apparently doesnt go to anyone. So to say that communication is inconsistent is an understatement. Its incredibly sad to have to watch my wife, a newly diagnosed M.S. patient, forced to invest this much time and effort trying to get answers from literally anyone at this office. What started out as a hopeful and optimistic outlook when first diagnosed, quickly turned into incredible disappointment and frustration from the lackadaisical, effortless attitude and response of those on the forefront of patient “care”.Doctor Riser may be the best in the world, but it means nothing if she - or anyone else in that office - can’t ever be reached.

Misdiagnosed by Dr .Emily Riser . Her testing was inaccurate and performed by technicians instead of the physician. She told me I was “ a drug seeker”, when all I was there for was a diagnosis. Her incompentance delayed my real diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis for 5 years and almost cost me my life. I stopped breathing and couldn’t swallow and went into a Myasthenia crisis , when she told me there was nothing wrong with me. I wish I would have sued them and held them responsible, but I was to sick and it took me many years to be able to function. Most ignorant physician I have EVER met.

I have been Dr Emily Risers patient for years and she is very personable, kind, and takes time to listen to her patients as well as explain anything in detail until she is satisfied that your questions are answered. I plan to stay her patient as long as possible.
