I have been in commercial construction for 37 years. I have told my wife if anything serious happened to me to get me to UAB. Unfortunately Ive had to take advantage of their expertise 5 times. The first 4 times they fixed me up and repaired me to the best condition I could expect. Still in the process of being restored on number 5. I am hopeful and confident they will repair me to the best condition I can receive anywhere. Thank you UAB!

I am so pleased with my experience at UAB Highlands! Done extensive X-rays to find my problem. Dr. Johnson is absolutely amazing he sat down and told me what needed to be done and explained my situation very thorough and did not take advantage by saying he would go ahead an fix my foot He said that my knee had to be fixed first before he could fix my foot. They are really great! So he referred me to Dr. Siegel

I have never had a bad experience here. I got referred to this place from another orthopedic surgeon which is strange but the surgeon who did my surgery on my ankle did and amazing job. Also, this was a very traumatic experience for me and the surgery staff and clinic staff and as xtra comforting in my time of need. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We are from the Montgomery area and expected there to be a long line to see Dr. Shah. We were shocked when he could see us in less than a week! There were mere minutes of wait time once we were checked in (which went very fast as well). Dr. Shah impressed us with his knowledge and ability to pinpoint the issues my wife was having with her feet. I was most excited to hear him say that he WILL fix her to a point where shes without pain which is something shes been dealing with for almost a year. We are both excited to start this journey to her well-being!

I ended up needing hip surgery so that was a bummer. My care team was the ABSOLUTE BEST I have ever experienced in my life! Im a retired Oncology Nurse as well, so I KNOW excellence. From the girls at the registration desk, to Ronald who took me back, to Brent who was my first nurse to Erin who was AMAZING to an old lady with spunk, lol. Then I had Anne at the end who was a spectacular end to a very unexpected day. From the cleaning folks who do an exceptional job to the other staff who werent mine for my stay. I cannot express the genuine faith and level of comfort I experienced!!!! These people at the Same Day Surgery deserve an award....seriously!!! If I were still able to work I would do everything in my power to grab everyone of them at any cost. Why? Because in a global pandemic...in a hospital present day....TRUE FAITH AND COMFORT ARE DANG NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE!!!MY TEAM DID JUST THAT!!! BRAVO!!!!

The UAB Highlnads staff are remarkable. My nurse (Shareeda??) was very sweet and attentive; showed genuine concern. Dr. Jones was also very concerned and equally nice. Dr. Siegel was very nice and the one thing I noticed about him that most doctors lack - he sat down and talked to me about my condition and his plan to help me. I am grateful. Very grateful!!!

No problems experienced. All concerns and questions were addressed. Everything was handled in a professional and friendly manner

I was very impressed with how everyone done with covid -19. They done awesome with safety and precautions with everyone. Washing of hands etc. Only problems I have They allowed me to check in with a appointment all ready scheduled but only to find out that it was 1 hour early and I sat their 2 hours before been seen. Appt was at 11 seen at a little after 2. The most painful experience ever.

All staff members were friendly and courteous. The length of my appt. was minimal which is appreciated.

Dr. Kafchinski was very easy to speak with and explained in great detail my diagnosis. Felt as she was not rushing in/out on to the next. She took the time to explain and answer every question I had, which made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Kafchinski and the Staff were Great to work with.

Great place to get quality medical attention and feel like a person and not a statistic.

Everyone was friendly and showed concern for the pain I was in due to my knees.

Dr. K and her entire staff are very friendly. Dr. K explained everything to us so that we understood. Even when using extremely confusing medical terms, she took the time to convey it to us so that the information didnt fly over our heads. Because of the care she exhibited, we decided to make the 1.5 hour drive for her to do my sons surgery when Im sure our local doctor could have done the surgery as well.My son immediately liked and trusted her.

First person you meet when you walk through the doors are the covid testers.. they greet you with a smile and take your temperature and then moved on to the check-in for the staff was great then sent to x-ray where they were absolutely great Dr Wilson and her nurse assistant May Day that was nervous for me one that I left for the smile even though and I have to get operated on Dr Wilson is down the Earth and will make you laugh I had to get a CT scan and therel I met one of the sweetest person Ive ever met.. she was a young lady that had a glow spiritual glow that was just set your heart at ease she had a hallelujah tattoo on her forearm right there I knew I was in good hands I think everything was great about this place except parking

My son and I were very pleased with his appointment with Dr. Kafchinski. All the staff, techs and doctors were very attentive and listened well, then explained options for his treatment.

Dr K is a great person.Her light shines bright.🙂God bless her.

Time wasted seeing a nurse practitioner when she was just a go between for me and the Doctor I was supposed to be seeing. Now I have to go back to see the the real Doc. I guess my time isnt valuable.

I recommend their orthopedics, Dr. Shah was able to solve my issues that were ignored for 15 years by other healthcare facilities.

Ortho group at the UAB hightlands has been ones who have gone beyond the call of duty for me. My Doctor Theiss has seen that I was given back the ability to enjoy my grandchildren once again. Thank you so much.

It was a relief to speak with Dr. Theiss and fellow Dr. Aziz about my symptoms and the surgery Ive been considering - they were both kind, patient and answered my questions clearly. Easily the best bedside manner of any medical professional Ive seen. I came away from my appointment feeling that I can make an informed decision about my health. Dr. Theiss is wonderful and instilled a lot of confidence that I can improve my quality of life with his professionalism and knowledge - it doesnt have to be confusing and scary.
