I am a devoted fan of Dr DeVigal and his office personnel. I’ve been to a number of dentists in Berkeley over the past 5 decades and Dr DeVigal is by far the best. Of course he is technically good and uses the most up-to-date equipment and techniques but, frankly, I appreciate his aesthetics most. He has never missed on color matching, a problem several dentists have had in the past. Teeth Dr DeVigal has repaired always look better than my original teeth but also do not look artificial or unnatural.The office staff is excellent, always personable and efficient. Excellent all the way around!!

As always, my appointment was great. Everyone in the office is kind, and committed to the highest level of service. COVID safety is a priority there.

Positive and efficient visit from start to finish. Offered a Saturday appointment to address an unusual situation. Then offered same day slot that opened up. Everyone always friendly and efficient, knowledgable, and competent. Got an exam, x-rays, diagnosis, and referral quickly. I am confident things will go well with procedure and follow up largely due to the quality of attention received from Dr. DeVigal and staff.

Dr. DeVigal and his staff have always been very attentive, friendly and genuinely cares about their patients. There are plenty of quality dentists in my area, however none of them come closeto Dr. D!

I felt very safe on this visit with the hygienist. There were numerous precautionary measures before I even got into the room. And some new equipment that helped her stay out of my mouth more. And my teeth feel nice and clean.My only problem was I missed everyone in the office. It is so friendly .So I send greetings to Joy and Dr. DeVigal.

Damaya is a truly gifted and caring hygienist, and I really appreciate her skill.I am supposed to be on a 6-month schedule for cleaning, and the office had postponed my appointment today by a month. Today my gums were in their worst shape ever. I appreciate that office staff were willing to come in and work on a Saturday. However, when I tried to schedule my next appointment, I was told they are understaffed and could not see me again for 8 months. Unless they are able to hire another hygienist or add in some additional Saturdays, I am worried that I will have to find a new dentist. That would be sad - I have been coming here for 25 years.

I have a patient of Dr. DeVigal for a long time, siince he started his practice at this locaion. I coulld go to a dentist much closer to my home, but never even consider doing so as I value Dr. DeVigals dental work and manner of offering treatment and services so much. Yesterday, I was there for a routine cleaning. They observed strong COVID safety protocols and everyone was friendly and professional as they always are. I highly recommend this practice.

I always receive highly professional, competent dental care from Dr. DeVigal. This time it is for a crown for a front tooth damaged in an accident. He is very conscientious and careful, and a pleasure to interact with. His staff too.

I just love my dentist and his associates. They are just so welcoming and they have set up their offices so that I feel safe about going there. Dr. Devigal, Joy, Aqua, Demaris, you all rock! And they are really good at what they do.

Love the new COVID protocols. They really take it seriously. They were prompt and on time. Communication was great from booking to follow up to appointment day.

Another positive review. Dr. DeVigal has been my dentist now for many years. He and his team are champions. I recently had an emergency wisdom tooth that became painful on a Friday afternoon just before the three day Labor Day weekend. I called and left a message late that afternoon and just an hour later I got a call from Joy... his receptionist. She asked many questions and gave me instructions on helping me to ease the pain. Also during the long weekend, there were more calls to me making sure that I would survive until Tuesday. First thing on Tuesday morning I was in the office and the tooth was inspected, x rayed and sure enough it had to be removed. Joy called the oral surgeon and I was in the surgeons seat within the hour and the tooth was removed right away. Fast, efficient and caring. This is without a doubt the best dentist and assistants and they really care about their patients. Thanks to all, I am now recovering and the tooth is out! Thank you to all. You are the best!

Ive gone to Dr. DeVigal for years, and I very much appreciate his kind and thoughtful manner. He and his staff are thoroughly professional but also warm and friendly. When Ive had problems, hes always been most responsive and fitted me in as quickly as he could.

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Devigal, especially because of his patience in dealing with me--a very problematic (medically) person. I have a genetic condition which gives me an extra small mouth, extra small teeth, thin and fractured enamel, a wobbly bite and other dental problems which makes me kind of a patient from hell.Other dentists would have given up on me, but Dr. DeVigal persisted and finally (fingers crossed) fixed my last problem (and there have been many). I had a crown which would not stay on because of the aforementioned issues. Try, try and try until you succeed! Well, Dr. DeVigal did succeed!His is a friendly family practice and he has an office full of up-to-date machines and he seems to know the latest techniques. Dr. DeVigal has never tried to up-sell me to do things I didnt really need. Hes honest. Since I havent been to other dentists in quite a while, I dont know what the others charge, but Dr. DeVigals prices seem fair.So for a relaxed, kind and competent doctor, I would highly recommend him (and nobody paid or encouraged me to write this review!)

Dr. DeVigals skill is top tier and the office is run very efficiently while being super friendly, caring and kind. This is the best combination for me, the patient. I have had two friends tell me that they think their Dentists told them they needed procedures that they both thought were unnecessary. One of those got a 2nd opinion that confirmed their suspicions. Dr DeVigal is more conservative. For example, he has been watching one of my teeth for many years, saying it may need a cap, we will keep an eye on it. Still watching it. The dental hygienists are also excellent and thorough. The office decor is excellent, the office is quiet, except for the relaxing Classical music that has been played in the office for over 20 years. Yes, I highly recommend Dr. DeVigal!!

Dr D is the best! I moved out of the state and still come back to his office for my cleanings.

I work for a dental supplier and teach continuing education to dentists so I have just a bit of expertise in evaluating them. Dr. Devigal is on the short list of my clients where I would happily get my own dental work done.But dont take my word for it.
