Be warned. There is no patient parking and the recommended adjacent Alta Bates garage is completely full (they do not offer validation either). I arrived early, spent 15 mins looking for on-street parking & was 9 mins late. The doctor wouldn’t see me. This is not a patient-friendly place.

The office is amazing!! Gorgeous and everything runs super smoothly. I was very impressed. I had Hillary as my doc when I came in, and she was great at explaining my treatment options and making a plan of care for my skin.It was also very convenient to get RX products from this practice; same day pick-up was easy to arrange! Its only been a couple weeks since I started treatment, and my skin has improved a ton.

The office was clean and open with welcoming and kind staff. Dr. Icecreamwala was attentive and listened to my concerns. She talked with me in plain terms and gave me options with pros and cons so I felt confident in my decision. I will absolutely use them again!

I was turned around for being 13 minutes late. My visit was scheduled for a mole that has been growing. I have skin cancer history in my family, and this is a stressful, scary situation for me. I had been waiting for this appointment nervously for 2 weeks, and got out of the house 10 minutes late because I have a toddler at home with separation anxiety. I explained all this and what I got was you would have been seen if you had gotten here on time. I am worried about the lack of empathy in a supposedly medical clinic and would definitely not bring my health concerns to them.

The place is clean, the reception area is large with plenty of seating and even iPhone charging stations, nice touch. Staff was friendly. The person I saw to have a few skin tags removed was super nice and friendly and professional. She explained everything very clearly.Great experience, thank you!

My husband & I have had the best experiences with Dr. Icecreamwala. We have had great results with the treatments we had asked for & even though we are about to move 2 hours away, we will continue to come back to her for her services. We are so grateful we found her & her beautiful office!

I was in and out so fast. I do however wish she went over more ways to heal. I did really like how she explained that I would scar if I decided to make an incision so we went with laser. I would definitely go back to Nicole for more procedures!

Had been going here for micro needling and very disappointed by my experience. In order to keep their clinic running on time, I was “numbed” for just 7 minutes (and I requested twice that they extend the time) and ended up in excruciating pain and tears during my actual service. They then had to stop the service and reapply the numbing cream for the requisite 20-30 minutes. It’s completely irresponsible for a healthcare provider to provide care in such a haphazard manner just to keep their logistics on track. I’d rather that they had me wait longer but be properly anesthetized than rushed without appropriate anesthesia. I will not return to this clinic. It was not my first time with microneedling and this has never happened to me at another clinic, it is usually a pain free experience

Walked in, immediately greeted by office staff and forms were ready for me to sign. Before I could even finish filling out the forms the doctor was ready to see me. She addressed my issues professionally, courteously, and thoroughly and I was out of the office within 15 minutes, I couldnt believe it. Highly recommend this office to anyone seeking a dermatologist.

I have been visiting Icecreamwala Dermatology for quite some time and I always leave the office happy. I never wait long to be seen and someone always takes the time to answer my questions. All of the staff there are courteous and kind but I particularly love seeing Hillary because of her skill and personality that would make anyone feel at ease.

When I first stepped in the office it smelled so lovely and there was such a calm ambiance. The front of house staff, nurses, and doctor were so kind, patient, and explained everything. I felt listened to and well taken care of.

Extremely friendly staff with an exceptional amount of knowledge about the procedures that they offer. They answered all of my questions and concerns. You can tell that they really take pride in their work at this place. I have gone to other dermatologists who are more worried about getting you in and out of the office as fast as they can to increase their bottom line , rather than making the patient comfortable about particular procedures. THE WORST PLACE… the worst place to do a face treatment and all expensive. the wrecks and creams that are cheap on the internet there are triple the price… I was with them for 3 months for a spot on my face and the spot never faded… dont spend your money in vain….

The vibe here is awesome. I got a dermatology appointment to figure out how to deal with body acne and hyperpigmentation. I got some prescriptions, and also a glycolic peel. Had three sessions of the peel in total, and noticed results after the first one. Love that I found this place.

I started coming there summer of 2020 and I don’t regret a single visit. They are all so friendly and helpful Hilary is amazing and I felt so comfortable around her! The staff and medical assistance are so wonderful and professional. I recommend this spot to everyone!!!

Due to the big amount of good reviews I thought my experience was going to be good. But the dermatologist seems very distant and cold, she doesn’t say or help much. I felt like I was talking with a salesperson rather than a doctor, because all she did about my skin issues was “prescribing” me a moisturizer and other of the products she has there. I’m 23 and I asked for suggestions to prevent wrinkles and her answer was: “you’ll have to start using Botox eventually”. I really felt it was a waste of time and money :(

Very nice office, great vibes from everyone, and the whole operation felt well organized.About a year ago, I had a common, easily treated skin condition. I suggested the condition as my best guess to Dr. Icecreamwala but gladly accepted her alternative diagnosis. I proceeded to buy the prescription and follow the instructions for two months, all with no reduction in symptoms. I then saw another doctor and received a prescription for the condition I initially suggested to Dr. Icecreamwala. Within the expected time frame of the new medication, the skin condition was cured. The visible abnormalities and pain were gone.This experience served as a reminder that even people who are clearly very good at what they do (look at the other reviews) and accomplished can make big mistakes that result in a lot of preventable pain.

I am the physician-grandmother of a teenage boy with acne, relocating his care from SF to the East Bay. I was pleased with Dr. Icecreamwalas assessment of his skin condition (basically providing a second opinion, and concurring with the previous providers thinking). I appreciated her careful discussion about the pros and cons of Acutane. Given the possible side effect of serious depression, she advised waiting with a trying this medication until post-pandemic return to normal life. During the pandemic it would be difficult to judge whether depression could be caused by the pandemics disruptions in a young persons life, or whether it was likely an Acutane side effect. Without our being able to know which was causing the depression, Acutane would have to be stopped since causation couldnt be ruled out. Dr. Icecreamwala added that once Acutane was stopped because it MIGHT have caused depression, doctors would likely be unwilling to try it (again) in the future.So, in a careful and caring way she gave us serious food for thought, related well to our young-adult grandson, and provided him a positive encounter even though he was disappointed that she did not encourage use of Acutane at this point in time.

This was my initial visit and the informative welcoming response I received during my phone scheduling continued upon my arrival to the office. My consultation was brief, but I felt very comfortable and assured of the doctors medical advice. I look forward to my return visit and seeing what the next steps in correcting my skin issues will uncover.

When I called with a medical concern I was able to get an appointment the next day. Staff was helpful, kind, extremely efficient, and very careful regarding COVID. Highly recommended!

I had $2000 micro needling treatments done without any positive result. They did not provide me with any additional treatment sessions and told me that those wrinkles will always be there but the treatments are slowing down the aging. That was not the reason for me to go there. Poor follow up customer service. I do not recommend micro needling at this clinic for anybody. I wish somebody had warned me before I wasted my money.

Dr.Icecreamwala is very nice and a great dermatologist :) Ive had combination skin and acne and stubborn large pores for years and she put me on a regimen that made me finally stop touching my face and let it heal and the products work very well. I have sensitive skin so Ive avoided products that arent natural but these products do not give me reaction. She is very detailed, patient, and a good listener. She is able to answer all of my questions and explains everything well. I was afraid to go to a dermatologist for a while because I have some friends who got strong medicine for their acne but Dr.Icecreamwala is very sweet and starts with gentle solutions then checks in with you later and you can work up stronger solutions if youd like. Im very happy with the progress Im making and to be able to work with Dr.Icecreamwala and highly reccomend her!

I had a video appointment for a cosmetic consultation. The entire process was easy and seamless. Both the doctor and nurse made me feel really comfortable and answered all my questions.

This place felt like a botox parlor and not a doctors office. I came here for a dermatological issue and was not seen by doctor Icecreamwala but by one of the assistants. I did not trust their opinion, so I ended up seeing a doctor at a far less boutiquey-looking office who gave me a different diagnosis. It was a minor issue but still I am surprised by the numerous positive reviews...Maybe I just missed the primary focus of this office which is definitely more cosmetological than medical.

My experience here was great. I’m a new patient and even still, the check-in and wait time combined was about 5 min. The appointment itself was maybe 10 min. I saw Nicole (?). She was patient, professional, answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns very kindly. A lot of Drs offices I go to seem to rush patients out because they think their time is just so precious and then charge an arm and a leg still. This office was kind with their time.The only thing to remember, which isn’t a bad thing.. don’t put a lot of money in the meter like I did lol. I thought it’d take awhile, but it was about 15-20 min in and out. :)

I dont feel like I was given any opportunity to talk about what might be causing my acne, nor any in-depth explanation of what the products I was handed do. I was just handed them and told to start using them. I wish the PA would explained what retinol is, how my acne works, what causes it, why I need moisturizer, what is specifically wrong with the products Im using now, etc. Additionally, I was not told the prices of any of the products and the lack of transparency there made me feel like it was more important to the PA to sell products and make a profit than it was to actually help me build a better relationship with my skin care routine. All the staff were friendly and the space was super clean, but I felt more like I was going to a snake oil shop than a medical professional.

I originally went in to get a read on a bump on my toddlers ear (which she diagnosed quickly and confidently), but then I asked her a question about my own skin and she was happy to spend the time to address my concerns and even offered some advice from another dermatologist in the office, which i took. This is all to say, she was patient, knowledgable, kind and understanding. I purchased a couple of products and left with some information on potential treatments that could help me in the future, but never felt pressured to buy or do anything I wasnt comfortable with. Will definitely go back.

Scheduled an appointment online, then cancelled within the time frame. Continue to receive bills from them for missed appointment. Attempted to rectify. Company called me but it was an outside billing agency which was not helpful. Wish there was a bit more leniency on billing, especially since I did spend a fair amount of money with them to begin with.

She was helpful, apologetic that I had to go through the pain. She was patient with me and shared information thoroughly for post care. Even gave my feet a diabetic exam to make sure there were no concerns (which isnt what I came in for) so accommodating.I would highly recommend this office, the staff and the doctor. Dr. Icecreamwala is so friendly and helpful. I love that she’s open to discussion. A lot of doctors won’t really tell you what they’re thinking and won’t take the time to explain your body to you, but Dr. Icecreamwala is. She’s open to ideas and is so kind. Her office is also adorably decorated and super tech-friendly. The apps they use to sign your HIPAA agreements are great! I would definitely recommend paying her a visit.

The staff and Dr. Icecreamwala continue to provide excellent service! This was my 2nd visit and first since pandemic started. The waiting area was spacious with hand sanitizer and clearly cleaned before my arrival. The receptionist was profession and helpful. And I just love Dr. Icecreamwala’s care and approach. (And she has great shoes too!). I do not feel oversold and feel taken care of.

Highly recommend this place. I worked with Jennifer (PA) and she listened to my concerns and gave empathetic and thoughtful feedback. I thought I might feel rushed because of other reviews, but Jennifer took the time to shake my hand and ask me about my day, which made me feel super comfortable. The digital streamlining of the paperwork was amazing. I was running a few minutes late and they were super nice about it. The office is clean and everyone was incredibly kind and courteous. I hope one day all doctors offices will transition to the cafe waiting room, as it was really pleasant and helped alleviate the anxiety I feel when I go to the doctor. Also - there were plenty of products for sale but no one tried to push any on me, which is common at some dermatologists’ offices. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I normally hate doctors but this was overall a great experience.

I didn’t know what to expect with the jazzy name but I was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Icecreamwalla was fun to visit. I used the paid parking across the street but I think they have their own parking. It’s a lovely new building and their waiting room is sunny and cheerful. The staff is really nice. I had gone to two other dermatology appointments in different places and they never gave me a diagnosis for my problem. The physicians assistant here at Dr. Icecreamwala, Jennifer, was super nice and gave me a diagnosis which I feel is correct. She also gave me some good ideas for self-care and ordered my prescription to be delivered by mail as we talked. All in all a very good experience atDr Icecreamwala.

As I was looking for a dermatologist for my 13 year old daughter’s acne I had one main goal. To find a younger female doctor so that my daughter would feel more comfortable. I have to admit though that when I saw the name Dr. Icecreamwala I was immediately drawn in because that is the best last name ever!!!What an amazing experience at this office!When I called to book the gentleman who booked our appointment was warm and gracious. When we arrived the receptionist ( forgive me for not remembering but I think it was Jibran?) was also warm and inviting and the office is set up like an awesome cafe . He was constantly checking on us while we were waiting to make sure we were comfortable.Dr. Icecreamwala made my daughter feel super comfortable and we were both totally enamored with her! We are so lucky to have found her!

Dr. Icecreamwala is a wonderful, caring doctor who really listens and who knows her stuff. When is the last time a doctor actually called you to see how you were doing post procedure? She asked me about my reason for visiting and listened to me as I recall my daily skincare regimen (missing details that she helped me remember). She was patient and attentive. She has great bedside manner as she asked to touch my irritated area before doing so.Dr. Icecreamwala prescribed a regimen to me and explained the components that I should be looking for in my face wash and skin care (aka not trying to sell me products). She gave me a list of steps and samples to try.I also asked about my knee keloid following a knee surgery. She was willing to give me advice even past my appointment time! She really does care about her patients and I can tell she loves her job.If I have other skin problems, Dr. Icecreamwala will be the first person Id call!

I went to Icecreamwala Dermatology for a regular skin check during my lunch break. The facility is very nice- it felt like a coffee shop. The process was really fast and easy. I didn’t receive the “state of the art” care or procedures they insist they provide. I think thats only for certain patients. I did get a second opinion however and my condition is gone now. Although the office/staff were nice, the overall experience with the doctor was lacking. It all happened so fast (maybe 3minutes total) I don’t even know what she thought I had. But she did insist that my condition was incurable in as little words as possible. All my follow up questions after that were met with one word answers, a prescription and a request to come back in two weeks. Now why would I do that? Long story short: always get a second opinion.

I actually loved going to my dermatologist! Dr. Icecreamwala was extremely knowledgeable and professional and the facility was clean and beautiful. The wait time was short and service was great with wonderful amenities. Ill be coming back soon!
