Dr. Emily Rousso was so incredibly good with my diva daughter. She kept her calm, entertained and simply explained age appropriate dental health. You’re in excellent hands of a physician who will minimize the stress of going to the dentist for the first time… and beyond!

I love my dentist family, from the front desk to my hygienist to the man in charge! They are simply the very best team! Again, from the latest equipment to the little extras, I love driving an hour to get the best dental care I could ask for in central Alabama!

My correct name is Amy Cleverdon-I cant say enough good things about this dental practice! Ive been a patient there for 10 years. They keep finding ways to provide innovative dental care. I broke a crown over the weekend, and got good advice from Dr. Rousso. They worked me in promptly, and since they are able to create porcelain crowns on-site, the issue was resolved in one visit. As always, the appointment was comfortable, pleasant and efficient. Best dental practice anywhere!

I was extremely happy with my decision to switch to Mountain Brook Smiles. I was completely satisfied with my teeth cleaning experience, specifically with the extra time the staff took to show me the technology they use. I was overly impressed with Dr. Craig Rousso as he took extra time to speak with me and get to know me as a person. So often my experience in the past has been the dentist rushes in to see you at the end of the appointment and its a very impersonal experience. This was not the case with Mountain Brook Smiles. I would certainly recommend Mountain Brook Smiles to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Dr. Sanford and his staff are the most professional, intelligent, courteous and considerate group of professional people Ive ever had to deal with in the medical world. Dr. Sanford is a dentists dentist. What I mean by that is he is on the cutting edge of all of the new developments in his field. And he makes sure that all of the people working for him are up to date too. Ive had a high level of training as a veterinary dentist for 20 years and I can tell the good from the best. Mountainbrook Smiles is the best. I say that with no hesitation whatsoever. This is the best dental clinic you will find in the Birmingham area.

I don’t think I have ever had a better dental experience. For someone who really doesn’t enjoy the dentist AT ALL I will say by far, this dental visit was so easy and relaxing. It’s the little things that really make a difference. They had cookies in the lobby, a menu of amenities like blankets and neck pillows, relaxing gas. I’ve never seen that and I was amazed. Overall the best part is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and really takes the time to explain things to you and educate you on your teeth and mouth health! Best dental office and I would highly recommend them!

Dr. Samford and his staff are all very friendly and fantastic. Being in the medical field and having a difficult schedule, the office has worked with me to schedule my appointments. I came to Dr. Samford with a mouth full of cavities that have been neglected for who knows how long, and he fixed everything up to where I now no longer have any problems with my teeth and gums. Everyone in the office makes sure that you are comfortable while also providing amenities to make your stay more enjoyable.

I can’t say enough great things about this dental practice! After living in Los Angeles for 13 years, I had become accustomed to cutting edge service from my dentist. I wanted that extra something from a practice and I sure hit the jackpot here! To start, my hygienist (Paige) was unbelievably sweet and descriptive with everything she did. I’m usually apprehensive at the dentist but she made me feel at ease. Dr. Samford came to meet me the minute I got there and listened to my concerns. I was immediately comforted by their exceptional customer service. But then came the AMENITIES! This is what separates them from everyone else! Warm blanket, eye mask, parrafin hand treatment, and a personal television with headphones just to name a few. How can the dentist be bad when you have so many wonderful distractions?? It’s been a looong time since I’ve seen a dentist due to my anxiety, but I’m actually looking forward to my visit again next month. This is my first (and most likely only) google review I’ve ever written. I feel that strongly about this place, so if you’re looking for a dentist—look no further, Mountain Brook Smiles is the best in Birmingham!!

Ive been going to Dr. Samford for four years now. My first visit was amazing mostly because it had been a few years since I had been to the dentist and I had terrible anxiety about it. They sat down with me and explained all of their processes, the tools they were going to use, etc. By the end of that first appointment I already looked forward to my next one. Dr. Samford and his team are a group of the nicest, most welcoming and caring people I know and I continuously go there and send people I know there because of this. Overpriced dentistry at its finest. The reason I have insurance is to not pay for routine cleanings. Save yourself time and money, find another dentist.
