I went to this place to see Dr. Salter after she was recommended because of past male docs who I didnt think were empathic enough. I dont know if shes trying to keep up with her insensitive colleagues but she was terrible. I saw her for all of 3 minutes and she cut me off when trying to answer questions. She was very condescending and rude. While it is a beautiful office and the support staff are so nice and respectful, I will never go back to her. Also, the little waiting room in the back is filled with trophies or something about Shanbom. Like, we get it, youre a doctor. I did like the anecdotes from his patients. The rest seemed pretentious.

Good surgeon, but very impatient and unwilling to sit through questions. My mom may need some extra time and may want extra clarity but In my opinion he is rude. He literally walked out of the room while she talking to him. He never finished answering questions. In fact even laughed at my mom bc she asked questions she was unclear on. None of us are perfect. It just depends on what your looking for. We all have stuff we are going through, but I think we are going someplace else.

After two cataract surgeries spaced out over two years - i would highly recommend Dr Shanbom and his team. They are on top of things and actually had a good strategy from the get go to where I not only had my cataracts removed successfully but now I don’t even need eyeglasses! These folks are great and wanted to put the word out to anyone in need of quality eye surgery.

I had to have cataract surgery on my left eye. Ive always had terrible vision and I had to have surgery in 2011 on that eye that eventually results in developing a cataract. I was a bit scared and reluctant to have it done but the cataract was getting worse and I was actually seeing double vision at one point. I was referred to Shanbom Eye Clinic and I couldnt be happier! My surgery was really pain free as was my recuperation time and experience. Dr. Shanbom is a winner! He exudes confidence in what he does which makes the patient feel right at ease. He shows that he cares and he is very responsive to requests. I was skeptical at first when they said Youll be able to drive yourself to your follow up appointment the next day! but the night of the surgery I was already able to see perfectly for the FIRST TIME in my life and Im 56 years old! I healed very well and followed doctors orders to the letter and now Im excited to be having my right eye done so I can match. I will have vision like a normal person for the first time in my life. I brought my mom into see Dr. Shanbom to repair her cataract. The staff and doctor were Fabulous! Very caring, explained the problem, answered all of our questions. Best part he was able to do the laser treatment in the same visit. Would highly recommend!!!

This office has been extremely accommodating to me when I needed them most. I had gotten an abrasion on my eyeball during vacation and they were able to sneak me in the day I had gotten home. The entire staff is very professional and comforting.

One of the cataracts had been there for awhile and we weren’t sure if all the material could be removed. Dr. Shanbom made all the necessary preparations and both surgeries were successful. I had been wearing glasses for more than half a century and now I can see better than when I was nine-years old!The entire staff was very professional and friendly. I picked Dr. Shanbom for cataract surgery on the recommendation of my regular eye doctor who had taken her own mother to Dr. Shanbom for the same surgery. The entire experience was wonderful. Everyone, absolutely EVERYONE at this practice (doctor, staff and everyone in the surgical center downstairs) was fantastic. I dont care how far you have to travel, if you need cataract surgery or Lasik this is the doctor and practice to go to.

This review is written a little over a year after the actual experience and after some reflection I realize that it was truly remarkable. I was not the patient. My sister waswho has mild dementia needed cataract surgery as well a procedure to separate the lens from the pupil. Everything went well. Why wait for cataract surgery?Have it as soon as possible. I was leery about having eye surgery and wanted to wait until I really needed it. The actual procedure was incredible! The very next day I was seeing 20/20 and couldnt wait to have my other eye done, and I did without hesitation.
