We had the best experience with Dr. Oberlin. He is attentive, has wonderful bedside manner, and is a great surgeon! My husbands surgery went perfect without any post op complications. He made personal calls to follow up and addresses any concerns promptly. His office staff is also great. I would highly recommended Dr. Oberlin for all your Urology needs! We are lucky to have been referred and be under his care.

Dr. Oberlin is the most talented, skilled surgeon in the Bay Area and beyond. I was incredibly lucky to find him. Not only is he a skilled surgeon and physician, he is one of the most kind, compassionate and caring people I have ever met. During one of the most difficult days of my life, Dr. Oberlin and his staff arranged to see me that very same day - he provided me with a thorough explanation about my condition and options for treatment - he put me and my family at ease. He gave me his email and phone number; but he would generally follow up with me before I contacted him - he genuinely cares. I also was up and about 1 week after he performed a complicated robotic procedure on me; 2 months later and the scars are barely visible. I wish there were more physicians like Dr. Oberlin in every field of medicine and in every hospital - he is one of a kind. If you have a urology condition of any type - rush to see him.

Dr. Oberlin provided me with excellent care when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was attentive, provided detailed information, and worked hard to ensure I was comfortable with every step we took. He always made sure that I understood what options were available and the pros and cons of each option. We had a great experience with Dr. Oberlin and we would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, and thoughtful doctor . My Dad had an enlarged prostate (something that majority of elderly men experience) and he was lucky to be assigned to Dr. Oberlin. He worked diligently with us to try all available non-surgical options. Unfortunately in our Dads case he required a surgical procedure. Dr. Oberlin thoroughly explained to us a number of surgical options and based on this information we were able to make an informed decision that we were most comfortable with. Dr. Oberlin, and the whole team at Golden Gate Urology was extremely helpful in my medical needs. I came in for surgery and was amazed at the service I received. No question was too small to ask, coming up to the surgery. The after-care was amazing. I was able to speak to the Dr. and staff about what my next steps were. He even took the time to call me and ask how I was doing personally. Dr Daniel Oberlin is by far the greatest urologist that Ive ever had. Besides considerate, attentive and kind, he is very professional and expert in his field. He will advice and guide you thought all the process and prescribe the better test for your symptoms. Furthermore he will follow up and check if you get better by email or phone. Wow, what can I say about the best Dr. I have known? Dr. Oberlin is a kind, caring, straightforward, realistic, compassionate, and competent specialist - easily tops in the state/country. I sought three separate opinions on how to handle my cancer and all agreed with Dr. Oberlin - but none had his positive demeanor and accessibility to answer ANY question at any time via email, phone call, or in person. I haven’t even told him all this but - he saved my life, thank you!I give this man my highest recommendation to treat you, and your family. I trusted him with my life and he came through - I had a few doubts, but he didn’t :) What I also like about him is his ability to care, but keep it real with what may or may not happen - real talk, no bullshit, which I appreciate - as do most men. When I was diagnosed with intermediate-stage prostate cancer, my urologist, the wonderful Dr. Piser, set up an appointment for me with Dr. Oberlin. My MRI and a consultation with a radiation oncologist plus the initial biopsy all pointed to a surgical solution. From the moment my Sweetie and I met Dr. Oberlin, we were absolutely convinced that he was a fantastic choice for the surgery. He inspires confidence and he was very generous with his time. The surgery went well and he has made himself fully available through phone and email to answer post-surgical questions. He even called me today with the biopsy results. I feel truly privileged to have him watching over my healing process.

Dr. Oberlin surgically removed a kidney stone from my ureter. He impressed me very favorably as a warm, caring doctor who empathized with my concerns and who skillfully removed the kidney stone without having to place a stent. I highly recommend him.

Five stars are not enough for Dr. Oberlin and his excellent team at Golden Gate Urology - especially for treatment of prostate cancer.Last December, after getting some worrisome blood test results at my annual physical, I was referred to Dr. Oberlin for follow-up. Throughout the process of diagnosis and treatment, he was straightforward, compassionate and always available to help me understand my situation and calibrate my anxiety. When it became clear that surgery -- a complicated procedure called a robotically-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy -- was the best option for me, I became highly focused on making sure I had the best surgeon possible to perform this operation. Because of some connections we had at a major teaching hospital back east, I was able to reach out to some of the best prostate cancer doctors in the country, including the doctor who invented the nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy almost forty years ago. After speaking with them, I was able to confirm Dr. Oberlin’s reputation as an outstanding physician and, in particular, his skill and expertise at the very procedure I was looking at. As a result, I was able to confidently proceed with him as my surgeon.The outcome was beyond what I hoped for. Dr. Oberlin was able to remove all of the cancer while sparing the important nerves that run along either side of the prostate. The subsequent pathology report confirmed negative surgical margins and no cancer visible in any of the lymph nodes removed during the surgery. I spent just one day in the hospital, and my recovery has been way better than expected. Within two to three weeks, I was feeling pretty much like my old self, only without the cancer. I am so grateful that I was in a position to be treated by Dr. Oberlin for this serious medical problem, and am glad that he will be the one looking after me as I move forward.

When I was told I had prostate cancer it scared the hell out of me. After several opinions from very good Doctors (Dr. Pienkny and Dr. Kornguth) the best course of treatment decided was a prostatectomy. I was referred to Dr. Oberlin who would perform the surgery. He was very thorough with his explanation of the robotic surgery he would perform and what to expect in recovery. He was very patient answering my questions. He took the time to listen, really listen. That was very comforting.After a successful surgery he was right there to continue to provide amazing care. While recovering I would email him and he would get back to me the same day which is unheard of these days. He would text me to see how I was coming along. Amazing.I have never written a review to post online on any subject, but I felt compelled to do so regarding my care. I was a patient of Dr. Gill and Dr. Oberlin this year for an elevated PSA. Found out I had prostate cancer with aggressive features. Their dedication to my cancer and treatment was outstanding. From start to finish I was given all the options and I chose a robotic radical prostatectomy. They did an outstanding job and I really believe their medical knowledge and surgical skills saved my life. My PSA score have been non-detectable and cancer free since surgery.
