We love to swim and Shades Valley Y has it all! The indoor pool is perfect for lap swimming and the outdoor pool is very accommodating for anyone with mobility issues- it even has a sloping entry..not to mention all the water features and 2 slides for the kids. Love this place so much! Superior facility, helpful n smiling staff, always a happy experience for the whole family.

Another YMCA location that doesnt fully support military. I was told they offer membership for active duty stationed in the area but do not allow passes for military in the area attending training, even after I offered to pay.

I would like to share my todays experience. In the swimming pool, the guard was sick. He had a runny nose and was sneezing. He sneezed constantly and all the drool flew in different directions. I asked at the reception why the guard was without a mask and why it was allowed him to work when he is sick ? After calling the supervisor, I received a reply that the guard was allowed not to wear a mask . Why is he allowed to work when he is sick (I remind you that the pandemic is not over) I have not received an answer ... ... Be careful when you go swimming. Nobody cares about you..... I wish everyone to stay healthy.

Love the Y. Have been going here almost everyday for over a year to workout. Staff is always nice and helpful. 4 star instead of 5 only because we referred a friend to receive 20% off for the year and were told we wouldnt get 20% off because we have a membership through my woes employer. For some reason that prevents us from getting the discount. I understand rules are rules but we werent told this from the beginning. Other than that, would recommend and love being a member here.

My daughter goes to aftercare at this Y and I am so pleased with our experience. The beginning of the year didnt start off so well but once counselors and management changed, there has been a big difference. Mr. Nick is amazing with the kids and his staff. And his staff is amazing with the kids. I have seen a difference in the way the kids act also. I have seen counselors sitting the kids down and having real life convos about hos you treat each other. And Ive also seen them getting involved and having fun with the kids. The counselors always have smiles on their faces and seem to enjoy what they are doing. Keep up the good work and cant wait til aftercare starts in August.

We really enjoy working out at this Y. Helpful staff and a clean facility. Excellent class choices and they keep their equipment up to date and maintained.

Been going for two years with kids and never had any problems.

Polite and friendly staff. The gym and locker rooms are always clean and the equipment in good working order. They have great classes and trainers who are always available.

My son is there now and we are looking to move him to another location asap. Just didnt work out for us. Hes been there since the beginning of summer and we have gone through our share of incidents that could have been avoided or better handled, but the counselors and leadership at this center are just not as great as my family had hoped. Please do your research as all ys are not created equal. Make sure you are comfortable with the way things are done and the concern/care given to your kids while at any camp.
