I was billed for services that were not done. I was asked to fill out a survey asking about my sleeping, whether I had experienced any depression and if if drank alcohol. I was then billed $60 for a a depression screen and an alcohol screen!!

I started seeing Dr. Goolsby in 2019 after an unfortunate miscarriage due to massive fibroids. I made it known that my husband and I wanted children and Dr. Goolsby reassured me that hed do all that he could to help me. He performed my myomectomy in Nov 19 and my recovery was smooth. June 2020 my husband and I successfully conceived our baby boy. Dr. Goolsby was always positive no matter how big I made problems seem. What I admire most is that he was just as excited as we were after the birth of our sweet boy. We both laughed about how Id come a long way since first visiting the office. We are so grateful for Dr. Goolsby for helping us through this difficult process. I enjoyed my prenatal check ups and will definitely miss seeing them often. I highly recommend Dr. Goolsby. Plus, Tameika is is the best.

If you want to keep your baby, I wouldnt trust him. He is a terrible doctor, and a terrible listener.

Dr. Goolsby seemed to be a nice and kind man. However, I would say that he and staff recommended several tests and screenings. The benefits of these tests were explained, but the risks were not explained to me. I share this review so that people who want to be informed are aware that they may need to do a little more research on the risks of tests and procedures before submitting to them.

Dr. Goolsby delivered my last child via c-section 8 years ago. A few days ago, I saw him due to some gynecological issues that I am having. His staff is so polite and courteous. I was greeted with a smile by everyone that I came in contact with. Dr. Goolsby evaluated my condition and gave me all of the options available to me. And today, he personally called to make sure that I fully understand my options. He could have had his nurse call, but he called instead. Not only is he a great physician, he has an amazing personality. Ive already referred two of my co-workers to him.

I saw Dr Sharp with both my pregnancies and loved this whole entire practice! I switched from a much larger group and was welcomed by the whole staff when I started there. Everyone is so friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. When I started out there I was in the beginning stages of going through infertility and they were so helpful through the whole process. I would recommend this group over and again to anyone looking for an OB/GYN!

Dr. Goolsby is beyond wonderful. The staff there is absolutely amazing. Dr. Goolsby makes you feel secure and safe, without making you feel like any question you ask is not important. Hes down to earth and will let you know if he cant or dont advise you to do something. Ive been to a few Dr.s and hes surely the best one Ive ever had.

I love Dr Goolsby. He has been my doctor for almost 14 years. He is the best. He is always shown concern about me as his patient. He was very accommodating and patient when he explained to me what was going to happen when I had to have an emergency hysterectomy. I have been with him when his nurse was Ms Debra (loved her to pieces) and now Ms Tomeka ( I love her as well). The front staff has always been helpful and sweet to me since day one. They are like my other family. Thank you Dr. Goolsby and staff for your patients, concern, and knowledge to keep me healthy. Your biggest fan.

Love Dr. Goolsby!! He and the staff took such wonderful care of me during my first pregnancy. He safely delivered my baby boy and I will definitely be using him again for future pregnancies.

Dr. Stone and the rest of Sharp, Stone and Goolsby helped make my first pregnancy as easy and enjoyable as it could possibly be. Dr. Stone made my husband and I so comfortable and was extremely patient with all of our first time parent questions! I give a review of 50/50 for now. The staff are kind of nosey but over all the best customer service I ever ever had. And the doctor seems to be highly skilled but not tactful and a poor listener when I have some valid concerns. He seems to be trying to do better so i will hope this experience is what we make it. Hope for the best. Im being honest, detailed and fair.

Dr Sharp is a great OB/GYN . He actually listens and was able to diagnose a problem I have had for years with no clear answers from other doctors.

I had the pleasure of being one of Dr. Robert Goolsby’s patients throughout my 2nd pregnancy experience. From the moment that I walked into his office, I felt at home. His nurse Tameka was always a joy to work with, always concerned with how I felt, knowledgeable regarding my care and desires, and always willing to listen to any concerns that I had. I knew I’d found the right place. I went through Monogram Maternity and customized a birth plan. It was one of my favorite parts of the process; however on the day of delivery, unforeseen circumstances arose and this is where I was able to really see this office shine. Dr. Goolsby acted quickly, professionally, he was so knowledgeable about how to handle each scenario my body threw at him. We were blessed to have him as a physician and we are so thankful that God allowed us to cross paths with this amazing set of healthcare professionals. We highly recommend this practice and we encourage soon to be mom’s out there to give them a try! You will be so glad you did. Thank you Dr. Goolsby and the Sharpe & Stone staff! Dr. Goolsby was first my moms OBGYN and still is. At 16 he became mine. He has delivered my church members children, my friends, my families, and two of my five. The reason I had to switch is to be left unsaid due to my own person issues but in the mist of Dr. Robinnet now retired at Brookwood was awesome as well. Dr. Goolsby, is like family to me along with his nurse Tameika. They are the sweetest most calming pair (Debra his old nurse was as well). I have nothing to say about him that is anything less than amazing. He has done my tubal ligation. I’m very pleased and comforted when I’m I’m under his care!

Dr.Stone had been my Dr for 10yrs now and about to deliver my 2nd child.... Great bedside manners and great nurse Gina...you guys rock!

My poor review has been erased so I’ll repost. Maybe not quite the long story as before but I will say, this is my daughters 25th week of pregnancy, Doc delivered her first baby who was premature (born at 35 weeks) and tested positive for MCAD. This pregnancy is EXTREMELY high risk and she was dropped because her insurance had a glitch in it for a span of 3 weeks. So she’s now 5 weeks past the time she was supposed to start getting the shots that help prevent premature birth (she was dropped on her 20th week), we are taking all the steps needed to get her into UAB but we can’t get the lost weeks back AND she has had the flu this last week. Refusal of medical care should be against the law, especially if a patient offers to pay for the visits until the glitch in insurance could get sorted out (which was done so within 3 weeks). I have names, dates and occurrences. If there are complications with this baby’s birth, it won’t be pretty for this doctor’s office.****update**** my daughter had the baby yesterday (3/23/18) at 30 weeks gestation. Had she had the proper care she needed and not given the runaround, it’s likely that we could have avoided this altogether. The doctors office will be hearing from us soon.

Dr. Goolsby is the nicest, most down to earth doctor Ive ever had. He is always very attentive and really listens to what I say, then helps solve problems that might come up. The girls in the front office arent usually very nice, but I think thats just par for the course in OB/GYN offices.
