Dr. Fischer corrected my left inguinal hernia recently. Throughout the process he thoroughly explained the problem, the risks, why it needed repair, as well as surgery prep and post op. His website videos were also extremely helpful. I have had zero issues as a result from the surgery. From the first appointment to the last follow up he provided me exceptional care. Just as important as his technical skills as a surgeon, Dr. Fischer treated me like family and not just another appointment. Its this level of care that sets him apart. Very empathetic and knowlegable Dr. He did my surgical biopsy and I couldnt have asked for a more compassionate Dr. He even asked me before the surgery if Id like to pray with him. Never had a Dr do that before and it meant so much to me as a cancer survivor. He also made sure I understood all that was involved and the follow up care. St Vincents North tower outpatient staff was wonderful as well.

Dr. Fischer is the best surgeon. Very kind and gentle, he cares about his patients and answers every question. His staff is very sweet too! They stayed late waiting for me to come to into his office so he could check me, because I was in a lot of pain. That very next day he removed my gallbladder.I was very nervous to go under. I was praying to God to please be with me and to show me that He was with me. Dr. Firscher came by my bed side and told me that he prays with his patients before surgery and he prayed with me. Caring doctor but freaks out if something out of the norm happens during surgery I will never know why I had a heartatack while on the op table but he scared my wife to death in op waiting room wanting to know who my heart doctor was.She knew nothing for hours One day surgery turned into 5 nights and days in hospital.Gotta keep your cool under pressure anything can go wrong when put under but dont scare the family to death ty
