This is the second time Ive used this place. Staff has always been super friendly and informative. Once you are in they make you feel at ease about any procedure, no matter how nervous you may or may not be. 10 out of 10 would recommend them to anyone.

Check-in was so simple and fast. Very punctual with wait time. Everyone greeted me and made me feel like family. It was such a relaxing atmosphere and Dr McKay and his nurse and assistants were FANTASTIC! They answered all my questions and concerns. Excellent experience! Highly recommend this group!!

Im 61 years old, first time ever having any kind of major dental procedure, tooth extraction, a very pleasant and uneventful experience. The staff and dentist was extremely thorough and professional. 2 days out, no major complications at all. Highly recommend Alabama Oral & Facial Surgery.

The doctor and his staff are extremely nice and caring. They all could see how nervous I was and calmed me down nicely. Everything went well and I am happy so far with the results.

I have never been treated better at any dentist or doctor or even any customer service business. Dr. McKay is at the top of his profession and and the entire support staff is incredible. The hope is that you may not need oral surgery but if you do Alabama Oral should be the choice!

The staff at the front desk were very personable, efficient and professional. The medical staff were very nice and knowledgeable. Dr McKay explained the procedure well and answered all questions. My son had his wisdom teeth removed. He states he remembers getting the IV and the next thing he remembers is being at home. The whole process was very streamlined and efficient. No extended waiting, but yet we did not feel that our care was rushed. Very pleased with the care of my son and would highly recommend.

Very friendly staff. They explain in details of what is going on and whats going to happen. Even shown concern about taking care of a matter other than the dental problem.

Very nice at the time of consultation and receptionist was efficient to fax my x-rays over. However, I was told that they would be contacting me with a plan for my possible dental implants and I never heard back. I gave them 6 weeks before I called and left a message with the receptionist that I was waiting for an update from the consultant/doctor. I understand that I have a difficult case and they told me it would take time but it has been over 5 months and I have yet to hear anything from the office, despite leaving a message with the receptionist. If it was unable to be done, I would have at least liked a call back to inform me of this. I have waited long enough and am transferring care to a different office in hopes that I can at least be contacted about my issues.

It was 4th down with 8 yards to and I had to make a move and fast to get these teeth out which had suppose to have been taking out at 14 years of age I’m 37 now. Dr. Henry McKay the 3rd took care of me and my 4 impacted wisdom teeth and they got me in staff was friendly,great, I was in and out very pleased thank u so much Alabama Oral & Facial Surgery. Forever grateful!!

After a horrendous experience with a similar place, I found myself at Alabama Oral & Facial surgery. From the moment I walked in, it was a completely different experience. Everyone was kind, understanding, and very sensitive to my previous experience and anxiety. Should I ever need work done again, they will be my first call. I can’t give enough stars for the amazing service here from start to finish.

They took great care of me. Had my surgery done in about an hour. Doctors were very helpful and kind to me, as well as made me feel at home and relaxed as I had never been under anesthesia before. They explained everything thoroughly before AND after surgery on how to take care of myself and heal properly. Would highly recommend.

I had a good experience with my visit and surgery at the Alabama Oral & Facial Surgery Center. Everyone was very nice and kept me informed every step of my procedure. I am now recovering well and don’t expect to have any problems.

My daughter had 4 wisdom teeth removed. She is terrified of shot. They did a wonderful job. She said, one minute she started crying and the next she was awake and it was done. She said they gave her the good stuff. They were very professional, understanding, and nice.

I had to have an unexpected tooth extraction/bone graft and was able to get an appointment the same day! Dr. Wilson was excellent in explaining everything as I had never had any dental work done like this before. He happily and expertly answered all my questions and developed a plan for me long term.

Front office was friendly and efficient. The medical staff was friendly, smart, and communicated well. The doctor explained things in ways that were clearly understood, and he weighed options in common-sense ways.

Love Dr. Wilson! He takes time to explain things and Everyone at the Pell City office is so nice.

I dont want to go into detail about my recent experience right now. All I can say is that I think everyone in this place was sent to me by God!! Everyone treated me as if I were a close family member! And where is that doctor of mine??? I wanted to see him before I left yesterday morning! And why does everyone working there look like a supermodel??? Highly recommend this place!

Every one was really nice and Professional the Surgery was quick to the best of my knowledge because I was asleep😂 felt no pain until I got home if I had one Critique it would be once the procedure is over and the client wakes up just Notify them how to take care of themselves .. as soon as I was awake kind of the next thing I know I was placed in a wheelchair and was taken to my car .. where I was told have a nice day and that was it .. I think that part was the only thing I was a lil disappointed with also had a 3D X-ray I did not get a copy of when I was told I was .. cost $185 which I did not know until after they took the X-ray… overall I did have a great experience Considering it was oral surgery and I didn’t feel a thing so I am grateful for that and as I said they are excellent doctors ,nurses and receptionist I think you!!SincerelyShawn Scott

We had such a great experience you just get a sense of peace as you walk in the door. Everyone was so friendly and explained everything upfront. My oldest daughter had her wisdom teeth out here a couple of years ago and had the same great experience and this time my 2 middles had theirs out together! Dr. Rothman personally came out to the car afterwards as they loaded them up to tell me how it went and said that we are in their prayers🙌🏻 thank you! The ride home was the only challenge of having them done together as they were coming off anesthesia! 😂

I am so pleased that my regular dentist recommended Alabama Oral and Facial surgery clinic. The staff including doctors, nurses, and front desk staff were extremely friendly and very informative. We were walked through the entire process by the doctor upon our arrival, we were kept updated during the procedure, and were given final instruction by the doctor upon completion. This office/staff was extremely professional, while being very friendly/personal. Dr. Rothman was very thorough, kind and relatable to my teenager. The entire process from arrival to leaving was very prompt, organized informational. We were in and out of the parking lot, in less than an hour and a half total. Dr. Rothman himself called us that same evening to check on Ethan and answer any questions or concerns that we had.I have already recommended Dr. Rothman and his office staff, and will continue to do so. Very pleased with everything.

Every single person at this facility was AMAZING! From the receptionist, to the nurses , and to Dr. Rothman. I had to have 2 wisdom teeth removed and everything was successful! They answered all of my questions, made me feel comfortable, and the process was done in what felt like 15-20 minutes! It is going on 3 days post op for me and I have no pain at all. I highly recommend this place as they are welcoming and highly professional!

Got my wisdom teeth out by Dr. Rothman and I have the worst anxiety over the dentist or anything surrounding my mouth. All of the staff was amazing and so sweet, would 100% recommend. If I ever need anything surrounding mouth surgery again he is who I will go see without a doubt. I am on going on day four post-op and am healing so well, they know what they’re doing!

My husband and I went solely on the recommendation of our family dentist (Nick Brown).From registration to post-op, the experience was great! I had a very good experience from the front desk through to post surgery. The out of pocket expenses were explained thoroughly up front by the staff. Dr Rothman was very patient in describing my extraction/implant procedure and was also knowledgeable in making choices for non gluten medications! I would highly recommend the team at AOFS!

I have to say that I was very pleased. My procedure didnt go as simple as it was supposed to but sometimes you run into those issues. Each staff member that came into my room was extremely professional and so sweet. Dr took the time to go out to my husband and explained why it took longer and he explained it to a T. Great experience! Quick in and out, but not rushed. Everything was thoroughly explained and I felt very confident in Dr Rothman. I also really appreciated the call to check up in the evening.

I came in with two very angry teeth, no one around me was able to see me nearly as quick as I was seen here!! The surgery went so quick, and everyone GORL the nurses, doctors, and techs were so nice the whole time!! I loves how Sweet Angela (I believe that’s her name, I was under anesthesia...) was to me, she made the whole experience super easy!!

They are great! The staff are so sweet, they will go out of their way to do whatever you ask and make you as comfortable as possible. My fiancé has been terrified of dentist since he was a kid has gotten up and walked out of a bunch. One appt at this place and he walks out smiling saying “he’s pretty cool.” It don’t sound like much but honestly it was a miracle to just get him back into a oral surgeons office. So don’t pass them up!

I was sent to them thru a recommendation from Helena Family Dentist and I’m so glad I went! Dr Rothman and his team really are the best! Our dentist recommended Dr Rothman a few years ago when my son needed his wisdom teeth removed. We trusted him and his recommendation so we went. The experience from the moment you schedule was great! The day after my son’s surgery, Dr Rothman himself called to check on him. THAT left an impression on me so when it came time to have my daughter’s wisdom teeth removed, there wasn’t any other choice! We wouldn’t even consider anyone else! We had the same great experience! Just as he had with my son, Dr Rothman called that evening to check on my sweet girl. Again, that alone left a lasting impression! If you or your child needs any sort of oral or facial surgery, Dr Rothman should be your only choice! He is ours!

Amazing place for dental surgery! I am very anxious and my anxiety goes through the roof when I think about the dentist. I was able to be properly sedated during the surgery and dont remember any of it. My aftercare was easily explained and I was able to follow it. Also, the Dentist left me a personal message checking on me the day after surgery and sent me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers a week post op! Awesome!

My daughter had to have her wisdom teeth extracted.The whole staff was very professional. Dr. Rothman (and other staff) explained everything thoroughly and made sure you understood every step of the procedure. My daughter said she felt very comfortable and because they were so friendly to her she felt relaxed and okay before the procedure. Dr. Rothman even called to check up on her that evening!! Was nice just didnt realize it was gonna be so fast and then alot of pain afterwards

Absolutely the worst experience and continues to get even worse. Been in absolute pain since feb when I had an appointment to set up surgery. While there the doc was very dismissive to any request I had. I was told they would call me in a day or so to set up surgery and explain cost for out of pocket and what insurance would pay. They never called. I reached out 2 days ago bc I can’t bare the pain anymore. Was told they needed more information (back in feb from initial visit) and they would call me. Again, no call back. Today I called and the receptionist told me that are busy they will call me when they get a chance. No regards to my well-being or pain. It seems like they pick and choose who to work on and I wasn’t one of them. The office manager was very patient with me but yet just talked in circles making promises that went against the doctors recommendation. I was and still am upset bc I’m in pain, hungry and tired bc the lack of communication and service from them. I keep being told what is best for me by them knowing me for 30 min. No one, upon my initial visit, even looked into my mouth but yet they want to pull 6 teeth from a look at an X-ray. I asked for a remedy besides just extraction (ie.... dentures, implants) but was told that we could see about it at a later time. I’m not sure about anyone else but I’m not a fan of repeated dentist appointments involving invasive actions over a period of time. I understand that some things require multiple trips but even now, they will not take the time nor the understanding of my frustrations and begin to start a course of action other than doing what is recommended. I don’t feel like I’m being unreasonable when I am the consumer and they are a service provider. Apparently they provide what they want, when they want, and to who they want to serve. Absolutely the worst experience of my life. This may not happen to you but I am sure it’s happened here before. It would make sense that their rating is so high if they pick and choose who they serve bc they damn sure dismissed me from the time I walked thru the door. Good luck if you visit them. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

First, I have a great deal of anxiety when getting dental work, and let’s face it, no one likes having wisdom teeth or other teeth extracted. Having said that, I had the most relaxing and enjoyable experience possible at Alabama Oral & Facial Surgery. I went in to have a back molar removed, and the nurse and doctor discovered my wisdom tooth was also pressing down on that tooth from above. They explained everything to me so well, and both were removed today. Of course, I have a bit of pain, but the experience itself was wonderful. I was given something to relax before the sedation, and I don’t remember a thing. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses to the doctor were so incredibly kind and helpful. The doctor even called me this evening to make sure I was doing okay. That’s the kind of service that you just don’t seem to get much anymore, and it means I will recommend them to everyone I know. The facility itself is also beautiful and so clean and peaceful. You won’t be disappointed!!

The staff were so nice and very professional. I couldnt have been in better hands. Everything was explained to me about the procedure and the surgery was without incident. I experienced no pain. My daughter drove me there and she said the staff kept her informed about me throughout the surgery and my coming out from under anesthesia. She praised them highly.

Five Stars would have been perfect but I wanted people to be curious enough to think why 4 & not 5. My visit with them has been professional and very informative. There was a question about the invoice and everything was explained and I understood exactly what I was paying for and why it was necessary-there were no extra charges for using paper instead of filing electronically, etc. They are very attentive and you can tell they love what they do......thank you AOFS
