Dr. Swanson is so kind and accommodating to all medical needs. Making an appointment as a new patient was easier and quicker than expected so that was an awesome plus ! Very knowledgeable staff who made me feel so comfortable during my visit!

I called yesterday 8/18/21 to schedule a typical physical. Nothing crazy. The nurse who answered said the doctor was out to lunch (it was 10:30am, but whatever). She said that the doctor would have to determine if I was ELIGIBLE for one. If I was, then i was told id have to visit a lab somewhere to have blood drawn and after that, then I could schedule a physical. So basically Id have to take time off work on two separate days to have done what most doctors accomplish in one visit. Anyways...She said that she would have him call me when he returned from lunch. Here I am, almost 36 hours later, no phone call. Nothing. The way she said he had to decide on doing my physical made me feel like I had to be voted in to the practice (My insurance policy and what it covers is pretty top notch, so thats never been an issue). now, Ive been to see this doctor before as a new patient back in February or March for a physical. I wasnt told any of this information in the beginning and they scheduled me an appointment, no questions asked. When I showed up, I wasnt feeling well and mentioned it to the staff. Since we live in the age of COVID, I wasnt able to have my physical for the fear that I may have contracted it. I completely understand that. No big deal. They did a test and called me three days later to tell me it was negative. The nurse stated that I could call back whenever to reschedule my physical. Fast forward to now, I tried to make an appointment, and it seems that this might be some sort of exclusive practice that Im not worthy of. I ended up calling another doctor in my BCBS network this afternoon and I have an appointment next week. No questions asked from the new doctor and Im going into this other practice as a new patient....My sibling works for Blue Cross in benefits and even agreed that this was a very strange scenario. If youre reading this, I would beware of this doctor. Ive never in my 44 years had such a sketchy experience. Setting an appointment to have a physical shouldnt be this difficult.

Greystone Family Medicine is by far the best Primary Care clinic in Birmingham. My husband sees Dr. Swanson and he has taken amazing care of him for last four plus years. I see Dr. Stevenson for going on six years now. She is thoughtful, caring and truly and amazing doctor that cares about her patients and their overall well-being.Both doctors truly care for their patients and go above and beyond to make sure that they are well taken care of! Both Dr. Swansons nurse and Dr. Stevensons nurse are by far amazing and go above and beyond to make sure that we are taken care of and have wonderful communication skills. They both are the best nurses I have ever dealt with. We could not be more blessed to have such amazing Primary Care Providers and Nurses. God really looked out for us when we started using them! Suzanne at the front desk is wonderful and I appreciate all they do for us. I could never repay them for their amazing care and kindness. I work in the medical field and can say this practice is by far the best I have ever been too!!!!

Dr. Swanson is one of the best doctors I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, he’s nice, funny, and always so helpful. Staff was also very sweet, they got me in and out so much faster than my last place which has made everything so much easier

Dr Stevenson has been my physician for several years. I have also worked with her and see how much she cares for her patients. She is very knowledgeable, listens and truly wants to help. Very kind and personable. E tire staff is nice, k ow and lo e Martha.

I am so very thankful I found Dr Michael Swanson and his staff! Since day one Kippy and Robin have gone out of their way to not only take care of my needs but my spiritual needs also. Dr. Swanson is very cary, takes more time than most doctors I have been to, to listen and understand my problems. Dr. Swanson has been my doctor for over 3 years. He cares alot about his patients and their well being. I am very thankful to have him as my doctor. The whole office staff is exceptional and very caring. Dr Stevenson is also great, I have seen her when Dr Swanson was unavailable. I cant imagine ever changing to another doctors office!

I did not enjoy my visit. I went with my husband to get some things figured out. He saw Dr. Swanson and neither of us liked him. He took one symptom out of several that my husband had and diagnosed him with something that he has no other symptoms for. He seemed rude and in a bad mood. Going to get a second opinion from another doctor soon!

Dr. Swanson is a great doctor, the staff is helpful and friendly and best of all they keep on schedule - no long waits in the waiting room.

Everyone here is wonderful. Highly recommend Dr. Stevenson and her entire staff!

I made an appointment here for a month out. When I show up for the appointment the receptionist was rude and did not have my appointment scheduled. As with any medical office, you can be a great doctor but it is worthless if you have rude and incompetent staff members. I will not reschedule here.

Update: about 2 weeks after posting this review, I received a letter stating that they would no longer provide health care to me. They did not state any reason why, so Im assuming this review is why. They resolved these issues is a very highly unprofessional manner. Oh, and the imaging center finally received the order for the MRI, but it wasnt until after the review was posted that they received it.Ive been going here the past year. The nurses have bad attitudes, I now have nerve damage in my left arm from a simple blood draw from last November, done by an experienced nurse here. I have struggled with getting them to take proper action on issues and symptoms that Ive had. Last year, multiple kidney stones were misdiagnosed as being colon spasms, and even after an xray showing the many stones, I was still told that my pains were from my colon (WRONG). Ive had kidney issues since I was 16, Im familiar with the pain by the age of 30. Ive been in for pain from my jaw, around my ear, and behind my ear on my mastoid bone that is also swollen, was told theyd order a MRI after I had several issues with other doctors bouncing me from one to the next, none wanting to find the issue, thought she would be more promising in helping... a month has passed by and no MRI has been ordered. They also wont return my calls. This swelling and pain has gone on since October of last year. This is just a few of the things Ive tried to overlook in hopes to get a better result eventually. Unless youre sick with a common cold, or have easily diagnosed symptoms, dont bother.
