The staff here is amazing! I remember it being my first time at a new dentist and it honestly felt so comfortable that it felt like I’ve been going there for years. The quality and care is top notch and I highly recommend.

Always a pleasure going to see Dr. Yip. She went above and beyond for my most recent filling - offering me sanitized noise-canceling headphones to wear during the procedure. She also took the time to listen to me when certain fillings werent feeling 100% smooth and perfected them before the end of the appointment. The whole office staff is also very kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Yip is a fantastic dentist! She is very knowledgeable. She cares deeply about each patient individually, taking time to find out how you are, what is affecting you, etc. She treats all of the technicians, office staff, the same way. Everyone is upbeat. The atmosphere is very calming and welcoming. And now with COVID 19, they have gone above and beyond the requirements to ensure the safety and well being of all of the patients and staff.

Our whole family has been going to Dr. Yip for about 15 years. She is an incredibly skilled and aware dentist who has always kept us well and comfortable. She never missed diagnosing a problem and has always treated us with perfect care, great sensitivity, and good humor. We have recommended others to her and they have had the same experience. Her whole staff is just as superb.

I love Dr. Yip! She has been my dentist for 25 years. Over the years Ive had crowns and fillings. Dr. Yip has been proactive in diagnosing problems that needed to be dealt with right away and procedures that could wait awhile. I have never felt any pain during any procedure. I had a pre-crown appointment today and had 2 shots. Dr. Yip warned me that one of the shots might hurt but it did not. She is excellent at preparing the area so that there is minimal discomfort. Her office staff, dental assistants, and dental hygienists are all professional, friendly, and excellent at their jobs. Its apparent when walking into the office that it is a place where people are respected and treated well. Lastly, Dr. Yip has done a remarkable job at ensuring that staff and patients are protected from exposure to Covid. The office is spotless, all staff are masked and those working directly with patients wear an N95 mask with another mask on top and then also wear a plastic screening over the masks. Patients are given hand sanitizers and have their temperatures and pulses taken prior to any procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Yip and her practice for anyone needing dental care.

Dr. Yipp has essentially destroyed all phobias I once held about the dentist. All of her staff are so welcoming, professional and warm. Dr. Yipp herself is funny, lighthearted, but insanely good at her job. I have never been disappointed with the quality of work (going on like 6 or 7 fillings!), the results of the homework she assigns (mouth guards, different flossing regimens etc), and overall improvement of my dental health/hygiene. Thank you for all of your help with my pearly whites!!

Dr. Yip is truly the best dentist I have ever visited. I have incredibly bad teeth (I blame genetics), and Dr. Yip has taken great care of all of my issues, even giving me lifestyle tips to avoid future cavities and improve my oral health. Dr. Yip and all of her assistants have a wonderful chair-side manner and overall, the harrowing experience of visiting the dentist is made as easy and comfortable as possible in this office.

They wont help you with your insurance until after you finally get an appointment 2 months later.

I have been going to Dr. Yip for more than 20 years and she has been consistently brilliant! I have had a fair number of crowns created and installed by her, including my 4 front uppers where the enamel had become thin from drinking gallons of San Pellegrino for years. Those were a true work of art once completed.Also, she knows the Jedi Knight Trick of Distraction when she needs to give you an anaesthetic injection. I recommend her to the world!

I was extremely hesitant about seeing a dentist in this environment, however, from the moment I was greeted I felt extremely safe. It was easy to tell that safety was the most important thing to the staff. I had my regular cleaning, which was without the machines which I understand releases aerosols, and I feel fantastic today.

I always have a positive experience at Dr. Yips office. The dental hygienists are patient, knowledgable and friendly, as are the front office staff. Dr. Yip Is the best! I had a crown break off over the weekend and I called her for assistance. She called me back within 10 minutes and walked me through how to care for my tooth over the weekend. She fit me in first thing Monday morning and put a temporary cover on my tooth and explained what to expect for my recovery. She also was really patient and understanding with me despite my anxiety about the procedure. She even followed up with me after the appointment to make sure I was ok. I am so glad I found her and I know she will be my lifelong dentist.

Dr. Yip’s office has extremely good safety procedures in place to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. They have plasma air filters in every room in in the offices, They sanitize a patient’s hands, checked their temperature and their blood oxygen rate upon entry. The hygienist wears a mask, face shield, and a respirator. They have returned to using metal instruments to clean teeth instead of using the water method to avoid Aerosolizing any liquids. All this is totally separate from the high quality of dental services I received a Dr. Yip’s practice. I highly recommend this dental office.

My COVID-19 dental nightmare. Let me start by saying I absolutely 💕💕💕 Dr. Yip!!! I stepped on my retainer after it slipped off the table on a Friday and tried to repair it myself with a denture repair kit I purchased at Walgreens over the weekend. That was a disaster because I couldn’t get it back in my mouth ☹️ and I had an embarrassing gap in my smile 🤭🤨My sister told me to keep my 😷 on and nobody would notice...haha! Don’t ya just love family. Monday was a holiday, so I called Dr. Yip the following Tuesday. Even though the office is closed til June 1, she met me in the office within an hour and repaired the mess I made of my retainer and sent me on my way. Dr. Yip is the most caring and compassionate dentist I know. She has small practice that’s operated by two female dentists with big hearts, who really make you feel like family. I saw my niece this weekend who is fearful of dentists and has been suffering from dental pain for years. I told her to call Dr. Yip.#YOUROCKDRYIPPaula P

Glad I was recommended Dr. Yip by my oral surgeon. She is very thorough and gentle. Her staff is on point as well. Nice decor too. And they dont mind that I sometimes fall asleep during my 8am appointments! Im happy that I finally have a neighborhood dentist.

Dr. Yip is the best! I love that she thoroughly explains the reasons for her treatment. It could be that she used to be a professor! The staff in her office are all very kind. Last visit I was provided noise cancelling headphones so I could listen to my podcast during treatment. I also got a blanket to keep warm. If that wasn’t enough, I love the art throughout the office.

Dr. Yip is friendly, knowledgable and always makes sure Im comfortable. Shes big on prevention and being proactive. Educating her patients in good oral hygiene means less visits to her office for us! Its not about just brushing and flossing for her. Do you know why you should never brush your teeth right after you eat? Did you know that grinding your teeth in your sleep can lead to sensitivity to temperatures and/or sweets? Other dentists fixed my problems, but Dr. Yip explains how I got the problem and how to prevent future problems. I love her office and her staff is professional and helpful! Dr. Yip is awesome!

Dr. Yip is an outstanding dentist. I have been her patient for 25 years, starting soon after she started in the profession. Besides doing great work, she is wonderful in terms of pain management, and has a warm, open personality with a great sense of humor. I started life with a great set of teeth, but took this for granted and didnt take good care of them for a long time. As a result, I ended up needing a lot of work. Dr. Yip has a very proactive but not judgemental way of advising people like me about proper dental hygene. When I started seeing Dr. Yip all those years ago, she was in first story walk-in offices on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley. A few years ago she moved down the street to much larger, nicer digs with all new everything, renovated space, new furniture, artwork, equipment. Everything else was the same, Im glad to say. The same friendly, relaxed atmosphere, the same happy employees, and the same great dentist.

Ive been seeing dr yip for over 15 years. She and her staff are excellent at what they do, and friendly and kind, to boot. Ive never received anything other than excellent care there, and after 15 years of dentistry thats say a lot, I think. And they never up sell, like all the places my friends talk about pushing veneers and whitening treatments.

Dr. Yip came highly recommended to me by Dr Ramos -Director of the UCSF Oral Medicine Clinic. I have complicated dental care needs. I am a survivor of oral cancer, which unfortunately has left me with trismus (difficulty opening my mouth widely). She is so thourough, caring and professional - always making recommendations on how to improve my oral care. Knowing she worked and taught at UCSF assure me that she knows signs and symptoms of oral cancer. I recommend her for all dental care needs.All the staff are kind professional and helpful. The office is pleasant and clean. Her hygienist is awesome too! Able to work with my limited jaw opening with no problem.
