These people are top notch! From checking in to being cared for! Every person I encountered could not have been any nicer or more helpful. The nurse was amazing and the doctor was so nice and willing to talk to you! The level of care and knowledge I experienced here is like none other! I have been to my fair share of ERs in the past and this one is way above the rest! I would recommend this facility to anyone!

It is very convenient to my home and I have always had a short wait time there and excellent professionals providing the service.

Everyone was extremely friendly and showed great concern of my injury. Also the X-ray technician was very patient with me trying to get a great picture of my hand as it shuck uncontrollably due to the pain I was in. Awesome place to get emergency treatment. Thank you all for the kindness.

My entire experience at the Diagnostic Center was great. My wait time was extremely short, the facility was very clean, and literally every single person that I interacted with was genuinely kind and friendly. The woman who greeted me at the door, the woman who helped prep me for the CT scan, the gentleman who did my CT scan, and the woman who offered me a spare umbrella as I was leaving to keep me from getting drenched walking to my car.I had never gotten a CT scan before and I was a little bit nervous going into it, but they made it a breeze.Ive already told three people in one day that if they need to get any diagnostic work done, definitely try to get it done at this location.

Came in to get a diagnosis scan and I had issues with my insurance. The staff was very very helpful and did everything they could to get it fixed. It was ultimately fixed. I really appreciate the staff here for the hard work they did to help me get what I needed.

We visited the Freestanding ER for Covid. We were there for hours because the hospital didn’t have an available room. I sat in the parking lot for 11 hours. I ask if someone would please call me with information. I was told several times they would call. Not one phone call from anyone the entire visit. He was transported to the hospital in the middle of the night. No communication. My husband was given ZERO treatment until the evening nurse came in. He was the only caring person the entire day. He had urinated in bottles because he couldn’t get up. They were never emptied and sat by the bed his entire stay. He had been dehydrated and they never started fluids. His oxygen levels were low but was never put on oxygen until that evening. The staff was rude to me. I went in twice in all the hours we were there and the nurse went to my husband‘a room and told him to call me and let me know I couldn’t come in and out constantly. I had to go to the bathroom once and was asking could someone please call me with information. I have never been so frustrated and disappointed in a place. Horrible experience!!!!!!!!!! If you hate what you do find another job because people’s lives are at stake.

Very efficient operations at entry with cautious Covid precautions. Very kind and personal with each patient. Not a long wait after my scheduled time of test. Technician was kind and caring. She took time to explain everything and to be sure I was comfortable!

I would never recommend this place to anyone who is in urgent need of medical treatment THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE .My employee lost his finger in an accident I took him to this place as it was nearest but least attention was given to him I was also told to wait for his turn when my injured employee was bleeding and was going to pass out because of the pain but still the lady at the register didnt even bother to call the medical practitioner all she kept saying was he will have to wait and i asked her do u want me to wait till he dies bleeding.Luckily the other patients realized that the person needs urgent medical attention and thay let us go first in the line .WHY DO WE HAVE TO CALL IT URGENT CATE IFTHEY CANT RESPOND TO EMERGENCY

The staff was very nice and explained each step. They even allowed me to change back into my metal free clothing for my MRI I was very warm cozy and comfortable.

I had a medical emergency and called to get an indication how long their wait was. I was told they didnt hand that out. I said I understood, but explained the situation. I was told the same thing as before and then the lady hung up on me.

I visited this freestanding ER for a kidney stone last night after waiting several hours at another ER with a less than friendly staff and no sign of receiving help anytime soon. I was immediately taken back and given pain/nausea relief. The staff was SO kind and even asked my husband multiple times if they could get him anything as well. The facility is SO nice.

Went to the FED due to shortness of breath, chest pressure, headache, body aches, coughing after having COVID for 8 days. There was absolutely no compassion shown by the nurses and front desk and they even asked what would have made me come to ER. I would get so winded, begin coughing, and then feel unable to breath and wound start gasping for air. They did CXR (the tech Valerie was the only highlight to my visit) and said I had viral pneumonia in both lungs but nothing they could do for that except steroid shot and cough syrup. I was so weak I almost passed out with steroid shot, told nurse I wasn’t feeling good had to get wet paper towels to cool myself to keep from passing out because she didn’t seem the least bit concerned . I had to ask for water twice I was so hot and desperately needed some kind of fluid to drink. When I arrived home and looked over my discharge papers, they aren’t even mine?! I now have the entire ED record of a patient that arrived there before I did with their entire medical history and I’m wondering who might have mine. I’ve worked in Healthcare for 23 years, even for this company, and the lack of compassion, professionalism, patient care, and sense of urgency when a patient felt in distress was non-existent. I should have continued to drive to Grandview rather than waste my time, money, health here and now be concerned about who received my medical history.

I do not know the young lady who I initially spoke to you set up my first appointment she was very courteous and polite and very helpful. I did call back to see if there was a time I can get in that same day and she arrange an appointment for that same day. She was awesome !! When I got to Brookwood Imagingthe lady who checked me in was also amazing polite and helpful ! The US tech was great and of course the radiologist who read my US got it done ASAP to my surprise!!! He deserves kudos And he sent to my LYNN Maiden CRNP who then promptly messaged me through the portal.she is awesome !! Tks for a great experience. Only negative is the phone system. As in any medical facility trying to not have to wait for which I did and working in the medical field between patients I initially had to hang up because of the wait. But once I did speak to the young lady it was great !!!!!!

Nurse Cindy was very rude. Rushing and seemed very unconcerned. This is not somewhere I’d go for major issues. Not my first bad experience with them but Cindy was the worst. She was in my room less than 10 seconds. I’ll be filing a report.

If it was not for Dr Allan Yielding I would find another Hospital fast.He is a awesome .The Gastroenterology Dr was not very informative. Ask for a Phone call from him almost a week ago and still no call. The Nurse was so bad on the 7th floor. The Patient was fall risk and the but the potty chair by her bed tell her to get on it and walk away. On her release I was told she would not answers my questions because she was going to Lakesure.

I cant say enough how friendly & caring the staff was to me. I had never had an MRI before & the staff took time to go over what to expect since they could tell I was nervous. Once it was over they told me to take my time getting up. I appreciate them going above & beyond to make me feel comfortable. I highly recommend to anyone to use them. I promise you wont be sorry you did. Thank you for taking excellent care of me while I was there.

Visited here and felt so welcome by Nurse Rhiannon! She was so kind, relatable, and made all of our stress disappear. These are troublesome times and too see a health care working maintaining a bright positive attitude really gives you a grand appreciation for people like Rhiannon.

I was positive for covid, but my blood oxygen saturation levels dropped to critical levels. I walked in did not have to go into great detail, I was back and being taken care of. The nurses, doctor were amazing. They got the ambulance there immediately and transported me to major hospital. I was in serious, critical condition...they were amazing.

Very professional and courteous staff and technologists. I went to their new outpatient imaging facility at hwy 119, which was beautiful and spotless. They were able to do my imaging to my orthopedics exact specifications. I highly recommend this facility.

This hospital is usually my favorite ER to go to because they are very fast and the DRs are very caring. But number one from my visit around 630-645pm on 10/23/2020 the nurse i had (whom name they would not issue onto my paperwork although she came into my room) she was so rude! I’m the midst of me speaking to her about my swollen uvula (when i can barely talk) she cuts me off and tells me she will come back once i am off of the phone (which i am on the phone with the surgeon who actually did my surgery and he just wanted to communicate somethings to the DR so i politely asked her well can she get the DR to come back in so that i can speak with him. This lady told me “NO I CANNOT” in that exact tone. This is only a google review love because the nursing board will hear about her. No one with that attitude needs to work with any sick patients who nag and complain 24/7 if they have an issue. And as far as the DR he actually partially did his job.. we will see if the medication he gave me helps. Because my surgeon actually wanted a culture done on me.. which would’ve been smart but he just looked at my throat at decided what kind of bacteria infection i had and treated me for that. And he half way listened to anything i had to say as soon as he walked though the door. But God bless them all i hope to God no one treats there kids or nieces and nephews the way they treated me lastnight. And whoever the nice lady was who clocked in at 7 she was so sweet with great bed side manners! God bless you!! No exam. No X-rays. No blood test. Just a discussion for 10 minutes with the doctor about a swollen saliva gland and was given an antibiotic. The amount charged was a ludicrous amount of $2030!!!!! I will never go back and will never refer a friend.

I took my husband to the Brookwood Freestanding ER this afternoon for COVID complications. We were both scared about going, not only about his condition, but also about how we would be treated. The horror stories of overworked staff, patients left all alone, not properly taken care of and family not able to be with their loved ones. The first thing we noticed is the cleanliness and orderliness of their facility. It was spic and span with signage everywhere directing us where to go and what to do. Registration was quick and easy and he was called back within minutes. I questioned the policy about family members not being allowed to stay with the patient. I was worried and upset. And being in the medical field myself, I did not want to leave him alone. The staff were all so understanding and sympathetic with me. The charge nurse reassured me that they would keep me involved in his care every step of the way by communicating with me by phone. I was skeptical but went to my car. I heard from the doctor the first time within 10 minutes. He was open and listened to me to get all the symptoms I was concerned about. I heard from him again in about 40 minutes, all the testing quickly done and explaining his diagnosis, plan of care and answered all my questions patiently. This compassion and care was so refreshing and inspiring. Even though I know those Drs, Nurses and Staff were all tired they treated me like I mattered. Like I would be treated if I were their family. This is the way healthcare should be done.

Seen yesterday in freestanding ER. Not one person, introduced themselves to me as to name or title. They performed test after test, even though I told them I felt like I did when I last had Bronchitis! The first thing I learned in nursing school, was, “listen to your patient, they know their body better, than you ever will”.

Very friendly, efficient staff: I went in for an ultrasound and was out in less than 30 minutes.

The staff was so kind & answered all my questions. Great service. The whole visit was finished within an hour. Very pleased

I was a walk-in, having been sent straight from my doctors office. The office staff were so NICE! But also very efficient, but treating me as a valued customer, not an interruption to their already (obviously from the waiting room) very busy day.Even as a walk-in, I was seen for an x-ray and a sonogram within 15 minutes of my arrival, and they clearly told me what to expect, and how and when my doctor would be notified of the results. They left me with no questions whatsoever!You can BET, if I need an x-ray, or mammogram, or sonogram in the future, I will ask to come to Brookwood Freestanding Clinic! Yall ROCK!!

The workers are all so kind and friendly. They get you in and out very quickly. They even offer you a snack and a drink when youre leaving. Great place.

I had little time to wait, in XRay I was very impressed at the skill used to find the problem I had c/o since my surgery. It was just a lot of finding the right angle. So very happy to finally find the reason for the pain.Thank you D. Christofferson.

I brought my husband here because it was the only place open after coming in on a late flight. My husband had a terrible sinus infection and was in a lot of pain from the altitude of the plane. When we arrived the place was pretty much empty and we went right back. My husband had two shots and got an x-ray. We were there approximately 1 1/2 hours which was nice. The shocker was when I received our bill. My insurance doesnt pay very much on an ER visit so I was left with a $3,100 bill. This my friends is why insurance is so high. When I called to ask if they could give me a discount they refused and wouldnt budge on the bill. My insurance company called and was able to get the bill lowered only if I paid in full. The amount they offered wasnt low enough so it looks like they will be getting payments for the next few years. We have made our first and last visit to any Brookwood Baptist facility.

Patient comfort does not appear to be a priority here. Some of the staff are friendly but the staff overall lacks empathy. When someones heart rate monitor starts sending alarms you would think someone would at least check to make sure everything is okay. Nope. Didnt happen. My wife came originally at 3:30 with flu symptoms after being sent by our primary care doc. They released her an hour later after administering pain medicine for an already nauseous patient. Within the next hour she was physically ill 10 times and we had to return. They have a sign that says expect to wait 30 minutes after injections to be discharged. This absolutely did not happen and she was released minutes after her injection. Now we had to readmit on top of her symptoms being exacerbated from our first visit. I asked a nurse if there was any update to which she responded were full right now and made a sound associated with theres nothing I can do. I understand people may have more pressing injuries but the nurses job is to ensure the highest level of comfort possible. Here though, their job appears to be sitting at desks.

They were fast, friendly, and professional. What more can you expect?

Love the convenience, easy parking at the door, modern clean bright facility. Friendly quick check in. Very little waiting, if any. Qualified caring staff, technicians, new equipment, prompt reading of images, within hours in my case. They send directly to your doctor same day. I was in and out of there in less than 30 to 40 minutes for a CT scan with contrast.

10/10 would get an MRI there again. I received headphones and a blanket during the MRI and snacks and a drink after. staff was so sweet too!!

If you want to spend an extra $1k of your deductible and the cost of an ambulance ride to a real hospital, then by all means go here. I’ve been twice, once for kidney stones and once for esophageal issues and both times they didn’t help and I had to be transported to a hospital for real care. They can’t do more that a doc in the box, they are just open 24 hrs.

I arrived and checked in. It was only a matter of about 10 minutes and I was taken to the back by a very polite escort. Once in the procedure room, the technician introduced himself and explained the procedure exactly as it was to take place and it happened exactly that way. I was then free to go. All total I spent 31 minutes there from opening door arrival to opening the door at departure. FANTASTIC

The staff took great care of me. I had a seizure during a routine MRI procedure and was immediately taken to the er and treated. The whole time the staff remained calm and in control of the situation. It was handled so flawlessly you would have thought it was a TV show! I will definitely be using them for any needs in the future these gus are top notch!

I went to this ER about a month ago. They got in and out fairly quickly but doctor violated HIPPA. Im 24 years old and was there with my mom. I never signed any sheet or verbally confirmed that the doctor could talk to my mom without my permission or presence. He pulled my mom outside the room and told her he was testing me for something that I know that I didn’t have. He also falsely diagnosed me with 3 different diseases that I never had. I wouldn’t suggest going if you don’t want your patients rights to be violated.

Every time I have gone to this clinic it has been an easy event. No wait time, thorough exams, easy parking and access to entrance.

Waiting time was minimal (given COVID-19 restrictions), and the staff was friendly and professional.

This was a great ER. Probably the least I have had to wait to get a room. They were fast and effective. Got a CT scan in about 20 minutes and the results about 5 minutes after the scan. Dr. Rickets was cool and funny. Would definitely recommend to any of my friends.

I had seen the Dr and had blood drawn and an order for thyroid ultrasound. There was one lady having an ultrasound on my arrival and once her test was finished I had my ultrasound. I didn’t have an appointment, I was a walk in. This was the second time I had used this facility. I recommend it to anyone!

August 23, 815 am, pull in parking lot and go directly to desk, within 5 minutes of check in I am being escorted back, nurse walks in directly behind me and starts the process, long story short by 841 AM I had been diagnosed, received my prescriptions, and paid my copay and walking out the doors. EVERYONE WAS AMAZING! This place is a definite asset for Hoover. Great job to ALL, Dr. Rickett you are awesome.

Dr. Beverly was very thorough and considerate. I had to have cat scans of my neck and lower spine due to terrible whip lash from being rear ended (car wreck). The nurse, Regina made me feel so comfortable and talked to my 4 year old son. She lifted him up in the restroom to wash his hands as she knew I could not lift him. I’m thankful the paramedics brought me here.

Same day appointment, great front desk staff, super easy process for my CT scan.

I will say that they are extremely aware of wait times and do their very best to have you back in a room ASAP. I’ve had several great experiences here but this last one with the flu is why I won’t return. Dr. Made me feel like an idiot and refused to help me calm my symptoms. He even said “it’s just the flu, quit crying. You’re not going to die “. Wow! Horrible service tonight!!

If you want true medical care that is genuine & sincere, don’t go here. Both times I have been here I have been laughed at and made fun of. They do not even pretend to care. My sister went this morning for a lower back injury preventing her from walking. She can hardly breathe yet they laughed at her as well and refused to take any xrays or do any kind of tests. Will not be returning.

This was the most positive experience we could have ever asked for at an ER! Fast check in, prompt attention from nurses and the doctor, and everyone was incredibly kind and compassionate. If you are in need of emergency attention, this ER is definitely the place to go!

SCAM ALERT***Stay away at all costs! I went in for one thing, they said I needed tons of tests, images, scans, which I declined, as I knew they werent necessary. They forced them upon me, all the results came back negative (except for one which was misdiagnosed), then I got several outrageous bills. A little over $3,000, when I went in for a couple x-rays of one area. They went ahead and did multiple other areas, then insisted on a CT Scan. I offered a reasonable settlement, only to be treated rudely and laughed at. This is morally wrong and is ultimately a scam. Shame. I will NEVER set foot in any Brookwood facility. Oh yeah, I have health insurance as well. The original total was 27K, when all I wanted was 2 or 3 x-rays of one area! Actually my rating is 0 stars, but that isnt an option. Well end up in court, bc I will NOT be paying for anything that I refused. I should have just walked out, but I will NEVER make that mistake again!

The check in was quick and easy and our wait wasn’t too long. My child had cut his hand pretty badly and the triage nurse never looked at it. This was concerning to me. The next thing we knew, we were taken to a room where a friendly PA came in with a suture kit and stitched up his hand. The dr came in towards the end and said his name and then talked to the PA about another patient. We waited 1.5 hrs after the stitches for discharge papers.

When I went to the ER I was a little over a month out from having left knee surgery but had some pain on my left side for about 3 days,but I decide to get it checked out went there they check me from head to toe and found that I had blood clots in both my lungs and one on my left leg and They immediately admitted me into the hospital, if it hadn’t been for the great doctors and staff at this facility I might not be writing this review today. I highly recommend this facility

Last visit, they were hateful. They were telling me what medication I take. As a counselor in the 18th Judicial Circuit. Most of my clients have substance abuse issue. Regardless, I know what meds I take.

Great hospital if you go there during night shift, they are very friendly and helpful, and very timely. Ive been there once during day shift which was today. During my ultrasound I suffered a seizure at which time the ultrasound technician (a red headed lady by the name of Sarah) became very rude and unprofessional. She was making comments to the other 4 ladies in the room about how the test was unnecessary because I was just there the night before (with a ruptured ovarian cyst) and how I shouldnt have come to the er and many other unprofessional remarks which her and the other ladies assisting her where laughing about. Not only was I criticized and made fun of by this lady I was also assaulted by her causing injury to me. If you have to have this procedure done please take a friend or family member with you for your protection and if possible avoid letting this lady work on you.

This facility is very nice and I was very happy with the Dr. However, my nurse was horrible. Uncaring, uninterested and unprofessional. This is why I gave a 3 star. Getting my records was frustrating and I was charged to get my own records. Redirected several times. Left hand didnt know what the right hand was doing.

Warning!! Do not go the this ER by yourself or they will take advantage of you, my sister went there one night by herself she went in for an allergic reaction and whatever the nurse Barbara gave her via iv has made her very ill till this day. We even reached out to the hospital about the situation, but no one seems to care.

I’m so upset that I was stupid enough to stop at the Brookwood free standing ER. When I arrived there was 1 car in the parking lot and nobody in the waiting room. The receptionist was a sweet soul and very helpful. I set in an exam room for 1 1/2 hours and never saw a Dr.. when I stepped out to the desk I was told the facility was full. After being insulted by the nurse I just walked out and on the way out I counted 5 empty rooms and nobody in the waiting room.Typical Brookwook, understaffed and rude.If I was in a bad accident and found my ambulance headed to Brookwood I would panic.

I now have 4 incidents that landed me and 1 of my 6 children at Brookwood Baptist ER off of 280. This place has really been heaven sent! I dont have to go all the way downtown to childrens because they can handle it here! Not only that but there is very little wait if any and that is also true in the room as well. All the doctors ,nursrs, and staff are also so uplifting and caring! Ive never had one time bad to say about them! Exceptional patient care!

I walked in at 6:55 and was out by 7:30. This is no exaggeration. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend.

It was a fast check in with little wait but they were terribly understaffed. One ER doc, three nurses and every room full. We were there for 5 hours and had to seek care several times that night. The nurses were so scattered with the volume that they were making statements of things we needed and then forget to order or bring them. One bathroom was out of order and there are only 2 for then entire ER. Patients were having to walk a good distance to use the restroom or give urine samples. With only two wheelchairs available, it was a risky walk for some. Depending on the traffic, it may be better to just go on down to Childrens and get the all hands on deck ER environment.

The best staff of any experience I have encountered in an er! Very fast and compassionate! Thank you for your awesome service!
