The best nail spa! This is simply the best nail salon around the DMV. I am David’s wife posting this and I want to tell you that if you were stressed during Covid and you need some time to relax and pamper yourself a bit, Blue Zen is the perfect antidote! Laura has such a wonderful team. The service and quality are outstanding! I would highly recommend a gel mani pedi as they last for so long and always look great!The salon is super clean with excellent protocols DOD your safety. Staff is completely customer focused! Call in advance so you don’t have to wait!

Lori, the owner, has been painting nails for 30 years and provides a clean, responsible and friendly service. I’ve always loved this place for being conveniently local and with a calm atmosphere. I’m terrible at doing my own nails and always appreciate how much better they look after I’ve come here. For $23, a person can have a very well set manicure by Lori that doesn’t easily chip.

Blue Zen has been my go-to nail salon for well over 5 years now. Conveniently located in Bethesda Row, just a few doors down from Le Spain Quotidien, Blue Zen always has a friendly staff of wonderful ladies. Each manicure and pedicure is an excellent job, meticulously executed with a professionalism I applaud.

I booked a manicure and pedicure treatment, gel polish including. The nail job was done well, the pedicure - heel treatment, hard skin removal - was a sad joke. I paid over 100 USD for quite a mediocre service and I’m not coming back. I wish the place was as posh as its price policy.

Gel manicure lasted over a week, quick & efficient service, will go back if in the area needing a refresher. I think some of the poor reviews were likely comparing this to a much larger spa instead of a convenience service in a busy area. The prices make sense to me given the location & convenience.

Blue Zen is anything but. They allow basic Chevy Chase moms and their enormous $1000 strollers in, complete with understandably fussy toddlers, so forget about having a relaxing experience. These are not clients who cant afford a babysitter - theyve just tacit approval from the owner who is far more interested in her own appearance and making a quick buck than in giving good customer service. The nail tables are shoved tightly together so if you are anything larger than size 0, expect to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Blue Zen is definitely not worth the Bethesda parking hassle and the strollers cause a fire hazard, which I will be reporting to the county.

Went at a quiet time, so was able to walk in without an appointment. They did a good job, but the gel manicure/pedicure didnt even last a week. Im guessing they use cheap, off brand polishes and still charge a fortune! Wont go back.

In the heart of Bethesda, the best nail spa in the entire metro area! I adore the owner Laura and her team of very talented and well trained staff. I have never had a better experience anywhere else! Laura will very rarely turn down a walk in customer and keeps the cleanliest shop Ive ever been in! Her entire team are extremely diligent to provide the best services from manicures and pedicures to eyebrow waxing, their goal is obviously quality and a true relaxing spa experience! I love this place and do not trust my nails and eyebrows with anyone else! Theres a reason I and many others in the Bethesda area are customer loyal to this gem of a spa.

They always take great care of me at blue Zen. Ive had manicures and pedicures and brow waxing and Im always happy with the experience and results.

I had a wonderful mani pedi with great foot and hand massages. My nails look wonderful and the polish is very well done, which I should know as I’m quite a nail polish enthusiast myself. Very friendly service, quality place.

Would not recommend to a friend. The women working there would be on their phones and not paying attention to what was going on. Also the prices are outrageous.

Worst place ever.The service was horrible.The Chinese leady cut the cuticle aggressively and it hurt like hell. When I get the manicure on one finger messed up, she screamed at me. She, in a very rude tone, asked how I got it like this and told my not to move at all. When I told here that she was super rude to me and I didnt like the way she talked to me, all she said was too bad you feel like that. She didnt even apologize.
